My Build here is dedicated for Toy Factory Farming (most of the monster is neutral element), that's why I choose Ivory Lance for +25% against neutral element and the easiness to get second card slot. If we want grind at Punk (or other small size elemental monster), the most efficient way is to invest in Holy Dagger & Thief Clothes. Holy dagger doesn't have any penalty against small size monster, and it has bonus attack as well as bonus vs small size monster with its set. We will only requires converter for 1 hit Punk. Or if you have saint dagger, you just need to aim for 1 relevant card, add converter, and you can do 1 hit kill. If you manage to get saint spear (I'm not), most of the time (unless vs neutral monster/high armor monster) saint spear have better damage for shield chain. So plan your grind base on what you want the most: base exp? job exp? exchangeable material? certain rare drops? After that, study those monster, and choose your weapon wisely. 2) Shield Chain is the build that grow with us, so it doesn't need big investment at first in equipment before we can use it, IF we know how to manage it. (I'll discuss this in my next video) The multiplier of the shield chain level 10 is 200%x5 = 1000%, there's not many 2nd job non-trans skill with 1.5 CD that surpass this atk multiplier. At early game we can easily one hit dustiness in early level with this skill with only normal weapon and accessories and converter. Atk comes in many source in this game, we just need to choose the most Efficient One. For example: Cooking is very cost efficient, Prayer with Belief Token is cost efficient, Enhancing Weapon is still quite cost efficient depends on the level, enhancing high level accessories in other hand is not efficient. Start from the most cost efficient one, don't waste your zeny in wrong investment. So what is the real drawback of this skill = SP cost = more food for SP discharge = more zeny needed. 3) Shield Chain is not only High Cost, but also High Gain skill for Paladin, again IF we know how to manage it. (also will include this in my next video) The most Important Significant item for shield chain Build (IMHO) is NOT mirror shield NOR ivory shield, but >> PREMIUM

Iya bro, apalagi kalo di monster yang pas, exp gede, drop jg oke. Emang salah gw sih, punk kurang relevan buat build ini soalnya dropan nya kurang oke. Cuma pas gw hunt punk banyak yang nanya gimana caranya 1 hit pake shield chain, akhirnya gw buat videonya wkwkw. Nanti abis breakthrough series gw bakal coba bikin video soal itung2an farming.
My tanking build is not completed yet. For early tanking I use imperial guard + garman armor (or elemental armor/anything with relevant card) + don flamingo + rune shoes + slotted acc with joker card. Later I will use sacred mission + legion plate + rune boots + pauldron + staunch ring, joker card is always useful. Those are decent equips for Paladin tank, but will become great set once I become royal guard. Most of my set will be based on healing bonus & damage resistance rather than max HP & defense.
Shield chain are only good for farming or grinding at early game. While Shieldboomerang has 3 benifits, you can grind and you can tank for your party and also you can solo on mini boss..
After all the guides I've watched on youtube, I went into this expecting to be let down again. But damn, this guide is good. Clear. Concise. Informative. It's even in dual language! Lol. Keep it up man good guide.
Actually I said that because we should not use ivory spear for dedicated grind punk lol, it just a showcase and I don't want people to misunderstood. But It seems peoples still misunderstood anyway. Should have said that more clearly in the video. xD
@@peternestomarionacojido6954 SB and SC have their own advantages.. Shield Boomerang is an easy build.. With a standard equip for Paladin, you can 1 shot Punk.. I think thats why people like that build.. Not that hard to copy.. Shield Chain otherwise need a really good set of Equipment.. Very hard to copy.. And need an expensive Buffs and equip.. Need a Big Amount of SP.. Thats why I dont recommend it.. But yeah, in term of stamina's efficiency Shied Chain does better.. especially when you can 1 shot Punk like in this Video.. The after Cast Delay of Shield Boomerang (4 sec) is really slow.. If I have some zenys to spend, I think I will go for Shield Chain Build for Leveling.. :)
WOW. I was amazed on this! LV90 pally here. This is far better than my shield boomerang build in terms of grinding. I was looking for this shield chain 1 hit mobs since the beginning I reached crusader.

