  • Clip of what to expect on one of our Natural Terrain Skills Days in the Peak District.
This one takes place around the Lady Cannings / Blacka Moor area, where we warm up loosening up our cornering and pumping skills on the 'Blue Steel' and 'Cooking on Gas' trails before heading out in search of steeper, loose n rocky terrain, including the infamous Devils Elbow descent. You'll be guided and coached all the way, building your skillset one trail section at a time. The day is not about 'speed' it's about 'flow' building your skill set and confidence so you get the most out of every trail you ride.
Being the Peak District any descent equals an accent, with the Blacka Hill being one of the toughest around, especially the final section where a keen eye for a line choice and some nifty slow speed skills are needed to complete it with no dabs.
A short hop over Totley Moor and we hit the ultra-fast (just how fast is up to you) White Edge Moor descent before chilling out as we 'be nice and say hi' whilst riding through the beautiful Longshaw Estate to the coffee shop and facilities.
From here we have a short road to Houndkirk Road, a wide bridleway that climbs to the edge of the Sheffield City Limits, with awesome views and some fast, loose rocky sections to negotiate on our way back to Lady Cannings. For the final hurrah, you get to shred your favorite trail back to the car park.
Those who still have the legs or battery power can continue to ride the trails as they see fit :-)
Full days riding and coaching, covering approx 15 miles and 2000 - 2500 ft of ascending and descending.
