    Kulas, it is nice to see what your typical day looks like when you aren’t traveling. I love the simplicity and peacefulness in the new lives that you and Bret have adapted. I can sense the contentment, appreciation and gratefulness that you both have. Thank you for always spreading awareness and for being proactive on protecting our environment. You have educated us on the importance of recycling, reducing the use of plastics, cleaning up the community, conserving water, and choosing sustainable products. There is always something to learn from you. You are definitely a hero because of the extraordinary things that you do. I am so glad that I stumbled upon your channel two weeks ago. Because of you, I have caught myself saying “power on” or “salig lang” whenever I encounter something challenging or whenever I need a motivational force. I must say, saying these phrases can change one’s perspective and the outcome of the situation.

    Hi Kyle greetings from Australia 😊🇦🇺 adopting the Filipino way that’s why you’re called BECOMING FILIPINO. You’re the proof if you want to live in the Philippines then you have to adopt the way of life of the people. I love a simple life and be happy of what you’ve got. My husband loves to be brown, one time he asked me to buy him a tanning lotion because he’s so white so I went to the chemist ( pharmacy) and asked for tanning lotion then the lady looked at me a bit confused and straight away I got her and said “ it’s not for me it’s for my husband as you can see I got lot of it “ and we laughed 😊 have a wonderful day. Take care always.😊👍

      Because they're brain washed believing light skin is better than dark skin. This is the same in other places.

    • @samthepoet107
      @samthepoet107 5 років тому +4

      All that strong sun in the Philippines they need darker skin to protect from UV rays. Canada is high up in the northern hemisphere with Eskimos and the North Pole. They need lighter skin to get Vitamin D. Even me my doctor told me to go out in the sun more because my Vitamin D level has been low. So I take supplements and it went up.

    • @samthepoet107
      @samthepoet107 5 років тому +2

      @Macaria Elle maybe Vit B to help build up their blood? There are different versions of it but Cobalamin for red blood cells and the nerves. But you're correct a good diet in fresh veggies will do. But the Philippines, as you know, is a complex country. Some eat a lot of fast food getting fat while some barely have enough to buy food at the market.

    It is really hot in tropical countries and the coldest time of the year is from November to February which is actually not that cold for people who are accustomed to cold weather... What you guys are doing is Canadian ingenuity adapting to your environment... [feels like i want to apologize for the weather...😞]
    And the whitening soap is a thing here in the Philippines, i guess we have been forced to believed that beauty is having white skin... But you guys saw that there is beauty in every skin color... Thank you for showing us that beauty is beyond your skin its the kindness of your heart and the strength to appreciate even the negativity of life. Btw take care Kulas, I don't know where you are right now, but I pray for your safety and I hope you didn't forget the box of fruits just like the box of hopia...char! Anyways God bless you. Keep safe!

    Mahal in bisaya is expensive. Mahigugma kits is I love you. The soaps made in the Philippines are sources from fruits, flowers, herbal vegtables, n coconut milk. Ampalaya is good for HB n squash good for kidney (with potassium). Avocado is super healthy fruit rich in potassium (for kidney, avoid athritis, n other nutrients)

I am jealous of filipino tan skin, looks great to me, much better than my lily white ghosty English skin colour haha. maybe I am biased tho as I love everything filipino, the country and best people on the planet .

    Sharing to the world glimpse of your day in, day out life when you're not on the road vlogging. Looks like laid back life - house cleaning every now and then, quick run to the laundry mart when the hamper is full every now and then. Your lifestyle is everybody's dream. Unlikely subject for the day is soap - I've been making my own soap for the past two years. I was wondering as to why soap are so expensive since it is so easy to make. Basic ingredients are oil, water and lye. You can add goat milk if you wish to soften the rough edges of the skin. For the the smell, drops of Lavender oil, Rose oil, Chamomile oil or depending perfumery you fancy. For exfoliation, add a spoon of ground oatmeal or lemon zest. When you're done mixing, pour the mixture into a molder and let it set to hardened. After five days, the soap is ready to use. Your meal cost less than $2.00 - cheap, same with the fruit. That's the luxury living in the Philippines if you're a dollar earner. Thanks for the entertainment again. I look forward to watching stunning and amazing views. Take care!

    Haha... Made that "mistake" with the Papaya soap too. Also thought it had a nice fresh light smell. On opening my 2nd box did I notice the word "whitening" on it. Sheshhh... Oh well, I just finish the other 4 pieces (on sale 6 pack) I bought. This and a few other "mistakes", I then started paying more attention to what's written on the packaging of the stuff I buy.