Sorry baru bales bro, kebetulan gw ga punya saint spear hehe. Cuma emang ampir semua monster mendingan pake saint spear daripada ivory lance, kalo dari beda damage perkiraan pribadi gw sih sekitar 300 defense threshold nya. Dari punk, orc lady, sama toy factory, ivory lance menangnya cuma di toy factory, soalnya bonus +25% damage ke neutral monster. Tapi juga bergantung sama jumlah attack. Jadi misalnya attack kita uda 4k, mungkin ivory spear bisa menang dari saint spear, tapi kalo masi di sekitaran 2k, pasti lebih oke saint spear.
Daamnnn this is by far the most helpful and insightful guide for pallys.. just a question. I am now ready investing my zenny to cards, would you recommend mandragora for punk farm or just wait for dessert wolf card for cookies?
The dessert wolf card covered both punk and cookies, but the mandragora will also cover punk and carat, with today's price I will recommend the mandragora. Dessert wolf current price is expensive and ice cube (cookie's drop) price is falling. However we need to be level 96 for carat to start to give great exp and drops. That's mean hunt in punk until 96, punk is great for exp but doesn't have decent drops.
@@bigard6715 thanks for the reply! Really appreciate it. I honestly doesnt much really care on the level thou, as I'm reallly prioritizing on zeny and EQ. I am now at 88, but seems punk's drops are really awful and lot of crap. Thats why I still occasionally hunt at green petite for Oridecon. In your opinion, what's the best hunt spot and the most profitable one for us? I know ice cube prize is falling, but is it still worth to invest on Dessert wolf or just wait in punk till 96 and start hunt carat?
Depends on your current equipment, cyfar from dark priest, brigan from ridewood, hand of god from ferus, or even 2 hit cookie is still worth it. I think desert wolf is already too expensive right now, and the ice cube current price is below 1k zenny, so I can really suggest you to buy it. I think mandragora card for 1 hit carat is far cheaper than desert wolf atm, however the frozen heart price is also falling, and if we considering cookie's tight spawn & carat wide spawn, the total profit is roughly the same at level 98.. I guess I can't give you decisive answer here...

The goibne set is quite good, and getting better when it comes in set. You can easily reach 100k HP+ with full vit build and these set. I personally prefer rune boots (+30% heal amount) & staunch cape (- neutral damage received) for tanking, rune boots also gives you +3% attack & +10% movement speed so it's also quite good for grinding. The cheaper alternative will be rune shoes (can be upgrade to rune boots) and don flamingo cap.
Yup unfortunately I don't have one, holy dagger set is other alternative. I use ivory spear because at that time this build is originally to 1 hit cookies.
Attack gw kosongan (non buff non makan non apapun) di lv 81 dg rune baru bisa ambil 1 shield chain, auto attack 1, dan cavaleri 1, kosongan ke netral damage (dummy wood di prontera) 13k, trus coba pake buff magnum jadi 15k, kira2 menurut lu itu kecil ya bro,?
great guide... still prefer Shield boom to strip down cost of all buffs... 2 slot ivory + cards + converter i think alot cheaper than going for all those food buffs every stamina reset. i'll do this for PVP for fast pvp point gains.
Ah thanks for mentioning that, I want to implying that in this video, but the desert wolf price is quite high at the moment. I think 6x hydra + 1 card + converter + str meal A is enough to 1 hit punk.

I plan to make guide about zeny and priority guide about this build, for the next/2 video after this. There will be more detail on it, but for now: My first zeny priority is not equipment but premium, the main reason is unlimited lightning chain and extra drops. I know it's easier for me because of iron and steel still quite expensive back then, I managed to get my premium in 8th day. 2nd priority is cooking & taste, until at least level 8 in both. The main reason is extra atk for one hit, but this is also how I managed to tank evenly or even better at the early game with full vit pally, because extra 240 def, 240 m.def and 3600 hp from the food. We can also cook for your teammates, it's gives the whole party great buff. Movement speed buff, depend on the monster you grind can makes the grind faster, also help to get first hit ini miniboss and catch up with mini when other character try to reset it. For static monster grind we can use the decrease cast delay food instead the movement speed. 3rd is decent spear & accessories + tights. I'm luckily get saint ring from my free gacha & clip from rift, as the spear I am only use lance until 82. 4th is between hunting card (for me its desert wolf card) & advance enchantment.
Thanks man, I'll use shield boomerang combo & shield chain combo in my end-game PvE, but my shield boomerang will be based on Atk & VIT rather than only VIT (after job breakthrough 40+, shield boomerang damage will also based on Atk rather than only stat & refine), but I will need to level my job to at least 55 first, 65 will be better. The shield chain is basically 1000% atk (1250% if level 20) x modifier (mirror shield, rune, size, element, race, etc), so it really depends on our base atk, and how many modifier we have.

