Nowadays every airline and airport in Europe is facing a hard time because there is no personal and in a lot of countries people are striking. Second thing, most of the low cost airlines in Europe are not giving complimentary food or drinks. And finding the aircraft messy sometimes is because we have a 25 min turnaround, which means we need to disembark everyone, secure the cabin, board the next pax and leave in that time. I just flew Swiss Air Los Angeles to Zurich and while you get fairly nice food and quite a lot of it, including alcohol (I drank 6 minibottles of red wine myself), they were selling everything from luxury watches to wines to cartons of cigarettes to perfume. It wasn't annoying, they announced to check your catalog at every seat and apparently they even have the stuff on board as I thought it was to be shipped to your house, but no, cash and carry.

Luckily i've never had an issue flying with Ryanair, it got me where i needed to be! And yes, the AC works but you need to turn that thing fully open and it can be tricky sometimes...😅
As a frequent ryanair flyer (not major frequent but probably about 15 times) - Pilots are majorly underrated - Flights have an extremely quick turnaround so will sometimes be messy (This also means if you’re getting an evening flight it will almost always be delayed as the rest of the day has to go completely smoothly in order for that flight to be on time) - You need to pay for priority pass in order to take an overhead bag but if you look at buying a specific seat some seats automatically come with overhead space and they are usually cheaper than buying the overhead itself. Ontop of that you can still bring a backpack with you without having a priority pass which goes under your seat. Overall ryanair I think is very underrated, as it is absolutely amazing for being a budget airline. I wanted to spend a couple months travelling so I just took a backpack with me and got on the cheapest flight which was like £12 and cause I was backpacking no extra bag charges. You can’t ask for more than that tbh
It's a badass airline . If you live in Europe , travel in-between major cities for €50 to €120 return with 10kg carry on luggage . I have toured Europe for 7 years on Ryanair . It's like getting on a basic metro bus , no frills . But 90% of their flights are way under 3 hours .
It is bad we were about 3 minutes late to the gate due to security queues but the gate staff refused us on it would if been quicker for us to run onto the plain then it would of been to go through the hundreds of bags to find ours. We wasnt allowed on as soon they said no we went straight to calling ryanair but guess what? There call center wasnt open so were like f### them and we try the insurance company booked via ryan air guess what? There call center isnt open we wait at the airport till the calll center opened we get on to Ryanair and they say to us we were to late we needed to call them 5 minutes before we missed the flight how could we do that when We were sprinting to the gate trying to get on the plane then we say but you werent even open they refused to do anything dito for the insurance we booked via ryanair they never gave us our money back and we booked with wizzair the next day f### them i was kinda peed cuz the ryanair was 2 way so we had them on the way back but the flight back was ok! Rip if you read this whole thing
@@Kinetic_kombat sorry to hear that , I have had 25 plus ryanair flights in the past 10 years . Only problem was a Munich memmigen To Stansted ( 2 hours delay ) €9 with luggage though ! 😳
I’m honestly shocked at the level of insolence people have against this airline, people expect your legacy carrier economy seat for dirt cheap. Yet they are surprised and complain when they find out you get what you pay for. Sure there are some things Ryanair could improve on and mistakes are bound to happen, actually all airlines can seriously improve their service. But Ryanair is no different than any other budget airline, there’s a reason it’s still in business. And it’s because people with brains who actually accept it and fly it know your getting a better deal out of a few hours flight time over an emirates first class seat just because people are too arrogant to sit with the bare minimum. The audacity
@@nivkys not even that, it’s multiple factors, relatively new pilots being hired (lack of experience), saves money having a hard landing since you use less runway (less fuel spent taxiing), sometimes weather conditions and as you stated, runway performance limitations
I believe Americans, due to their customer service, business class etc... I think they're a bit more used to the others. I was gonna say spoiled but I thought it would be offensive.
It's really good because it's never delayed for over an hour but usually a 5 to 30 minute delay. I went to Spain and left about 3 days ago and it was actually good. It had good customer service. Sold hot food, drinks, alcohol and pringles. They do have pretty hard landings though!
