I must say seeing all the “Sigma male” Patrick Bateman supercuts really brings home the satire of American Psycho. He got the approval he always wanted 😂 as a “get ready with me” instagram model
To answer "Why are villains romanticized?", my takeaway from this video would be "We see or want to see ourself in the villain because they symbolize a certain quality to us."
I thought Tate was a bad guy like everyone else too then I actually sat down to listen with an open mind to what he's saying and despite the world painting him as this bad guy. He has a point and demonstrates it through examples and clearly defined explanations. So I find people who classify him as this bad dude to be more of a Follow-the-Herd Kind of Crowd who don't do their own thinking. Tate can be very motivating and inspirational to the point where I attribute partial credit to why I started working out and got into the best shape and best mindset I've been in my whole life.
I don't see how. The way I see it, he's the last gasp of a degenerate movement that demands men possess money, power, cars, and all the women they can get their hands on. He also seems to take a liking to insulting those he deems beneath him, Something that a child understands to be wrong after a time. He also has said, on many occasions, that he believes women to be his property. It is true he has said things that we can all agree on, but far better people than him have said the same things, and promoted far better behaviors.
Tate is hateful and delusional and I hope you find a way to get out of his wake. It’s a little ironic you’re saying those who classify him as bad are the follow the herd type when that’s the personality type people like Tate depend on to have followers. You don’t see many scholarly figures professing Tate as some positive figure in society… his followers are mostly single, lonely, young guys with no sense of purpose or integrity. To follow someone who is so blatantly angry with the world, with delusions about the matrix (which I don’t believe he believes, it’s just another selling point), someone who admitted to taking his own followers money, exploiting them, by faking conversations on onlyfans (he legit said he and his friends would give the hot girls on camera a fake keyboard while they would have the real keyboard and be talking to these lonely guys to get more money out of these lonely men). Tate is good at one thing, being a salesman. He’s selling a lie, the same lie many many many other “life coaches” sell. Do this and then you’ll be happy. And look man if it works for you and you don’t fall into the whole woman hating category where all you expect is a trad wife or whatever it’s called, if you only get benefits out of it then I am happy for you. But be careful. It’s a slippery slope and all salesman want only one thing from you, your time. In the form of your attention or your money. I hope you can find something in the real world and not the manosphere to make you happy. And this isn’t a personal attack I just find all snake oil salesman like Tate sad. They have always existed and will always exist in one form or another, finding needy people who are missing something in their life they claim to be able to fulfill. For a short time.
That's how they get you: sprinkle in some obviously true things among their inane bs to make you think "well they're right about that, so what if they're also right about the rest."
We envy people who have the will and the means to take action because most of us lack both. Villains usually have both of these things.
I couldn’t have said it any better 🙌🏼

Because they have the ability to do it. Riding their Own Human Nature.
Lalo was extremely funny, that is why people liked him!
Being funny goes hand in hand with his charisma and confidence 👍🏼
Great vid
Thank you!

I dislike the romanticization of villains.