Nice guide dude, just asking i started the game and finally got money for a cardo cuz of vit and shield boomerang as a paladin, im lvl 60 crusader atm and i thought it might be the better Weapon. But i saw u using an ivory lance is it better? And how do i get the mirror shield, it costs 2m+ and i don get this money. And i use an iron Armor isn that better cuz of the +20 atk?
Actually it's depend on your build purpose, Ivory lance is excel against high armor monster/neutral monster. My build is dedicated for toy factory grinding (neutral element), so I choose the Ivory Lance. However the best weapon for shield chain against elemental small monster (including punk) is holy dagger. If you want pure VIT shield boomerang build, Cardo is better. Mirror shield can be crafted in Glast Heim: ua-cam.com/video/xrJwByzB9oc/v-deo.html You can farm all the material, maybe the hard one is crystal mirror, you can buy it from exchange for around 300k each. Armor is also depends on your build purpose, tights III is +8% attack, so if your attack is 1000, it would be +80atk. As for me in this video, my attack before tights is around 1500, so the tights give me about +120 atk.

I rarely do mini/MVP unless I need the material, currently I solo farm Osiris/Anubis for Bloody Rune, Mutant Dragon for Scale, and Owl Duke for Cyrstall Mirror

Hard to tell, for solo honor point farm I prefer shield chain, you can see it in my other video. It faster and easier in to solo both in yoyo or emperium arena. However after breakthrough shield boom will also affect by attack, about half of the shield chain, so personally I will use shield boom and shield chain in combo. (need job level ~60 tho)
Of course, only a minor downside: cavalry mastery doesn't have bonus vs medium size, & I think even after cards it will require 2 hit considering how high anolian HP is
Then I believe this build is one of the fastest way to get the potrait as paladin, I already unlock my cookie potrait (89k HP, neutral element) after around 4 days grind (I only grind under 360 stamina)
Depends on the mobs, but lightning chain is crucial in this build. My build is dedicated for toy factory grinding (neutral element) so I choose the Ivory Lance. However the best weapon for shield chain against elemental small monster (including punk) is holy dagger, with holy dagger + thief clothes you will only need 3 star food & converter. (total cost for 360 stamina around 100k without lightning chain, 50k with lightning chain). SP food cost is around 150k zeny with lightning chain, 300k zeny without lightning chain) With 360 stamina raw zeny drop from punk is around 250k-300k zeny, so it's only profitable with lightning chain. This build is concept is high cost high gain, so it's shine when the mobs you grind drops exchangeable item. Because fast kill = more item drops. In my current grinding spot, 1 hit cookie in toy factory (full buff) gain me 260k raw zeny, plus almost 1000 ice cube (currently 1100 zeny each) don't need to use converter because the mobs is neutral element. So it's still super profitable even with full STR meal B or even without lightning chain. Mobs with drops like brigan, cyfar, and hand of god is still quite profitable to hunt with this build, even with 2 hit kill.

Thanks man, usually full vit pally use 1 shield boomerang + 2 shield chain combo = 2 monster kill, not as efficient as 3 shield chain = 3 monster kill in term of stamina & SP, but still viable and keep you in your tanky build.
That's from the trans rune, if I'am not mistaken we can get it from the valkyrie orloum 2nd quest after changed to paladin (same valkyrie that give us the monument).
Does ignore def items / food affects shield chain damage? I have a bash LK and my items are both attack and ignore def.. Can you give me some advice since I'm planning to multi job crusader coming from a bash knight? Thanks!
Yes ignore defense affect shield chain damage, against armored opponent of course. Any item that give you Atk is good for shield chain build. The specific shield chain gear in this guide is only mirror shield, you can craft it in Glash Heim. I think you should plan what monster you want to grind depends on what you want to gain, base exp? job exp? lots of normal material drops? or certain rare item drops. And then buy the proper weapon to deal with them. My Ivory spear is for dedicated normal material grind in Toy Factory, so it's strong against neutral element. But if you want to grind small elemental monster (like punk) you should aim for holy dagger instead (no penalty against small size, and +15% damage to small set). If you want to grind elemental large monster I think the best would be saint spear if you managed to get that.
@@bigard6715 thanks for your response! Can I combo a Bash with Shield Chain skill since i'm a bash LK and I have bash runes and Nagan a weapon with bongun card deposite. Can I do both bash and SC for starting while I farm for SC weapon like Holy Dagger? Then I lean towards being a pure SC paladin, is that ok?
Bash is SP efficient and faster cast delay than SC, in some case it even better than SC in term of damage and profit, so yes it's very viable. Maybe If there's a hunting spot with fixed & fast spawn (sting is the only place I can think right now), you can just do bash for leveling instead of SC since you already have those item. But in certain place like toy factory, where the monster is fast spawn but not in fixed place and also has a lot of obstacle, shield chain range is better option.

kalo buat serbaguna biasanya peco-peco, kalo PvP antara thara frog buat ngurang damage sama argiope buat ngelawan poison, cuma argiope butuh 2 buat dideposit 1, dipake 1
When you reach level job 40 as pally, you'll received quest for the job breakthrough to maximum level 70, the maximum level of some skills also increased. Shield boomerang originally maxed at level 5, after breakthrough it can be increased up to level 15.

