This is one of my favorite episodes of any wrestling podcast. Steve and Ric in the same room just jaw jacking about the old days for their respective eras is solid gold. The stories about Race and Slater never grow old.

Rest in peace Superstar Billy Graham who just passed away at 79. He'd been struggling with his health for so long. A legend who influenced many including both Ric and Steve, here.

Love to hear Ric Flair stories from the late 70's and 80's. He came up with some of the toughest badass wrestlers ever. Harley Race and Blackjack in a hotel room drunken fight. Traveling the country with them, Wahoo, Andre The Giant, Dick Murdoch and Dusty Rhodes. No wonder Ric was so good on the mic and in the ring

Unfortunately a lot of people put the spotlight on 1995-2001, so a lot of interesting stories, matches ect from other years don't explored as much.

This podcast is excellent, but it is 8 years old. I am wondering if Ric got tired of his podcast again. I actually liked his prior podcast with Mark Madden. I like this podcast with Conrad, but it needs freshning up.

I get it this podcast was done in 2016. We are talking about flair and Steve Austin who have been around television production for the last 50 years in some capacity and they all just use audio. Nobody smartens Steve up to Skype or zoom these days. The same with bischoff , he just recently figured out what UA-cam is for. This way Dutch already has 85,000 followers. This is a great interview but come on put a match up or just use your phone guys. It’s sad. Ric should not have a podcast. If you want to watch a great podcast with great stories and even better guests go to stories with Briscoe and Bradshaw. Even Dutch Mantell although him and flair have heat his show is great

Ric to Steve, " You wrestled Bret and Shawn in iron man matches right"? "You started wrestling in 1991 right"? " I went back to WCW in 1992". Have another drink Ric, it'll help your memory, and yes I know this Austin interview was years ago, and that makes it even worse actually.

When you're in your 70's I hope you can remember everything from 30+ years ago word for word. Good luck with that

@@davidloman7474 Yes I realize that being his age memory problems are to be expected, and in the case of most anyone else I wouldn't be sarcastic. However, in the case of Ric Flair he has been so dishonest and disrespectful to so many other people for decades he deserves a bit of harsh criticism. Say like taking 14,000 dollars from a small struggling promotion like roh and then never making one appearance as was the deal, and then not repaying one dime back for instance. Or how about telling the gullible people who bought his last match if they didn't like it they can F off. Or say betraying a friend of over three decades like Mark Madden just because you can. Or the thousands of other examples.
