- David Marcus is the CEO and co-founder of Lightspark, building core infrastructure on the Lightning Network. Most recently he led Meta’s payments and crypto efforts. In 2018, David started Diem (fka Libra). He joined Meta, then called Facebook, in 2014 to lead Messenger. Previously, he was PayPal’s President. A lifelong entrepreneur, Marcus launched two companies in Europe, then founded mobile payments company Zong in Silicon Valley, which was acquired by PayPal in 2011.

Hi Natalie! I'm catching up on some of your older interviews and this is a great interview with David Marcus. He tiptoes around a little because he can't just say the truth without making some enemy's. Let me say it straight. The management of money is the purview of the government. The reason private individuals and businesses are stepping in but are being thwarted at every turn is that, (1) the government and their banks are not doing their job and they are decades behind and, (2) the government and their banks will not relinquish control in the area of financial management in this digital age. It's as simple as that. If the government would pull their head out of that dark place, figure out this digital currency thing, and issue some responsible guidance, The whole thing could be figured out MUCH more quickly. The real problem... they can't figure out a way to issue guidance and still maintain control. The bozos are between a rock and a hard place. Fact!!

Epic Cash probably doesn't need tech and services like Lightspark whereas Bitcoin is a lot older tech and arguably the king of crypto so it demands more innovation that improves it.
Older tech are you serious, nothing has bettered it 13 years and the innovation being built is off the charts you just aren't interested in looking .

@Ann baldwinYes I agree with you, Nancy Williams strategy has been helping a lot of traders/newbies out there, with her program i was able to recover my losses from the crash so swiftly.
It doesn't matter if you are a current holder or a newbie, you can capitalize on the fluctuation of bitcoin by trading with good strategy/signals.

Building a good investment portfolio is more complex so I do recommend traders to seek Nancy Williams' support. This way you can get strategies designed to address your unique long/short-term goals and financial dreams.
He talks about Bitcoin mining as if it's going to be the great step in going green globally.
Bitcoin mining is basically using massive amounts of energy to guess at a number in order to earn bitcoins for the miners, meanwhile contributing nothing to the real economy of goods and services. The whole concept is a complete and ridiculous sham.
I think you should look for more information on the full impact of bitcoin on the environment. Of course there are massive positive from a grid balancing perspective but even if you think this is all BS, think about the impact of Bitcoin on nowadays consumers behavior. If we move to a Bitcoin standard, the "always more" mentality will shift to a more austerity one.

Yep. Same here but let's focus on the information he provides. As long as he permits Bitcoin companies to flourish, I don't care if he is a good or bad person. Liars don't flare very well under a Bitcoin standard anyway