Kalo gw ini kan buat grinding cari zeny di Toy Factory, jadi pake Ivory Spear (+25% vs neutral). Cuma kalo emang pingin 1 hit monster Small elemental (bisa pake converter), benernya mending pake holy dagger + thief clothes. Soalnya kan ga ada penalty dagger lawan small, jadi bisa hemat buff, paling converter aja. Rune cukup yang 10% damage aja. Kalo zeny saran gw coba grinding di tempat2 yang dropnya oke bro, kayak cyfar (dark priest), hand of god (ferus), brigan dll. Soalnya kelebihannya shield chain kan banyak kill dalam waktu singkat. Tapi begitu cooking mentok kerasa bgt bro, +240 atk buat grinding, mau jd tank tinggal makan yang +240 def,mdef sama +3600 HP. Mau lari cepet2an rebutan miniboss pake yang nambah movement speed, PvP pake yang nambah vs player, MVP pake yang nambah vs boss, char ke 2 sama ke 3 levelingnya cepet bgt, anggota party jg bisa gw kasi food yg oke biar cepet MVPan nya dll. Enaknya kita bisa farm bahan masak pas stamina merah jd ga tumpang tindih sama hunt. Tiap ada duit lebih gw dagang kecil2 aja bro, beli flower ring pas masing 280k 3 biji, pas 800k gw jual, brigan jg gitu, terus cyfar jg. Terus gw baru ke enchant kucing mumpung pas itu bahan2nya masi murah. Baru gw beli card S soalnya mumpung masi murah jg bisa buat dipake, dijual lg jg untung lumayan. Jadi itu kenapa gw bilang diawal ini bukan guide dan keadaan pasar itu ngaruh bgt, kita emang harus open minded ngeliat pasar dan peluang, emang kadang2 ga bisa nyontek gitu alur leveling/grindingnya. Depends on your level, anything value above 800 zeny, above 10% drop rate, from monster that you can at least 2 hit kill, is where shield chain build start to shine, especially if you use lightning chain. Cyfar from dark priest, Hand of God from ferus, Brigan from hunterfly, etc. Currently I am doing 2 hit myst case for 1.7-2 million loot a day. Or if I need more exp I'll do 1 hit cookie, and still get 1-1.2 million zeny daily.
This soo much more expensive than a simple 1 hit shield boom build as you cant always have the support of a 5star food (rarity of its ingredients) + cost of dish compared to a shield boom 1 hit without the help of food buff
True, This is high cost high gain build, so it's not only about 1 hit, but also how many kill per stamina used. More kill not only equal to (obviously) more exp, but also more item drops = more zeny. So depends on the farming spot (don't farm in punk if you aim for drops), it could be far more profitable than shield boom. My build is dedicated for Toy Factory grind (Ivory spear strong vs neutral element) so it need a lot of buff, if you really want to grind punk (or other small size elemental monster) with only converter you can change the Ivory spear & tights with holy dagger & thief clothes. I tried saint spear and ivory lance +4. Turns out my damage is 2k more on saint spear. I'm level 80 grinding at dark priest but it takes 4 hits to die. I'm having a hard time what to do. Where did you grind when you were level 80?
In most case saint spear is better than ivory. My build is for Toy Factory grinding (neutral element). Dark priest is undead element so it weak against Fire Damage. You can use flame heart (2x damage) every 15 minutes or magnum break (2.2x damage) every 10 sec. At level 80 I 1 hit cookie with full buff (8:15), not recommend for current situation as the ice cube price is only 1k. But it still good place to grind if you can at least 2 hits it with only basic buff (food & STR meal A). Alternatively you can grind ferus (also weak against fire damage) for hand of god.

If your targeted monster is large, then it's better to take cavalry mastery, or small monster and you want to invest in vs small rune, you should also take the mastery. Dark priest is medium so cavalry mastery don't really have any advantage against it. You can level up your retribution if you plan to grind in dark priest, since retri will increase damage to undead by 10% on top the 50 atk bonus.
Yup, sure! as I mention in the beginning of the video this is not guide, so you don't have to copy them, I just want to show the mechanics. However if u still don't have Ymir book (like me at that time), VIT is better for PVP and MVP.

