  • Dr. Locrao ( @DrLocrao) is an incredible physical therapist located in Pasadena California. He has been a mentor and resource to myself as well as so many others.
    When it comes to the Markow Training Systems approach we strongly believe in employing a systems approach that includes multiple systems. Having multiple tools in your toolbox is the best way to help the individual you are working with.
    We were fortunate enough to film with Dr Locrao on how he integrates multiple systems. We were also able to go through some intraabdominal pressure assessments.

    Great video and Dr. Locrao is learning all 3 techniques are impressive.
    I saw an article that is posted by PRI that mentioned using the balloon blow techniques can slow down the exhalation phase and the resisted exhalation helps to increase the INTRA ABDOMINAL PRESSURE (IAP).
    Maybe that is a similar idea to the core belt.

      Thanks for watching. Both the balloon and belt are ways to improve IAP but they do work quite different. Worth trying both in my opinion

    Ah thanks Ian! Since I saw your video with Kyle the other day I've been researching PRI to figure out what exactly it is and where it fits in so to speak so this is AWESOME thank you!
    I'm left wanting more.... any recommendations? Also... your question right at the end was super interesting... which is the best way, in your opinion to look at it... PRI or Thomas? Mind linking me to your original research references?

    Thankyou for this amazing video! Have been contemplating taking these courses for a while but was confused which one to go with...also what are your thoughts on Dr.Bernard Bricot's theory of Eye-Feet coordination with the Brain for Posture Correction?

    Hi Ian, I followed the DNS system for a while but when I discovered PRI from you, the way create iap is completely different now. Would it be safe to say that with the PRI system iap is increased with less expansion of the abdominal wal compare the DNS system because we need to maintain ZOA?