I had very few problems flying Ryanair over the last few years. A few things. I often use the website to book flights and then use the app. Make sure you do not buy all the extras. In Eindhoven where I live Priority boarding means standing outside in the rain a bit earlier. I never travel with checked luggage. Just a small bag I take for free. The hard landings are so-called affirmative landings. It feels hard, but it is the safest way to do it. I got some fantastic deals: Eindhoven to Faro, Portugal for 5 Euro. Back from Lisbon to Eindhoven for under 13 Euro. Both are 3-hour flights. Ryanair only uses Boeing 737-800 aircraft and has a very good safety record. Don't expect much and you will not be disappointed.
This guy makes Ryanair seem way worse than it really is I've flown on Ryanair 1-2 times per year since 2008 and I've always had a great and positive experience with them every time. Flights are reasonably priced, legroom is alright and the flight experiance is generally good and they got me from A to B which is the most important thing
I fly also frequently with Ryan air. Leg room is the worst thing on the flight, i usually go for the emergency exit seats, with extra leg room, for the rest, everything is ok
I've flown with them a few times which were fine but once they cancelled the flight when we had literally boarded the plane because of "crew rest" and they only compensated for 1 hotel night when their next flight left in 4 days... terrible customer service, probably the worst out of 20+ airlines I've flown and the ticket was really expensive too 300 euros for booking 2 months ahead
tbh it's a little strange because most people say that Ryanair have hard landings but for me it's quite the opposite, I've flown them much more than any other airline which is like over 20 times and nearly everytime I barely felt the landing it was that smooth, might just be a coincidence but other airlines I've had harder landings, a little weird tbh
Never had any issues with Ryanair used to fly from Glasgow to Dublin every couple of months and never had any issues. Did fly from to Las Palmas and that was a bit rough. But definitely not the worst airline.
I feel like you don’t really have any experience with low-cost European airlines… most of those things are pretty average for this kind of flights: a lot of airlines don’t give you free meals and sell your things on the plane (in fact I think almost every flight I’ve been on had those things), delays are very common (also a lot of times it’s not the company’s fault), and charging you for luggage is also very common… other then the website problems, it all seems pretty normal to be honest.
You ever heard of Air Asia? or Lion Air where you are praying you make it in one piece, Ryan Air is basically Megabus in the Air, No frills charge for everything they can including printing a ticket
Once my family and me had booked a flight with Ryanair. We went to the airport and we discovered that the flight was delayed for 2 hours. We patiently waited, but then we found out the flight was delayed another 6 HOURS. After waiting all that time and feeling like Tom Hanks in the terminal movie, to add insult to injury, the flight was delayed another hour. During all this time, we also found out that we couldn't have any food vouchers because we booked of a 3rd party website instead of Ryanair's official website. Altogether, we were stuck at London Stansted airport, for about 9 hours. Our flight was meant to be at 3pm but we ended up flying at around 12:20am, Also, the cabin was disgusting, and they didn't offer any free food or drink onboard, after we had literally seen dozens of flights leave. Moral of the story, maybe pay a little bit more, for a better experience with another airline.
You want delays, you dont want to fly in a broken plane! Delay as much as needed to ensure a smooth and safe flight, this is what matters to people! And no, people would not pay more to fly with air france or another airline that cannot show clean safety record and choose to fly with the cheaper ryanair instead that has a perfect safety record, not a single deadly crash. Air france after the 2009 titanic of the skies lost trust in their customers and saw decrease of passangers for obvious reasons
@@dreamthedream8929 Although Air France has had a few crashes, it was founded earlier than Ryanair. Air France was founded in 1933 compared to Ryanair which founded in 1984. And my comment is talking about comfort, not crash numbers and most non budget airlines offer more comfort.
It’s really interesting to see Ryainair called such as bad airline. I flew so often with them (from Rome I might add) and never experienced issues. It’s a low-cost-carrier and you get what you pay for. Simple as that. You wanna have a cheap flight? Ryainair is perfect. (I took flights for 5€ per trip!) but if you wanna have extras like cabin luggage and stuff you must pay or switch to an airline which includes theses perks🤷🏼♀️
I went on Ryanair and I have to say it’s a good airline, the staff was friendly, the cabin was clean which was great to see. What I didn’t like about it is how expensive the food and drinks were and there is no need paying that much cash. The check in was good and I don’t think it’s the worst airline, it’s also cheap and gets you were ever you want to go.
I'm Irish and Ryanair is like our main airline and I've used it all the time. I have never had any bad experiences and would say the staff was friendly and the flight was comfortable. I am very confused why it is seen as the worlds worst airline
I was in Manchester UK and because of their staff shortages we waited 2 hours on the ground instead of being in Italy. Then on the way back we were delayed 3 hours.