Ato alternatif murahnya ya imperial guard + garman armor (bos kan kebanyakan large monster ya) buat damage resistance nya. Kalo emang mau maen INT jg sekalian ambil heal + pauldron, biar endure terus & bisa ngeheal diri sendiri jg bantuin priest. Selain itu pake Joker Card di acc yang slot, biar bisa jadiin bisa stone curse anak2nya MVP.

Originally this 1 hit video is for the Fellow Shield Chainer, but since many people want to switch build, there's something that I want to CLARIFY here:
1) Punk is just a Showcase.
My Build here is dedicated for Toy Factory Farming (most of the monster is neutral element), that's why I choose Ivory Lance for +25% against neutral element and the easiness to get second card slot. If we want grind at Punk (or other small size elemental monster), the most efficient way is to invest in Holy Dagger & Thief Clothes. Holy dagger doesn't have any penalty against small size monster, and it has bonus attack as well as bonus vs small size monster with its set. We will only requires converter for 1 hit Punk. Or if you have saint dagger, you just need to aim for 1 relevant card, add converter, and you can do 1 hit kill.
If you manage to get saint spear (I'm not), most of the time (unless vs neutral monster/high armor monster) saint spear have better damage for shield chain.
So plan your grind base on what you want the most: base exp? job exp? exchangeable material? certain rare drops?
After that, study those monster, and choose your weapon wisely.
2) Shield Chain is the build that grow with us, so it doesn't need big investment at first in equipment before we can use it, IF we know how to manage it. (I'll discuss this in my next video)
The multiplier of the shield chain level 10 is 200%x5 = 1000%, there's not many 2nd job non-trans skill with 1.5 CD that surpass this atk multiplier. At early game we can easily one hit dustiness in early level with this skill with only normal weapon and accessories and converter.
Atk comes in many source in this game, we just need to choose the most Efficient One.
For example: Cooking is very cost efficient, Prayer with Belief Token is cost efficient, Enhancing Weapon is still quite cost efficient depends on the level, enhancing high level accessories in other hand is not efficient. Start from the most cost efficient one, don't waste your zeny in wrong investment.
So what is the real drawback of this skill = SP cost = more food for SP discharge = more zeny needed.
3) Shield Chain is not only High Cost, but also High Gain skill for Paladin, again IF we know how to manage it. (also will include this in my next video)
The most Important Significant item for shield chain Build (IMHO) is NOT mirror shield NOR ivory shield, but >> PREMIUM

I hope you would be willing to show us your Tank Build :) I'm a tank and I have a difficulty in tanking.
My tanking build is not completed yet.
For early tanking I use imperial guard + garman armor (or elemental armor/anything with relevant card) + don flamingo + rune shoes + slotted acc with joker card.
Later I will use sacred mission + legion plate + rune boots + pauldron + staunch ring, joker card is always useful. Those are decent equips for Paladin tank, but will become great set once I become royal guard.
Most of my set will be based on healing bonus & damage resistance rather than max HP & defense.
Shield chain are only good for farming or grinding at early game. While Shieldboomerang has 3 benifits, you can grind and you can tank for your party and also you can solo on mini boss..
After all the guides I've watched on youtube, I went into this expecting to be let down again. But damn, this guide is good.

With a standard equip for Paladin, you can 1 shot Punk..
I think thats why people like that build.. Not that hard to copy..
Shield Chain otherwise need a really good set of Equipment..
Very hard to copy.. And need an expensive Buffs and equip..
Need a Big Amount of SP..
Thats why I dont recommend it..
But yeah, in term of stamina's efficiency Shied Chain does better..

The after Cast Delay of Shield Boomerang (4 sec) is really slow..

Cuma emang ampir semua monster mendingan pake saint spear daripada ivory lance, kalo dari beda damage perkiraan pribadi gw sih sekitar 300 defense threshold nya.
Dari punk, orc lady, sama toy factory, ivory lance menangnya cuma di toy factory, soalnya bonus +25% damage ke neutral monster.
Tapi juga bergantung sama jumlah attack. Jadi misalnya attack kita uda 4k, mungkin ivory spear bisa menang dari saint spear, tapi kalo masi di sekitaran 2k, pasti lebih oke saint spear.

The dessert wolf card covered both punk and cookies, but the mandragora will also cover punk and carat, with today's price I will recommend the mandragora. Dessert wolf current price is expensive and ice cube (cookie's drop) price is falling. However we need to be level 96 for carat to start to give great exp and drops. That's mean hunt in punk until 96, punk is great for exp but doesn't have decent drops.

