One thing Jakarta's MRT (and the TransJakarta BRT) stations could use are more fare gates. It can take a couple minutes to get in or out of a station from the backup of passengers, especially since the concept of using a prepaid transit card (i.e. Jak Lingko and e-money bank cards) instead of one-time tickets is also relatively new.
It's strange Jakarta MRT opted for 3'6" cape gauge instead of standard gauge like in their LRT. I suspect this is because they're looking into linking MRT with KRL network and introduce through service in the future like in Tokyo Metro and JR.
You should know, Indonesian companies in the railway sector such as PT INKA are the largest railway companies in Southeast Asia. You cooperated with South Korea to finance the LRT project and improve the quality of the trains.