Honestly, I'm Italian and living in the Uk since 2015, using Ryanair to go up and down between countries and never had a problem with this company, I actually prefer it to Easyjet and some others cheap carriers. Delays can happen (I had delays with other more important names such as Air Lingus). Ryanair is not the worst company for sure.
Interesting getting the perspective of someone who has never flown with them. I think from a European perspective who flies Ryanair all the time cause they are by far the cheapest a lot if the stuff called out in the video is right but people who regularly fly can get around the lake mines easier knowing what to expect. - Knowing to checkin days in advance - Knowing the different bag sizes - Always allowing a lot of extra time for a connecting flight. I think once you get used to it they arnt that bad and by far the most economical all things considered.
This sounds like the best Ryanair experience ever. All budget airlines have delays and you only had one😯. I always have delays while flying budget airlines especially Ryanair. Also you may think your plane was messy, but it was actually pretty clean and you had smooth landings both times which is something I have never experienced while flying Ryanair. If you think this was a bad experience your planes in Canada must be amazing.
The customer service? Okay, it’s atrocious. The flight delays? They occurred all throughout Europe in July, not Ryanair’s fault. No in flight meals? The ticket prices are generous enough, they need to profit. You have to pay for baggage? Again, the ticket prices are generous enough, they need to profit. They’re selling perfumes? Anything for profit. The landings? They’ve improved over the years, and they’re quite average now. I fly with Ryanair very frequently, sometimes several times a year, and the actual flight experience isn’t even half as bad as the reviews.
the perfume thing is on other airlines too, there’s a sort of catalogue on some planes where you can buy perfumes, jewellery, food, toys, all sorts of things
There is really no way to tell, sometimes they can have good landings, or bad landings. You had amazing landings, but others get really bad ones. The people who get bad landings think it's the worst airline ever, while the people who got lucky think otherwise. I do agree that the customer service is terrible, though.
Yeah that's true me and my family were in lanzarote and we booked flights with Ryan Air it costed about 100 pound and it was smooth landing and a clean plane and it was almost an empty flight
Have you ever considered flying Lufthansa they are a great German airline and Lufthansa is the airline company that I do dream of working for because I really like the airline a lot
The only ever time I flew on RyanAir I vomit because of the food, my flight got delayed because there were not enough employees (Dont blame them), and HORRIBLE HORRIBLE air conditioning. Oh and they made my family pay another 50 euros for baggage with the dirty bathrooms with long queues.
Budget airlines are like that. Took a Spirit flight for a conference (I’m in the US), and they nickel and dime you on everything. I paid extra for a slightly bigger seat and checked luggage, and it came out to the same price as a standard ticket on a regular airline. The plane was also messy, and this was with COVID still being an issue (I was fully vaccinated). If it wasn’t for the timing, I would have gladly taken a Southwest or Delta flight.
As a european, i use ryanair a lot. It is a really good airline and you get what you pay for. The airline is actualy for shorter flights like 2-3-4 hours.
Ryanair is one of the only airlines i have ever flown with (Being a European) it is said to be the safest airline in the world with not a single crash and i don't know why he said it's became a meme it's just in America (I'm talking about the continent) there's not much "Budget Airlines" like there is in Europe with Ryanair Easyjet Vueling and Wizz it's not that bad as he makes it sound like.
@Moucho2 have you ever tried flying Lufthansa before I did fly them in December and they were amazing and next time I fly Lufthansa I'll try to ask one of the flights attendants to have a picture with them during my flight it would be so cool to have an actual photo with a Lufthansa flight attendant
That's so strange! I had the exact same experience with Ryanair as you!! I had the one hour delay for no reason and they had not cleaned the plane from previous flights and they only sold perfume and cologne!! I think they only clean at the end of the day but I think you should if there are NOTICABLE mess! We did have a bad landing though! Our bags took 1 45 minutes to come through! Imagine!! They never explained any reasonings for delays too!
