This makes me smile as I think of Sunday School and Easter programs when I was a boy. The backstory here is that in the early 1900s, Rev. John Wesley Henning, an ex slave minister in Tennessee, was known for his colorful "black-ized" sermons of Bible stories. A white writer published Rev. Henning's Bible stories as "Ol Man Adam and His Chillun" in 1928. This evolved into the play "The Green Pastures" in 1930 and the film version in 1936, and then this in the 1950s.
Great show! CBS did a lot of stuff in color from 1954-1959 and then in 1960 stopped telecasting in color until 1965, so this might have been aired in color in 1959.

The guy who plays Noah, (Jack Benny’s butler, Rochester), is the same actor who played the same role in the movie too, and he was Ethel Waters husband, Joe, in “Cabin in the sky”.