I am now at 88, but seems punk's drops are really awful and lot of crap. Thats why I still occasionally hunt at green petite for Oridecon. I know ice cube prize is falling, but is it still worth to invest on Dessert wolf or just wait in punk till 96 and start hunt carat?
Depends on your current equipment, cyfar from dark priest, brigan from ridewood, hand of god from ferus, or even 2 hit cookie is still worth it. I think desert wolf is already too expensive right now, and the ice cube current price is below 1k zenny, so I can really suggest you to buy it. I think mandragora card for 1 hit carat is far cheaper than desert wolf atm, however the frozen heart price is also falling, and if we considering cookie's tight spawn & carat wide spawn, the total profit is roughly the same at level 98..

The goibne set is quite good, and getting better when it comes in set. You can easily reach 100k HP+ with full vit build and these set.
I personally prefer rune boots (+30% heal amount) & staunch cape (- neutral damage received) for tanking, rune boots also gives you +3% attack & +10% movement speed so it's also quite good for grinding. The cheaper alternative will be rune shoes (can be upgrade to rune boots) and don flamingo cap.
I might suggest using Saint's dagger if you have a spare one. It will do 100% to small monsters, and it also has +10% base exp bonus.
Yup unfortunately I don't have one, holy dagger set is other alternative.
I use ivory spear because at that time this build is originally to 1 hit cookies.

great guide... still prefer Shield boom to strip down cost of all buffs... 2 slot ivory + cards + converter i think alot cheaper than going for all those food buffs every stamina reset. i'll do this for PVP for fast pvp point gains.
Ah thanks for mentioning that, I want to implying that in this video, but the desert wolf price is quite high at the moment. I think 6x hydra + 1 card + converter + str meal A is enough to 1 hit punk.

Thanks a lot for this detailed guide. Would you mind making a video about basic equipments for beginners? I am still stuggling since I joined this game a few days ago and didnt have access to pre-registration saint gear lmao.
I plan to make guide about zeny and priority guide about this build, for the next/2 video after this. There will be more detail on it, but for now:
My first zeny priority is not equipment but premium, the main reason is unlimited lightning chain and extra drops. I know it's easier for me because of iron and steel still quite expensive back then, I managed to get my premium in 8th day.
2nd priority is cooking & taste, until at least level 8 in both. The main reason is extra atk for one hit, but this is also how I managed to tank evenly or even better at the early game with full vit pally, because extra 240 def, 240 m.def and 3600 hp from the food. We can also cook for your teammates, it's gives the whole party great buff.
Movement speed buff, depend on the monster you grind can makes the grind faster, also help to get first hit ini miniboss and catch up with mini when other character try to reset it.
For static monster grind we can use the decrease cast delay food instead the movement speed.
3rd is decent spear & accessories + tights. I'm luckily get saint ring from my free gacha & clip from rift, as the spear I am only use lance until 82.
4th is between hunting card (for me its desert wolf card) & advance enchantment.

Thanks man, I'll use shield boomerang combo & shield chain combo in my end-game PvE, but my shield boomerang will be based on Atk & VIT rather than only VIT (after job breakthrough 40+, shield boomerang damage will also based on Atk rather than only stat & refine), but I will need to level my job to at least 55 first, 65 will be better. I hope I can reach job 55 by next week.

The shield chain is basically 1000% atk (1250% if level 20) x modifier (mirror shield, rune, size, element, race, etc), so it really depends on our base atk, and how many modifier we have.

Nice guide dude, just asking i started the game and finally got money for a cardo cuz of vit and shield boomerang as a paladin, im lvl 60 crusader atm and i thought it might be the better Weapon. But i saw u using an ivory lance is it better? And how do i get the mirror shield, it costs 2m+ and i don get this money. And i use an iron Armor isn that better cuz of the +20 atk?
Actually it's depend on your build purpose, Ivory lance is excel against high armor monster/neutral monster. My build is dedicated for toy factory grinding (neutral element), so I choose the Ivory Lance. However the best weapon for shield chain against elemental small monster (including punk) is holy dagger.
If you want pure VIT shield boomerang build, Cardo is better.

You can farm all the material, maybe the hard one is crystal mirror, you can buy it from exchange for around 300k each.
Armor is also depends on your build purpose, tights III is +8% attack, so if your attack is 1000, it would be +80atk.
As for me in this video, my attack before tights is around 1500, so the tights give me about +120 atk.

