Alright guys if anyone is having trouble in the gauntlet, there's a couple things Id point out from this guide. #1, those giant purple beetle things, you can lure it in the corridor and block and hit it 3 times if you are *very* quick. Tap attack 3 times and immediately block. I'd start off with just 2 attacks until your very good at this, you'll probably die a couple times until you get the 3 attack right and then you can reap all the extra health pots. You don't need to use any magic, do not rely on stunning even when they're turned blue because even tho the attack animation is slow, it still lands a hit even when their claws are in the air...? Lol #2, repulse doesn't really help at all. just spam the ice beam thing and start smashing enemies when they're iced. Jump away to evade. They seem to die faster when they're blue. #3, the gargoyles. BLOCK like he is doing in the video but be careful about blocking 2v2, they WILL flank you. Keep your health at near max for when they do. Keep pulling no more than 3 at a time. If your hit just 3-4 times, it's game over. Treat them like they're a golem, they will ruin your day. Spam the ice beam so one falls behind, smash the one that's closest to you while blocking. Also if you can catch them in their resting pose it's a free kill if you can smash them fast enough #4, for the big poison spiders don't rely on magic, you'll waste your pots. What you gotta do is lure one in the corridor and hit it's ass when the spider retreats. When it gets stunned or iced, keep chopping away but be careful of it's attack, it will chew through your health pots with just 1 hit. The lil spiders are inconsequential. And finally the golem, JUMP around him and hit him until he's stunned then pound away. Don't let him hit you, it'll be a near instant death ☠️💀☠️💀☠️
The purple thing's are actually beetphants. Beetle-elephant.... So cute and snuggly.... Wish we could ride one after hearing extreme..... Instead we got drizzt. If you hit the gargoyle twice while in sleep mode with the ice ball they instantly shatter.

@@Wayniechan Mine is on PS4. I found out you can press start immediately when you die as Drizzt and import your powerful end game character so I just did that to unlock extreme mode
Okay. With the PC version having just come out, there is a *MASSIVE* change in damage output for every enemy since the PS2 version two decades ago. Where here, you get hit, and the damage is negligible, almost comical. Now on PC? Take 2 hits from ONE spider and you're down to 25% health.
That must be the version they released on consoles recently which explains a lot. It was ridiculously tough at some points just on normal mode so I can not begin to imagine this on extreme mode let alone hard.
@@scatered1 Enough of a challenge already on Normal, I'd very nearly consider the PC version of this game on Extreme to be Dark Souls difficult, where even pairs of some enemies is a guaranteed death sentence. Even for a fully-kitted Dwarf Fighter in all +5 full plate, enchanted with protection and agility, and carrying twice the carry weight in health potions, it's an up-the-mountain chug fest slog through most areas.
@@OhSPY. like why? You really do have to be constantly blocking but enemies always try to find a way behind you. The balance is absolutely horrendous and you pretty much NEED 2 players I guess.
@@scatered1 I feel you. Then again, it was almost bust-assedly backwards for the Sorceress with Ball Lightning being used in damn near every high end game, even with just a few levels in it. Almost gave up as the Dwarf Fighter about halfway through Extreme when I'd make about 20 minutes of progress and constantly have to return to buy more potions. A key tactic is trying to isolate enemies on outside ground, and doorblock enemies in inside areas, *ESPECIALLY* the god-damned skeletons from the Crypt.

Also ps5 and Xbox s/x Im on my first playthrough ever and I’m addicted. They are working on da2 I hear as well. $30 is steep but here’s to hoping it makes a statement of approval for more of these projects.
I bought it on ps4 last week just beat it and am glad I gave them the 30 bucks. Just to show that theres peeps out there that want it. That want dark alliance 2. I can not wait for da 2 it was so much better.

Agreed. I'd have been happy with unlocking Extreme mode by beating Hard mode, but eh, the Gauntlet was always a gut punch.

Kite them and make sure only 1 monster hit you at the time, thats the trickl. dont let them hit you. jump run use your push back spell :)

By importing the character you won the normal playthrough.
But yes, I wish some cheat-code to finish with Drizzt, and play him in Extreme Mode.
