I love the variety of dishes that you make from the numerous regions of Italy. The goulash you made reminds me very much of my Hungarian grandmother’s cooking when I was growing up. It’s wonderful to see the various cultures coming together in the cuisine! God bless you!
@@danferguson4004 I also make it with pork, for example shoulder, and it is very good. It is a national dish in Hungary and can be prepared with both types of meat. That's what I found from being there. The secret of the taste of the dish comes from the use of original sweet Hungarian red pepper in large quantities - at least 2 tablespoons. But try what you have.
It may be true that goulash has been a popular dish in northeastern Italy for over a century, but I would consider it a bit controversial to present it as "Italian" without mentioning its true origins. Even if this is an Italian version of goulash, just like liptauer of Trieste, which is only a far cry from the original Slovak recipe with bryndza.
Each country has its own version of goulash. I see in America where macaroni and beef is called Goulash. To them, it is. There’s more than one way to make it so,it’s not a purist version like you’re thinking of. It’s still a goulash if that’s what they call it.
@ I know it is. You missed the point. It’s not the traditional Hungarian goulash but it has similarities and therefore every region that has a “goulash” uses similar ingredients. We all, know it’s not THE Hungarian goulash so why are you expecting it to be?
Lydia, you always do a beautiful job. May God bless you and your mother and the whole family.

With such a Russian accent you are from Italy. Amazing!
She's full blooded Italian please
It looks so good! Can you add carrots too? 😋
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can you use gluten free flour on the beef cubes?
В Унгария запечатват месото без брашно.
Yummo
Could I make this dish with pork? Would I use the same spices and herbs?
Правя го и със свинско и е много добре. В Унгария е национално ястие и може да се приготви и с двата вида месо.
@Марта-й7е I wish I read Cyrillic but I'm an American and you know how we are LOL

Looks delicious, but the price of beef right now is ridiculous.
..looks like beef stew wo carrots 🥕..
😅
It has nothing to do with goulash ( gulyas) don't call it goulash
😂😂
Therefore I only watch different region foods by locals making it. This was not Goulash.

You wrong. Goulash(gulyás) is a traditional Hungarian soup . Other countries has they own beef STEW not goulash.

Не е в стила на унгарската кухня, но е добра рецепта.
Before 1918, the Austro Hungarian Empire was right nextdoor..... this is the Italian version of their neighbors recipe.
Lidia is from northern Italy.
