Rewatching this interview 2 1/2 years later... as the show is poised to go off the air after 100 episodes... you did it, guys, you did it. You achieved everything you hoped for and so much more.
So, the show is on an amazing phase, according to Josh's standards. So funny with Anna saying that Peter came back and she didn't and they all laugh. Amazing cast!
I doubt someone would produce it that way, if there came a spin off it would be a) about the lost cases of FRINGE b) something like a new Team refering back to the old one as done with STAR TREK - I would hope it involved either the daughter or the nice of Olivia. But my hopes for S.T. VOYAGER also got blown. I had hoped that its Captain would be Savik, Spocks ward, instead the developers had created mostly new figures.
Why would people say Anna and Josh didn't get along? It sure doesn't look like it here and I don't think they had both stayed on for five seasons if they didn't like each other.. Not that it matters anymore, but still :P
I think the desire for them to be real life lovers (mimicking their screen roles) influenced people's conjecture. I doubt seriously they had any real life animosity or coolness towards each other but by the same token I also think their lives in private precluded them from being "an item." That doesn't mean they weren't friends or friendly throughout the five seasons and perhaps beyond. I think all of the cast members got along to one degree or another. By the fifth year I think Anna was feeling the strain of doing a long series and was looking for taking a break which in fact she (and Josh) did for a period after the show concluded. That strain may have shown off camera. She was tired and she was living away from home. I think it is testament to their brilliant acting in Fringe to make it so convincing on screen that they were in love with each other that people became disappointed that it did not carry over into real life. Maybe they will work together again someday but I doubt it. The job they did creating their on screen personas was so strong as to make any other tv/movie roles difficult to accept in viewers minds. I know if I were a producer this would figure in my mind. The deeply emotional Peter/Olivia relationship stereotyped them as a couple. Besides if it were really true some gossip columnist would have picked up on it which has never happened.

I love this interview. Amongst all the rumours of Josh and Anna not getting along, they seem to really respect each other here.
they are just amazing actors, I love them, and the series its just such an incredible world.
He called her Annie.... Oh... And in an other interview he said "cutest thing" Oh... But they don't get along? I think that's all crap!

Judging by how excited I was to see Altlivia in the promo for the finale, I'd say they achieved their goals. I love these people and I love Fringe.

i honestly didnt ship them at first, he did look good with alternate liv but they grew on me tbh
