Thank you Carl. The master note project system in a folder is awesome. Apple owes you for your creativity and innovation ! I just cannot imagine how cool apple notes is going to continue to get if they just add modest updates to it periodically. Again, as I no longer trust or want to use any 3rd party apps for all the good security and reliability reasons I am now a true apple notes guy. God willing apple continues to improve notes it will be the "emerging Tesla" of PIM and to do software.
I was looking up PARA methods and I'm glad I found this channel! very helpful to people like me who want to know how it's being used by others and especially on apple notes! also, hello from Korea! haha
Thanks Carl! If I remember correctly you have a similar structure in Evernote? I don't use Evernote anymore and have tried a lot since I arrived in the Apple ecosystem. Also the often hyped "Craft" (do you know it?). The new "hype", has taken a few ideas from Apple Notes and Notion (blocks). But I find Apple Notes easier to use even if certainly a few features are missing. I miss e.g. a possibility to link notes. Especially for projects with a lot of notes this can be very helpful. Btw. the combination of Apple Notes and Apple Reminders is also very good, even on my iPhone. I planned a last project with it and it worked really well.
If you select any text in a note then right click and hit share then select reminders you will get the same result (a reminder with a note deeplink) but with only the text you have selected. Ne need to further edit it.
Hello Carl. Thank you for this video. The text coloring is only available on a mac, right? On an Ipad or iPhone, I don‘t see the option to do it. Thanks for confirming. :)
Hello Carl , Good day ! Have a question. In Apple notes, how can we "FIND & REPLACE ALL a TEXT" . The option is only available for "Find and replace text" each separately with multiple clicks. But unable to find how can i do a FIND text & REPLACE ALL in one click. Feels very time consuming when i had to replace a text at 100 different places in a document, as no "REPLACE ALL" available. Please do share your thoughts on this, how can we REPLACE ALL working with texts. Thanks !
Hi Ramesh, Notes is a notetaking app, not a word processor. I'm surprised there is even a basic feature for find and replace in Notes. I just checked Evernote to see if such a feature is there, but no. If you need that kind of feature, you would be better off using Google Docs, MS Word or Pages.
@@Carl_Pullein Hi Carl, Thanks so much for the details 🙏. Noted this. Got it now 😊. Appreciate your help always🙏. Also i got huge knowledge from your paid courses on productivity . Happy to say , my stress have reduced after following your courses . All is well organized now 😊. Have a good day ! 😊
Hello Carl I have been using apple notes with hand writing. When I go to the back up on my notebook ( windows) it’s very small and not legible how can I enlarge it? Thanks in advance
Carl, have you ever used Notion? I resisted trying it out for a while, but now I have started testing it, and though it is slightly buggy, it seems like a pretty interesting app. Just figured I would ask what your thoughts are on it.
I did, once. Took one look at it and realised it would be a huge time suck. Apps with lots of customisable options, features and templates are very dangerous for me. I can't help but fiddle.
You said that you can add an email to the note from an iPad also, but you didn’t show how. Is it possible with the Gmail app, or only with the native mail app?
Hi Leisel, It's the same principle, you drag and drop the email directly into Notes. As for whether you can do that with the Gmail app, I don't know. I don't use the Gmail app.
Hi Carl, is it possible to "import" a text editable pdf into Notes? I'm trying to figure out how to use pdf documents in Notes so I can add/annotate onto the pdf, but also add scanned extra documents to the pdf itself. Hope that makes sense?
If you mean the ability to change text inside a PDF, then no, Apple Notes cannot do that. You can copy text inside a PDF and paste it into the note, but I think that is not what you wanted to do.
Hi Carl, New subscriber here :). I'm just starting to move over to Apple notes and Apple reminders for some project management (particularly in collaboration with peeps who don't have Obsidian which I work with a lot), so your series here has been really helpful! Is it possible to link a note to a note? (ie like Obsidian). Big projects in obsidian have tons of notes that reference other notes and i find it a hugely helpful workflow. Can i do this in Apple notes? This would be a game changer! Cheers Lisa .
Hi Lisa, theoretically, you can. But it's fiddly and not consistent. I'm hoping this will be sorted out in the upcoming iOS16. But it'll be a long wait.
Just a tip, perhaps you could open your floating window on your monitor to full screen as its too small to see when watching on the iphone.

I'm sure they will continue to improve it. I'm already looking forward to June and the WWDC to see what's next.

Always happy to help, 종규 ^^
Such a good video Carl! Apple Notes is awesome these days. The integration with Reminders is a game changer.
I agree, it's certainly becoming a solid overall system.
Don’t work with different folder…work with tags in only one folder 😉 game changer 👍🏼
Yep, that can work too.
Sehr gut, Carl! Trotz bescheidener Englisch-Kenntnisse kann ich gut folgen. Dein System ist so klar, einfach und verständlich wie deine Sprache :-)
Danke Michael; Ich freue mich sehr zu hören, dass dir diese Videos gefallen.
Thanks, Carl! Great tutorial as always. You actually motivated me to switch to Apple Notes, I was just searching for a worthy Evernote alternative
You're welcome, Alex. Hope you enjoy working with Apple Notes.

I've heard of Craft, but between Evernote and Apple Notes I've got everything I need. For me, a notes app needs to be quick and simple.
If you select any text in a note then right click and hit share then select reminders you will get the same result (a reminder with a note deeplink) but with only the text you have selected. Ne need to further edit it.
Thanks for sharing that, Biagio
How we can change color on iPad?
I'm afraid that's not possible.
What did you click in Notes to add it to Reminders? It was too small for me to see.
The share sheet button on the top right. You should see Reminders there. (Although you will likely find dragging and dropping easier and faster.
Hi Carl! How do you make the hand written mind map on notes?
I used my Apple Pencil and my iPad.

While this system won't work for me right now, it's something to bear in mind when I do finally am able to get a Mac, ta!
Glad you like the system, Toran. It can be replicated in most other apps.
Awesome tips
Thanks, Svante.

Maybe a bug, but if you have an image in your notes, it doesn't make the link to your note when you have an image in your notes.
