Thats easy. Get a piece of plot. Heat it up so it gets red hot. You want to layer the plot by folding it to spread out any imperfections it has as evenly as possible. Repeat this several times. Layers double each time.
After layering, you want to create plot plates from the plot bar. Do this by again heating the plot and then rolling it out to a plate. You then cut the required parts from the plate, and forge the plot armor like any other armor. Make sure the plot fits the character perfectly, almost as if both character and plot depend on each other for existance.
After that, you should now have plot armor. The leftover plot material is what happens to mildly interesting side characters (Moonlit black cats). Due to not depending on the survival of its user, the unmodified plot can and will try to kill its user.