For pvp which one is better, shield boomerang or shield chain?
Hard to tell, for solo honor point farm I prefer shield chain, you can see it in my other video. It faster and easier in to solo both in yoyo or emperium arena.
However after breakthrough shield boom will also affect by attack, about half of the shield chain, so personally I will use shield boom and shield chain in combo. (need job level ~60 tho)

Depends on the mobs, but lightning chain is crucial in this build.
My build is dedicated for toy factory grinding (neutral element) so I choose the Ivory Lance. However the best weapon for shield chain against elemental small monster (including punk) is holy dagger, with holy dagger + thief clothes you will only need 3 star food & converter. (total cost for 360 stamina around 100k without lightning chain, 50k with lightning chain). SP food cost is around 150k zeny with lightning chain, 300k zeny without lightning chain)
With 360 stamina raw zeny drop from punk is around 250k-300k zeny, so it's only profitable with lightning chain.
This build is concept is high cost high gain, so it's shine when the mobs you grind drops exchangeable item. Because fast kill = more item drops.
In my current grinding spot, 1 hit cookie in toy factory (full buff) gain me 260k raw zeny, plus almost 1000 ice cube (currently 1100 zeny each) don't need to use converter because the mobs is neutral element. So it's still super profitable even with full STR meal B or even without lightning chain.
Mobs with drops like brigan, cyfar, and hand of god is still quite profitable to hunt with this build, even with 2 hit kill.

Thanks man, usually full vit pally use 1 shield boomerang + 2 shield chain combo = 2 monster kill, not as efficient as 3 shield chain = 3 monster kill in term of stamina & SP, but still viable and keep you in your tanky build.

That's from the trans rune, if I'am not mistaken we can get it from the valkyrie orloum 2nd quest after changed to paladin (same valkyrie that give us the monument).

Yes ignore defense affect shield chain damage, against armored opponent of course.
Any item that give you Atk is good for shield chain build.
The specific shield chain gear in this guide is only mirror shield, you can craft it in Glash Heim.
I think you should plan what monster you want to grind depends on what you want to gain, base exp? job exp? lots of normal material drops? or certain rare item drops.
And then buy the proper weapon to deal with them.
My Ivory spear is for dedicated normal material grind in Toy Factory, so it's strong against neutral element.
But if you want to grind small elemental monster (like punk) you should aim for holy dagger instead (no penalty against small size, and +15% damage to small set).
If you want to grind elemental large monster I think the best would be saint spear if you managed to get that.
@@bigard6715 thanks for your response! Can I combo a Bash with Shield Chain skill since i'm a bash LK and I have bash runes and Nagan a weapon with bongun card deposite. Can I do both bash and SC for starting while I farm for SC weapon like Holy Dagger? Then I lean towards being a pure SC paladin, is that ok?
Bash is SP efficient and faster cast delay than SC, in some case it even better than SC in term of damage and profit, so yes it's very viable.
Maybe If there's a hunting spot with fixed & fast spawn (sting is the only place I can think right now), you can just do bash for leveling instead of SC since you already have those item.
But in certain place like toy factory, where the monster is fast spawn but not in fixed place and also has a lot of obstacle, shield chain range is better option.

Every class has it's own advantages and disadvantages, so its really depend on your build & playing purpose.

before breakthrough (level job 40+) no it's not, but after breakthrough it is, the additional damage is up to +600% atk at level 15 shield boom

When you reach level job 40 as pally, you'll received quest for the job breakthrough to maximum level 70, the maximum level of some skills also increased. Shield boomerang originally maxed at level 5, after breakthrough it can be increased up to level 15.

Gw pas yang di Video pertama jg masi 1200-1300an atknya, pas di video ini 1600-1700, sekarang uda ampir 2rb.
Benernya tergantung target buildnya bro. Kalo gw ini kan buat grinding cari zeny di Toy Factory, jadi pake Ivory Spear (+25% vs neutral). Cuma kalo emang pingin 1 hit monster Small elemental (bisa pake converter), benernya mending pake holy dagger + thief clothes. Soalnya kan ga ada penalty dagger lawan small, jadi bisa hemat buff, paling converter aja. Rune cukup yang 10% damage aja.
Kalo zeny saran gw coba grinding di tempat2 yang dropnya oke bro, kayak cyfar (dark priest), hand of god (ferus), brigan dll. Soalnya kelebihannya shield chain kan banyak kill dalam waktu singkat. Jadi banyak dropnya jg.

Sekarang jg murah itu crystal mirror plg modal 600k uda jadi mirror shield.

