    Blast from the past: I had a new 4620 with 48 backhoe and Power Reverser transmission. Used it in the woods...a beast.

    Thanks for the video. I have a 2012 4720. I've been looking for a seat cover. What Deere part # fits the 4720 cab seat?

    Do you recall where you got the seat covers? Just got a 4052R with cab and have not had any luck tracking one down :-/ (I have the suspension seat, not the air ride) Thank you!

    There is something important that you missed. The 4720 (prior to 2009) has the John Deere engine and the 4066r uses a Yamar. I will keep my 2006 4720 as I believe John Deere makes a superior engine.

    Awesome video! Just picked up a new 4066r. Question: where did you get the strobe light and steering wheel knob from? Mine never came with them.
    Thanks

      John Dealer at Minnesota Equipment Solution (Mark) got them for me and we installed the light, one of the best things I have done on these tractors

    Thank you for posting this video you did a fantastic job.
    Where did you get those top link cylinders from? I have previously owned the John Deere ones and they did not hold up very well at all you have to buy them as a top and tilt kit also. I have ran several of the cheaper ones and I am not entirely impressed with how they are holding up either. I do a lot of grading work and I think it is very hard on the cylinder seals after a bit of time they just get a lot of play in them.
    Thanks
    Jason

    What is the HP for the PTO on the 4066r?

    Are there any power differences to speak of? I have a 2012 4720R and i'm looking at a 2021 4066R. I heard some comments that the new 4 series are lacking in power compared to the old 4 series. Any thoughts?

    • @RMSpeltzFarm
      @RMSpeltzFarm  3 роки тому +1

      I like the new four series and the electric throttle very responsive. The old school is good to yes but with the cab quieter and such I cant personally see power loss

    Thanks for the timely video. I’m looking at pulling the trigger on 4066R. what options did you add? Top and tilt? It will be my first tractor so I want to ensure it’s a good one. I’ve done a ton of research but always welcome owner input.

      i ordered my 4066r with every option i could get except didnt get toolbox now wish i did,also put 3rd valve on front of loader for my grapple bucket love that add extra wide spacers on back wheels ,sure saved me rolling over couple times when had full bucket, also make sure pay for pro deere buckets as they much better built will hold up to many tractor trade ins, did also get self leving loader 440r with skidsteer added ,cant say enough about high horsepower, tight turning radius ,and love cab with air ,about 80 k with loader ,backhoe, grapple bucket ,bale spear ,and quick attach with tilt and top plus many more options i cant remember awesome machine just wish had more money for more acctacments

    Great video. How many hours do you have on the 66r? The wife and I have been looking at a 4066r but we've been told the exhaust system has issue's

    • @RMSpeltzFarm
      @RMSpeltzFarm  4 роки тому +1

      only have 10 hours on it yet and those exhaust issues were in the 2014-2018 models ass they have to deal with emissions, most of that is all resolved and these do not have DEF in them=)

    Can you tell a difference between the two HP wise?

    • @RMSpeltzFarm
      @RMSpeltzFarm  4 роки тому +1

      The engines are very different in feel, the newer is quieter but it lugs just the older and the fuel efficiency seems better on the 4066

    I have a brand new John Deere 4050to our cab tractor with the are one egg tires and I decided to not buy the loader to save some money and I paid just under 40,000 for it. I did not like the small access to the cabin filter and the fact that it got gummed up with debris from Bush hogging and also the effort I had to go to to remove the front grill to blow out the radiator on a daily basis. I even had to have the roof removed once or twice a year to have the air conditioning condenser cleaned out. I do agree that the moving of the handle to the outside is an improvement as is the addition of a second step. I do wish that the hood on the R series was a tilt up hood for easier access and quicker access instead of the top hood side panels and lift out grill. Could you comment on what it’s like to run the 4720 with that hood being a one piece left up and drop down? Does it seal out shaft getting in the radiator Upfront just as well as the newer design or does it have to be cleaned out more when Bush hogging?
