This is a really good idea, though a sad one. Makes sense to keep it ready and separate the emotions it will conjure in the future. Congrats on being so lucky… I lost my dad in 2021 but have otherwise been pretty lucky!
My dad passed away last summer at the age of 96. We kept the funeral casual as it was hot out. The bag I use was my everyday carry for and around work. Luckily I haven’t made any associations between the bag and his funeral.
I went to a sad one and took a bag ....I associated it with that funeral. Luckily it needs repairs....so it will no t be exactly the same bag. Thank you for sharing.
