    I’ve always used the feet together drill and it’s been pretty helpful. Watching the way you demonstrate it has actually been a game changer for me. I would rotate off the ball, and would still have to make compensations to get back to the ball properly. Keeping very centered, like you stated, has REALLY helped me make much better contact with the ball. Thanks for the info and the great content! Keep it up.

    Sweet to leave the garage for Trevor to get some fresh air (and to get the spotlight as usual LOL) , and also I guess because of a rare spot of sunshine these last few weeks? Good compilation of drills (I think you did most of them in prior video's). I also did see Tommy Fleetwood tip that 'step forward' drill. Tried that already on the range and was amazed on the easy distance gain - I managed to surprisingly hit the middle quite well.

    I’ve spent years concentrating on the clubhead trying to hit the ball when in fact, after these exercises, I can see that the handle (butt) comes first. Quite a lightbulb moment. A lot of women that i know slice or produce weak right shots and I imagine that is the same reason. Thanks for these exercises Warren. Love your videos.

    Superb winter drill compilation.
    The lasso drill is very much an exaggeration , using the x0.25 playback speed feature at 12:04 in the video there is very little actual flattening when you hit the shot… almost imperceptible.

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Mike, thanks for the message. I know that shows how difficult it is to have a lot of re-rotation in the transition. As soon as speed and force is layered on the shaft it only happens for a fraction but that is all that is required really. I will be doing a video shortly on this.
      Thanks Mike and hope all is well.
      Regards
      Warren

    Warren being relatively new to you channel I’m been catching up. I’ve been using many of you drills show, or variations of, however the “lasso” drill looks interesting I’ll give that a go. I also agree with your comment it takes” hundred and thousands of reps” to get it right! Having a indoor hitting station in my basement allows me to practice almost daily even if only 30 or so minutes a day. The sessions focus on specific moves with exercises that reinforce.

    I’m new to your channel too. These are great drill and ones I’ll apply from tomorrow. My issues are early release and the related matter of failing to stay in posture. Your drills give me plenty to think about and will help with my key focus areas. Not to mention they will give me a structure to follow. Many thanks and keep up the great videos.

      Hi Mick,
      Many thanks for your support which is very much appreciated.
      Many golfers don’t know their fault so it’s good you do. Keep chipping away at it, little and often is the key.
      Good luck with everything and hope the content can be of some interest and help to you.
      Many thanks

    Great drills again, thanks. Just a kind word of caution for you. I had a springer who loved playing with sticks & we used to throw them for him, until one day it stuck in the grass & went length first into the back of his throat. We nearly lost him but luckily he did pull through. Fantastic content, please keep it coming 👍

    These drills look brilliant unfortunately I’m guilty through the years of not doing more of these drills but instead whacking buckets of balls hoping something will change. I’m gonna dedicate myself to some of these drills and see if I can make some much welcomed change for the upcoming year. Great channel and thanks! Subscribed

      Thank you so much for not only commenting but subscribing. We have all been there, and well done for recognising you need to adjust your practice. Continuity is the key just like any new skill we have to learn, keep is small and regular so it keeps it doable. We are all guilty of overdo so after a short while it gets boring and repetitive. Change the drills up and I’m sure you will see the results you are after. I hope I can play a small part in helping you.
      Many thanks and kind regards.

      Hey Warren wanted to come back and let you know I had an incredible range session today thanks to you. I started with feet together drill which I really think freed me up right out of the gate. Every few shots I added the other drills in and stuck with that formula. Have not had such a productive range visit in a long time! Great channel and so glad you showed up in my feed. Oh and as a pet owner myself we seem to have that keen awareness of where they are while practicing…enjoy seeing Trevor hopefully you keep him in the videos

    Great video Warren, I discovered your channel a couple of days ago and must agree with what a of your fans are saying, your videos are the best by far on UA-cam, your giving away a lot of secrets that’s most professional coaches don’t tell you. Very impressed with the recent Driver video and the video explaining about your eyes position though impact. I’ve learnt more about the golf swing in the last couple of days that I’ve learnt in years. In a word “ Brilliant”

    Ever heard of tying your dog up temporarily?

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  9 місяців тому +2

      Hi, Robert.
      I used to do it when he was a puppy, obviously to keep him away from clubs and balls but he has witnessed thousands and thousands of people hitting the golf ball, so he is now used to that sound, but I am always aware of his presence. I obviously cannot guarantee but I always put his safety first.
