Neil - I love the style of video's that you've done since you restarted. You are doing what I wish every van channel would do - focus on showing us how you use and live in your van for most of the video (as opposed to 5 minute of van life with endless footage of walking down hiking trails!!).
Just a beautiful van! I can’t believe all the space. In the 70’s, my Mother bought a Volkswagen camper, with the pop up top. 😅 She decided we would have “family fun” . My very much younger brother and mother, and myself loved it. We traveled through Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah. MY FATHER HATED IT AND WAS MISERABLE ON EACH TRIP. Well, I just started college, and would use it every weekend with girlfriends. So much fun!! Great trips and time with friends! The simply horrible draw back was in the mountains. The engine was SO small, it couldn’t make it up a mountain when it was loaded. Total nightmare. So…….looking at your guys van, I’m drooling. What luxury! And I bet you can get up a mountain in it. My home state was flat, thank God! Tons of lakes with camping by all the lakes! Thank you for giving me those memories back. @ 70, I’m afraid I forget those happy memories. we thought we were in “High Cotton” having that camper while in college. After graduation it was sold. Sad day as it still looked brand new. I was off to NYC for a new job. You have a beautiful van! Just love it!
this is a wonderful story! I best friend has a vw bus in college and yes I remember us trying to make it up hills! we were putting along 45 on the freeway. still those are some of my fondest memories in that old bus.
I too have great memories of that era of VW van camper! We camped with two young children…daughter in roof top bed, 3yr-old son in a cool pop in hammock over front seats! Our friend was a hobbyist VW mechanic and put Porsche valves in the engine! No problem with hills! Now in our late 70’s, we might get a Paanoramic for our last years of camping 😊. Longtime fans of your journey, Neil
That strategic parking really pays off. Love that the van fits in a regular spot. When I get a van that is the one thing I am excited about. Looks like a nice day.
Your daughter is heading to my neck of the woods! Lots of humidity here today! Thunderstorms tomorrow! Hope she loves DC. I do! Beautiful city! (Not as beautiful as San Francisco 🙂)Lots of free things to see. Lots of history.
DC is as beautiful as SF each in their own ways! There is so much power and culture and history in DC. My daughter had a great experience. Thank you for the kind comment.
It is a quiet ride. One of the most quiet vans that I’ve owned. To be fair, my microphones are directional and are only picking up our voices and not the background noises.
@@Ultramobility I was meaning the breakfast cafe you went to as an alternative to the Schoolhouse. Not the one in Daly City. Looked more like Moraga. Thanks again!
I use these repurposed Christmas LED candles (just candles when not on the Christmas doily) that run on rechargeable batteries. His light looks SO much cooler than my cheap solution. 🤣🥰
We are looking for a 19’ RV with a DRY bath (separate shower and toilet). Not a fan of wet bath where you shower on top of the toilet. RV manufacturers, come up with a design which smartly separates the shower and keeping the toilet dry. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m not sure of any dry bath option on a 19 foot van. There is the Pivot by Roadtreak that has the bathroom that you’re talking about. That’s on the 21 foot Promaster.
@@Ultramobility yeah, that shower wall that you can swivel over to cover the toilet is really SMART design. Wish more 19’ RV van manufacturers will consider this. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@Ultramobility happy, but slow poke days! Just look at the beautiful luxury we have available today!
Besides, I’m too old now to get out and push! 😅

“We’re home! Julian’s asleep…” SLAMS DOOR 💥 Thanks for the laugh, I needed that! 🤣🥰
haha 😂
@@Ultramobility - My heart went out to Julian thinking “He is awake NOW!” LOL!
it was not only loud it shook the van like an earthquake. 😬
There's no quiet way to close any of the doors. 😊 rear door are even louder.
I was going to leave the same comment, SLAM!!😂did you tip toe into bed after that?

it is the primary reason to get a class b in my opinion. i love the flexibility to take your little home wherever you like.

i love his voice too. he doesn’t get it 😆
He doesn't speak enough. We want more!!!
Great sharing. Thanks much. 😊
as always thank you for watching Grayman. Been tuning into your videos as well. I hope that your achilles is doing better?
Surprisingly quiet, even while noticing the auto traffic just outside.

Love ‘The Cow’ menu. Could you please let viewers know the location? Thanks 🙏
it’s “Supreme Pot” in Daly City, CA

Ahhh that is a wonderful spot in Moraga, CA called “Town”
Perhaps I missed it from the previous clips. Where did you buy that beautiful lighting on the lounge table?
ah yes. that was from my store on Amazon but unfortunately they no longer make this exact one. i have another similar one in my store.

nothing wrong with cheap
Do you do the van for weekends and road-trips? I really want one, but not sure of the cost/benefit for me.
absolutely. i use my van regularly. i camp, travel and will just take it out on the weekend and use it as a base for whatever adventure i’m on.
