I had a friend that was killed about a year and a half ago now. When I found out, I was shocked and in doubt. I could barely talk about it with my family, as well as other friends who didn’t know, without breaking down in tears and having to step away to collect myself. My friends and I didn’t talk to anyone for about a week because we were all so devastated, and even when we did talk to our families or to each other, we’d basically be whispering, because we were just completely broken. Just talking, trying to get it out and move on, was a chore for my friends and I to do. So, when JayStation faked his girlfriend’s death and pretended to cry and be in grief in his videos, all so he could support his other channel, I felt so disappointed and sick. I know how it feels to lose someone incredibly important, but I don’t go out and use their deaths to clout chase. So, when I see someone using their dead family/friend, or in this case, faking all of it, all so they could gain clout, I just get extremely bummed. Even now, it’s hard to talk about and remember my dead friend, because he truly was an amazing guy, and helped me through a lot of my own problems. So just remembering him still makes me teary-eyed. To this day, I stay away from talking about him casually; the only time I bring his memory up is when my close friends and I get together to hang out, because we all knew him well and hung out with him inside/outside of school/work. So, yeah, just had to kind of vent a little after watching this, because JayStation’s little stunt was genuinely sad and embarrassing to watch. I want nothing bad to happen to him or his supporters, far from it. I just hope he knows what he did was incredibly shallow, and I hope he takes those videos down.
