@@JoeCoastal it sure does Joe! 😊 I'm trying to get a more permanent slice myself and hounding estate agents for anywhere between Weymouth and Dartmouth at the moment so maybe in a future video I can stop by and say I now have a more regular slice too😂🙆🏻♂️🧐⚓
Looks like a great walk it's on my list to do and looks like a few Woodlands you could stealth camp in on route. I drive the 9 and 9A that goes through Sidmouth and we used to get 20 minutes layover there so would go for a short walk down to the beach😁👍
That's a good spot for a break. Yeah probably a good spot for a stealth camp up there. Hopefully we can do the next bit soon too. Does the 157 come out of your depot?
Why not mate. You never know, you may even get Carl driving you back lol. Probably one of his routes. That's the point though to a certain extent. I could walk quite a lot further than this as i know you can. But I'd really like to encourage those that don't think they could to actually have a go and experience the pleasures of being out in the great outdoors. Was going to watch your latest video last night but got too tired. Will probably watch tonight mate.
Thanks for the informative video Joe. I booked a holiday to Landram Bay yesterday because we had a holiday voucher from our last years holiday being cancelled due to covid. The voucher was due to expire on 30/12/20 so Hopefully this holiday won't be cancelled too. Happy New year to you and I hope it's much better than 2020
Thanks Mathew. Let's hope it is a better year and you can indeed go to Ladrum Bay. I think you'll love it there. Admittedly I only walked around the outskirts but it looks like a perfect family holiday spot. We have a holiday voucher to use too and now you mention it I'd better check when it expires. Thanks again for watching and take care.
Coming from budleigh, you get to big car park then need to follow path around estuary, that's about up to 3miles in itself by the time you are away back in the path slightly uphill( I camped nr some conifer trees other side ov estuary
Before this walk the last time I'd been to Beer I was 13 so definitely forgot how lovely it is. I definitely plan to return and make a film just around Beer.
That's a fair point. I really struggled with the sound on this one. Tried some new things and generally I don't think they worked but hopefully put out a not too bad film anyway. I'm still at the beginning of my UA-cam journey so the best is still to come. Thanks for taking the time to watch and for your honest comment.
Budleigh is definitely quieter but beautiful. Its a shame i didn't get time to walk through it that day. I have another walk planned that will go right through Budleigh and hopefully will be able to do that early in the new year.
@@JoeCoastal I grew up in Budleigh and did the path to Sidmouth many times, usually to get to the Sidmouth Folk Festival! The path from Sidmouth to Budleigh carries on through Budleigh High Street (grab an ice cream from the Creamery) you then bear left and find yourself back on the coastal path which will take you all the way to Exmouth.
I visited Budleigh and walked to Exmouth and back a couple of years ago before I started filming my walks. I was very impressed with Budleigh. It's got a lovely feel about the place and i plan to go back fairly soon if circumstances allow.

Thanks Robert. It gets into your blood doesn't it. I'm lucky enough to be able to get out there regularly 😁

Sounds like a nice camping spot
I went from budleigh to ladram bay, I stopped at 19.00+ brandy head, very hot it was,. Last summer.
Had a welcome coffee on the holiday park at ladram bay shop.
Would have liked to have stopped at ladrum bay myself but time did not allow. Looked like a great place for a family holiday though.
Beer is a nice place, I know this coast over 30 years..
