All politics aside. Julia arrived in Australia as a sickly child aged six, and later became prime minister of the nation!!!! That is a truly remarkable feat!! WOW!!!!

The difference is Hawke and Abbott were both not performing well in a polling (public perception) sense when they were challenged. Rudd was popular with the public and so it came as a complete surprise when Gillard toppled him. She couldn’t explain why she had done it in a way that made sense to the average punter.

Question why did she run against Kevin Rudd? American for full disclosure, and I asked because I couldn’t find any genuine reason in my research why Rudd was no longer fit for the job. It seemed like she wanted it and went for it but never really gave a reason.

I missed Julia Gillard. She should try making a pact with Jacinda Ardern and Princess Ameera al Taweel.

I really didn’t like it when she compared her situation to Hillary Clinton’s. It didn’t have anything to do with gender it had everything to do with the fact that she (Hillary) was profoundly out of touch. A lot of the policies that she opposed as a presidential candidate were actually policies that would’ve helped women. It made her look like a feminist in name only.

The most powerful position in the country and the only thing she is remembered for is complaining the opposition was rude.

As a left wing person i gotta admit. Julie Bishop might've made a great PM.
