These wagons are very old, made by Tri-ang in England. They are shorter than they should be to scale, but I like these shortened models, they are ideal on a tiny layout such as mine (1x1,5 meter). Thanks for watching 🙏👍
Hi Martin, yes that 4-axle diesel was running super smooth, pleasant to see after all these faltering 2-axle locomotives. 😄 Thanks for watching 🙏 Greetings, Erik 🙋♂️
That TGK2 is a great runner, sometimes it can stall at points, but usually it gets over them without problems, even on a low speed. Thanks for watching 🙏👍
Hi Alexander, yes, it often needs a push. The wheelbase is only 2,5 cm, so it easily looses contact. I clean my rails before every running session, but even that is not enough to have a smooth run. But it is so beautiful that I don’t mind pushing it 😄 Thanks for watching 🙏👍 Greetings, Erik 🙋♂️🇧🇪
Hi Erik, there are a few issues that can make these small 0-4-0 locos stall on points. Can I suggest trying to slightly loosen the screws holding the base plated to the chassis, I have 2 Hornby Locos that stalled easily on points and I found by allowing the axles to move a little more really helped as the wheels and axles in the chassis are very rigid. I f any of your track is slightly deformed then one of the wheels can loose contact and stall the loco. The other solution is to fit pick ups to a small wagon and wire it to the loco making it 6 or 8 wheel pickup. I did this to my tiny Hornby Pug and now it runs very slowly over all my points. The wagon can be made to disconnect by wiring plugs and sockets or permanently wired. Cheers, Paul.
Hi Paul, these are very good advices. Thanks 🙏 I will maybe try to get a Peckett B2, these are also cute and are 0-6-0 which should make them great runners, I think. On the other hand, I must try to moderate my passion for Hornby products, because collecting soviet rolling stock ánd British rolling stock all together could become a bit expensive 😁😄🙃🙂 Thanks for watching 🙏👍 Greetings, Erik 🙋♂️

Nice loc and super stop motion with water crane. And you added a driver, I forget the driver in some of my locs😞.
Hi Arnaud, yes I like to add a little bit of stop motion 😁 Thanks for watching 🙏👍 Greetings, Erik 🙋♂️

Many regards

What brand of points/turnouts do you have on your layout? I find that my Peckett does not stall on Peco Electrofrog turnouts.
I have Trix C-track. Thanks for watching!