Karena gw tau gw butuh premium biar bisa lightning chain ga terbatas sama dropnya nambah, gw 8 hari pertama ga beli apa2, sampe kebeli premium 1.9jt zeny. Ini bagi gw item paling 'mahal' soalnya dari awal ga punya apa2 harus beli 1.9jt zeny.
Abis itu gw fokus naekin cooking sampe level mentok, spear pake yg murah itu craft di morroc yg benernya buat holy cross.
Tapi begitu cooking mentok kerasa bgt bro, +240 atk buat grinding, mau jd tank tinggal makan yang +240 def,mdef sama +3600 HP. Mau lari cepet2an rebutan miniboss pake yang nambah movement speed, PvP pake yang nambah vs player, MVP pake yang nambah vs boss, char ke 2 sama ke 3 levelingnya cepet bgt, anggota party jg bisa gw kasi food yg oke biar cepet MVPan nya dll. Enaknya kita bisa farm bahan masak pas stamina merah jd ga tumpang tindih sama hunt.
Tiap ada duit lebih gw dagang kecil2 aja bro, beli flower ring pas masing 280k 3 biji, pas 800k gw jual, brigan jg gitu, terus cyfar jg.
Terus gw baru ke enchant kucing mumpung pas itu bahan2nya masi murah. Baru gw beli card S soalnya mumpung masi murah jg bisa buat dipake, dijual lg jg untung lumayan.
Jadi itu kenapa gw bilang diawal ini bukan guide dan keadaan pasar itu ngaruh bgt, kita emang harus open minded ngeliat pasar dan peluang, emang kadang2 ga bisa nyontek gitu alur leveling/grindingnya.
Tapi justru itu menurut gw asiknya maen game ini bro, kadang2 ada sisi analisa maupun kreatifnya juga.

Depends on your level, anything value above 800 zeny, above 10% drop rate, from monster that you can at least 2 hit kill, is where shield chain build start to shine, especially if you use lightning chain. Cyfar from dark priest, Hand of God from ferus, Brigan from hunterfly, etc.
Currently I am doing 2 hit myst case for 1.7-2 million loot a day. Or if I need more exp I'll do 1 hit cookie, and still get 1-1.2 million zeny daily.

This soo much more expensive than a simple 1 hit shield boom build as you cant always have the support of a 5star food (rarity of its ingredients) + cost of dish compared to a shield boom 1 hit without the help of food buff

This is high cost high gain build, so it's not only about 1 hit, but also how many kill per stamina used.
More kill not only equal to (obviously) more exp, but also more item drops = more zeny.
So depends on the farming spot (don't farm in punk if you aim for drops), it could be far more profitable than shield boom.
My build is dedicated for Toy Factory grind (Ivory spear strong vs neutral element) so it need a lot of buff, if you really want to grind punk (or other small size elemental monster) with only converter you can change the Ivory spear & tights with holy dagger & thief clothes. Holy dagger don't have any penalty against small size monster and the set give you bonus damage against small size.

I tried saint spear and ivory lance +4. Turns out my damage is 2k more on saint spear. I'm level 80 grinding at dark priest but it takes 4 hits to die.
I'm having a hard time what to do. Where did you grind when you were level 80?
In most case saint spear is better than ivory. My build is for Toy Factory grinding (neutral element).
Dark priest is undead element so it weak against Fire Damage. You can use flame heart (2x damage) every 15 minutes or magnum break (2.2x damage) every 10 sec.
At level 80 I 1 hit cookie with full buff (8:15), not recommend for current situation as the ice cube price is only 1k. But it still good place to grind if you can at least 2 hits it with only basic buff (food & STR meal A).
Alternatively you can grind ferus (also weak against fire damage) for hand of god.

If your targeted monster is large, then it's better to take cavalry mastery, or small monster and you want to invest in vs small rune, you should also take the mastery.
Dark priest is medium so cavalry mastery don't really have any advantage against it.
You can level up your retribution if you plan to grind in dark priest, since retri will increase damage to undead by 10% on top the 50 atk bonus.

Yup, sure! as I mention in the beginning of the video this is not guide, so you don't have to copy them, I just want to show the mechanics.
However if u still don't have Ymir book (like me at that time), VIT is better for PVP and MVP.

Tank build gw basicnya lebih ke bonus healing sama resistance/damage reduction sih daripada VIT, max HP, sama Defense.

sorry baru bales bro, kalo full tank biasanya VIT+INT, cuma levelingnya bakal suram bgt, kecuali ada Ymir book ya.
Kalo equip tank gw pribadi lebih suka bonus heal kayak sacred mission + legion plate armor (tp malah) + staunch ring, sama damage resist dari card. Ato alternatif murahnya ya imperial guard + garman armor (bos kan kebanyakan large monster ya) buat damage resistance nya.
Kalo emang mau maen INT jg sekalian ambil heal + pauldron, biar endure terus & bisa ngeheal diri sendiri jg bantuin priest.
Selain itu pake Joker Card di acc yang slot, biar bisa jadiin bisa stone curse anak2nya MVP.
