Verry clear and helpful, thank you! But I do have one more question. Can you any insight, what exactly is causing increased bone matrix secretion during periods of increased exercise, and how does it work, that the bone matrix is increasing where the stress is the hightest?
Is it because of a greater abundance of oxigen in the blood, increased presence of growth hormones (bones of male specimen are statistically more dense, than female bones) or do the muscles trigger this effect? (I assume it's all of these factors in some way, but if you could give me a clear answer, I would be more than glad).
I was studying Biology at Eötvös Lorand University in Budapest (Hungary) but dropped out unfortunately. My goal was to become a researcher in Evolutionary Biology, specialising on how the environment and the behaviour of species influences, and alters the anatomy and morphology (e.g. convergent evolution).
Now I am a sculptor working on the reconstruction of extinct animals, by studying fossils and recent bones to get a deeper and more scientific knowledge about this subject.

Hello, your like of work sounds awesome! Not an expert, but increased muscle mass due to increased exercise might have to do with mechanosensitive signals. Essentially, if bones have to withstand higher amounts of force they are stimulated to grow and get stronger, same way bone density tends to be lost if they arent carrying load like with bedridden patients
