This song is such an inspiration, im a survivor of sexual abuse of three times (that i can remember) once by my grandmother's husband, she had left to go pick up my older brother from Wisconsin (we were in Florida) and while she left me with him he told me i could run around the house naked, he touched me but i was too young to realize how bad that was, i was only like 3-5, then when i was 8 i spent a month or two at this guy's house, he claimed to be my uncle but none of my family remembered him, not even me, but for whatever reason my family let me go, i remember on the way to his house we were in a hotel with another family, they were asleep only 4 feet from me, and his wife was right beside him, he slid his hands down my pants and started touching me calling it a game, and the last time was when i was 14, my own brother waited until i was asleep, he had just come from Wisconsin to visit me (not in Florida), and next thing i know im waking up to him cumming on my behind with my pants pulled down and me bleeding, i didnt tell my mother until 4 years later, it was like half a year ago when i finally gathered the courage to tell her what her son did to me, ill never forget how she quickly went silent then pretended she never heard it. I knew she wasnt a good mother since she neglected me in some ways while was extremely emotionally abusive in others, but i never expected her to ignore me like that. Im trying to write a song to help me past these traumatic events, and im specifically trying to write an opening, im usung this song and many others as inspiration, and i am just so inspired by how the person dealt with this, i hope your life gets better, and thank you for writing a song like this
this hits different because it feels like something my brother would make a song or rap about when he was younger. this is like if he was younger like before i was born and my little brother only my him and my sister. he was being raised by a single mom for a while. they met my sisters dad that was also really mean. he didn’t have a man to teach him how to be one. he started doing drugs and broke a few laws went to jouvinule detention and now he’s in jail. no one is seeing this but whatever. i really miss him.
hey this is me 9 months later. he’s still jail and he’s 18 now but he’s been calling me and my family and i really love it. he’s always loved to draw and recently he made my family and i a drawing with a bunch of animals. he sounds better and it seems that he’s aiming to get better. i pray for him every night and i know he’s getting better. idk what to say but ig i just wanted to say something to someone or something cause i haven’t been able to recently so i just came here. thanks to anyone.

O just got out of an institution and trust me your brother is thinking about you everyday thats what i did i grew up with an abusive father that left when i was 8 and i was sent to institution at 13 and i got out like a week ago and im 17 now, both my parents were heroin junkies they met at a rehab and its hard when drugs take control of you ive been where ur brother is i hope hell be home soon and that he gets out of that life even tho im not out yet im trying 💯
And keep loving your brother even tho he could be chosing them wrong choises 1 of my brothers does not talk to me anymore cos of the drugs and illegal things i do
I hope you get to see him and give him something to live for, something to look forward to. I hope he gets out and gets to celebrate with yall

People that are bullies have no life. If you think that your worthless because people bully you, don't listen to those bullies. Bullies are worst than anyone. If a lot of people don't like you, don't worry about it. People that bully are scared of you! Don't let bullies bring you down. No one deserves to be bullied. I have been bullied so many times but i just keep saying to myself that they are scared of me, they are nothing. If your getting bullied, just walk away and stay away from them. I am being bullied at school but the teachers wont do anything about it. So i just think to myself "If i punch this kid, what will happen?" So i just stay away from them and walk away. Don't tolerate those people! They are nothing! Be the bigger person in the situation.

Well said young man but there is nothing wrong with punching one of those bullies in the face. Even if you get suspended from school, it’s ok to stand up for yourself. Or, find the real tough kids in your school, and ask them for help. Many of the real tough kids were bullied at one point and would love to help you out. There’s a lot of good kids too.
