Just searched for this and found it!!….The city is Newcastle upon Tyne and the park was called Brandling Park....or as we kids called it back then...'The paddling pool park'....One of the girls who run past Shaw Taylor was a girl I played with on our estate....I remember her telling me that she was asked to do this by the film crew....dunno why.....The irony of this ad was lost on me back then....I think it was 70-72 or thereabouts....That paddling pool was bloody dangerous!!….The bottom was slimy and a good few of us took rather painful tumbles caused by running about in and around it.....A warning should've been given about that too in the ad....Its no longer there now...I think its a bowling green....There's also a lot of the park on the Great North Road side gone now too, to make way for the Central Motorway which was completed in 1976 I think....
It took the law of 1983 to really get around 85% people to wear them even then people still dont to this day. Law should of been made many years before!