I've flown with Ryanair so many times and never had any problems. The crew was always friendly, flight was on time🤷♂️ And guys what the fuck are you expecting for 5 euro tickets? Free water and snacks?🤣🤣 You shouldn't use them if you don't understand how they are working
@@ZADARGG Yes I agree if you want to have those things during your flight then you could try Lufthansa because that's a part of your ticket with them and they do give you food and drinks
So with Ryanairs landing being " bad " the ceo of Ryanair once said, " its policy for a maintenence van and crew have to inspect the aircraft. Now I'm going to ask to send me, a time where a " bad landing " occurred and a maintenance van and mechanics had to inspect the aircraft. Where the layovers go from 35 mins to 2-3 hours. "
I think the hard landings are from some pilots who flew in the Navy (think aircraft carriers). You can tell those from the Air Force have mostly butter landings.
As a Japanese, I would say they’re the worst airline ever had haha I used them several times, and they always delay. The most disappointed thing was messy seats. But under 2-3 hours, so I could manage to do it. The costs were not as reasonable as I expected tho
I only been on an airplane once, it was from Sydney NSW and it was going to Cairns In Queensland. Also next year I’m going to Vietnam from Australia and that will be the second county I have been to because the only country I been in is Australia.
Losing luggage and filthy planes are Air Canada specialities. Never had an issue with Ryanair beside this one time when some Karen tried denying me boarding because I allegedly had too much to drink.
As a person in Europe I use Ryanair all the time and people saying “it had a fire” is so fake. They have soft landings, clean planes and air conditioning working. Idk what people are on about and I’ve never had a delay on it. They also do sell food. Idm it tbh
Ryan air isn't that bad but the landings are a bit rough it to a long time to depart on the runway because of a plane but I was on a 50-minute flight from London. There was a delay Because they couldn't find an actual plane so we had to wait 50 minutes for boarding. When we got in, my seat was clean but under it had candy and dust. My tray was grey and it was clean and the toilets were a bit small but that's reasonable because it's a small flight. They had snacks onboard like pringles and water as well but they cost money. I think I would use a different airline next time but I still think Ryan air is still good for short flights.
No intentional hate here* I am someone who flys 2-4 times a year. I’ve always wanted to fly Emirates or Quatar but we could only fly Ryanair as we went from Newcastle to Dublin direct. I am an aviator and love planes. I will go on a flight whenever I possibly can and always enjoy them. Whenever someone like you makes a review video I feel like your just not as grateful as you should be. The staff are always great, yes… the airport situation is not the best but you still get an awesome flight. Ryanair has a 15min turn around schedule and they clean as best as possible and so what? There is always going to be a piece of tissue on the floor. I just think people should be more grateful for the opportunities they get when flying.
As a European who flies Ryanair all the time, it was confusing hearing you being confused about things like them selling perfumes LOL

As a frequent ryanair flyer (not major frequent but probably about 15 times)
- Pilots are majorly underrated
- Flights have an extremely quick turnaround so will sometimes be messy (This also means if you’re getting an evening flight it will almost always be delayed as the rest of the day has to go completely smoothly in order for that flight to be on time)
- You need to pay for priority pass in order to take an overhead bag but if you look at buying a specific seat some seats automatically come with overhead space and they are usually cheaper than buying the overhead itself.

In Ryanair’s defense, you can’t help empty-headed customers who don’t read the terms of their purchase or know how to utilize an airport map.
Very true. And about the landing in this video they were smooth because it was an longer runway but ryanair typically flies to small airports

I've flown on Ryanair 1-2 times per year since 2008 and I've always had a great and positive experience with them every time.
Flights are reasonably priced, legroom is alright and the flight experiance is generally good and they got me from A to B which is the most important thing
The worlds worst airline is technically Air Koryo from North Korea since they have a 1* rating

It happened the same to me! We had to go at 15:00 but it got delayed so we could go in a 23:15. We arrived home at 3:30
The seats were disgusting, and we didn’t have any food, there was a lot of trash
That's sad must be horrible in there
You want delays, you dont want to fly in a broken plane!

Ryanair does hard landings because some runways are short so they do that to reduce their speed and won’t overrun
Just flew with Ryanair, I always go with this company but I never see anything bad or unusual so I guess I'm kinda lucky lol
Ask Shaina
You cant expect alot from a 15$ Flights airline, Ryanair is actually the best budget airlines I have ever been to. Easyjet are the worst.
Interesting getting the perspective of someone who has never flown with them. I think from a European perspective who flies Ryanair all the time cause they are by far the cheapest a lot if the stuff called out in the video is right but people who regularly fly can get around the lake mines easier knowing what to expect.
- Knowing to checkin days in advance
- Knowing the different bag sizes
- Always allowing a lot of extra time for a connecting flight.
