Got my wife this bike. She's hitting greens an blues up on the mountain no issues. She loves this hardtail. Has all the essentials for a ton of experience growth.
James the interaction with your wife is a very important lesson in consumer marketing. Some of us get mired deep into new high-tech and specifications for product. But for many it is color and luster and presentation. This can't be lost on bike manufacturers and dealers. We can't lose sight of what is appealing to a large proportion of the market segment.

James, awesome to give the wifey some air time. As someone who has been married for awhile i will suggest whatever she likes that's what you buy regarding upgrades or changes to the bike. You know the old saying happy wife means a happy life... lol..

Oh, and did you guys ever pick out a saddle? That's a complaint of my wife's as well. I had a spare WTB Volt laying around and while she found it more comfortable on the sit bone, not so much up front. So I'm looking for another option. It's a bummer that something like a saddle can be so expensive and the rider really needs extensive seat time to make a decision.
