This feels like the last piece of my puzzle of golf. Always had some degree of flipping. Started the game at 33, at 66 now, I'm proud of my handicap, 4.3, but I have to conquer this elusive part of my game. Warren, the way you demonstrate this drill makes it so obvious compared to many I've seen. Very much appreciated!
super simple instruction on takeaway that allowed me to have my very best ball striking round ever. So much more room and the knowledge of when to set your wrists. Genius…….
This is definitely a "Eureka! moment for me, for sooo many years ive always thought i needed to get my hands back to the address position at impact. Hopefully I cant start to eliminate the thinning hits from my game. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your tutorials, I really believe these will benefit so many golfers like myself! Top man!
Oh wow, Anthony. It’s amazing that you’re watching from Hawaii, and thank you for your support. If you ever want one-to-one lesson, just let me know !! 😂 Many thanks Warren
Thank you for sharing and demonstrating this essential movement of the golf swing. Your manner of teaching is so helpful and informative. I cannot wait for warmer weather to practice this for my swing. New to golf at 76, instruction like this gives me hope. Thank you…
Thank you for this video Warren. This seems to have been a "missing link" for me for many years. The understanding of exactly how the left hand moves through impact. So far I have only tried it out in my garden, chipping, and it absolutely works wonders on my impact. Can't wait to work some more on this in my fuller swings. And thank you for sharing all your golfing wisdom in your many helpful videos. Cheers.
Great drill...I was actually making this move on the range the other day as I was fed up of trying to hit a draw by hitting from in to out which mostly produced hooks. This was a great feeling of turning my left wrist down through impact and for the first time I had the hands coming in with the club head going out on an in to out path, just like the analogy of the speed boat and the water skier being thrown out with great speed. I was striking the ball with great compression and a penetrating ball flight. I would be interested in your views about a similar feeling for my driver and woods?.
Hi warren im miles off been in this position in my golf swing! I have no downward angle of attack! When i do this practice drill i can really hit some nice compressed little shots but unfortunately im not normallly in this correct position before impact. Iv noticed when i go into the drill postion then take the club to the top of the backswing im in a completely different postion than normal?? But probably correct i feel unstuck. Is the setting of the club not allowing me to hit this position on the way down. Thanks
Hi Warren, Huge fan of your videos and content. I’m a decent golfer (8hcp) but odd “over the top” move when trying too hard, I get steep and hit toe strike low left. Should I be more hands release or body release? All the best to you and main man Trev
Hi Scott, thanks for your message and your support of me on the channel much appreciated. It sounds like when you get steep you come across the ball giving you the toe strikes. Golfers who are OTT definitely do not need hand release, if you can get the path more ‘in to out’ you then can get more hand/arm release if need be. For the ‘out to in’ path you will have to cut across the ball (toe strikes) and probably have to hold on. So if I have to pick one it would be body release, but neither would be of great benefit with a steep swing. What I would make sure first is the path to be correct. Hope that helps and many thanks. Warren
@ I’m working hard on shallowing the club and getting the club “in to out” but hands going low left through impact. Love your videos many of which cover this. Merry Christmas
@warrenbennettgolfacademy glad to hear! Trevino said the same thing. Had a guy at my club say 4:30 the other day and I just had to walk off. Hope everything is good your way!

Thank you once again Janice 👍
Mahalo from Hawaii 😎🤙🏾…my favorite drill to get me back in sync, can tell by the sound of the pure solid ball contact.

Brilliant video. Feeling like you get the hands past the ball first, with the right elbow tucked in are great for good ball striking.
Hi Neil,
Thanks. Yes that combo is a good one for solid contact.
Many thanks
Warren
Thanks!
Wow thank you SO SO MUCH, this is very kind of you.
Kind regards
Warren

Great drill thanks
Thanks Lucan appreciate it very much.

I need to try this!
Hi Warren. When doing this drill, is your left hand/wrist more dominant, or the right hand??? Thank you

Just curious, if the back of the ball is 6 o'clock, where do you concentrate your strike on the ball for a straight shot/draw?
Hi Jesse, definitely looking at the 7oclock area 👍
@warrenbennettgolfacademy glad to hear! Trevino said the same thing. Had a guy at my club say 4:30 the other day and I just had to walk off. Hope everything is good your way!
No sound warren 😢
The volume on your device is turned off.
Many thanks for this lesson
Thanks!
