as someone who picks hanabi when playing mm, i was a little put off by the lack of spread on her ult, the 1st skill's high cd, and the fact that they silently nerfed several of her stats. however, seeing the bounce on the 2nd skill and ult changes things a lot. she can clear lanes faster now and as you say in the vid the ult can catch the backline if you just hit the front. excited to play her now!

1. The removal of her ability to sustain through her innate Lifesteal pushed her down quite hard. its either trading her battle spells for sustainability or for escape. Thoughts on the new Hanabi: I have used her pre-revamp a lot and I can confidently say that the new her is "not worse". Compared to her old self, she is definitely much better, including gameplay and overall lore and design. But of course there are still problems with her new gameplay, they changed it so that her old gimmick now applies to all of her skills, and attacks. The problem are the cooldowns of her skills. Why're they so long? Terizla has shorter cooldowns than her. Her mana consumption is also a problem, because they changed her 1st skill, which previously used all her mana, she basically has infinite mana now because of how long her cooldowns are. Her 2nd skill CAN be better if they lowered it's absurdly long cooldown. Overall, the new Hanabi IS better but not that much better than her old one. They removed her shield passive which was what made her good.
@@raymondramos1502 you can still check it, becuase it can still bounce to enemies inside the bush even though you threw the kunai at the minions or something.
My opinion from the new Hanabi: 1.) They should atleast make her first skill shield permanent like chang'e's second skill or reduce the first skill cd for every attack like moscov's passive or reduce the first skill cd because seriously, 18 seconds?? We want Hanabi to have more chance to have survivability yet her first skill is kinda useless 2.) They should put back the ult spread when the ult is missed, I think it's better when the ulti skill is missed the ult spread will activate, but when the ult skill hit an enemy the spread will not activate, I want hanabi to have a chance to atleast immobilize and scare enemies because missing it is such a waste unless they put the ulti spread back . 3.) I also notice some of her skins got nerfed so bad. I think they should put it back when her first skill is active her first skill got that enhanced basic attack effect like Rakshesha or Field Op because seriously, the rakshesha skin is not woth it to be called "epic" when they literally just remove the best effect from hanabi which is her first skill enhance basic attack where her Weapon gets bigger. (This is only my opinion)
I agree with you especially in number 1 reducing of CD every basic attack is such a great idea since it has a high CD and it's just even a mobility skill ☠️
I think builds that emphasize attack effects are now more valuable for Hanabi than the traditional crit build, though crit build does still have its advantages. Hanabi's bounces can each now trigger attack effects, and with the buff to Corrosion Scythe, a build that emphasizes attack effects has the most consistent damage against enemies with different defensive levels. Crit items tend to kill squishy heroes without any problems but are more heavily countered by proper defensive items like Blade Armor. Corrosion Scythe + Demon Hunter Sword is a more consistent and well-rounded build, which is particularly valuable because she isn't just targeting the squishy heroes, and you aren't in control of who her bounces hit either. Critical builds are still very potent though, because of the marking effect of her second skill that prevents her damage from being reduced on bounces. My testing hasn't come out with a definitive winner between the two builds, so for now I'll just leave it up to player preference.
I really like old Hanabi and Athena Shield combo. With Hanabi's passive and Athena shield, her shield absorption became 30%-40% of her max HP. For those who forgot the effect of the Item "Athena's Shield" back then. It gives the hero a shield that absorbs any damge every 30seconds. 450-1150 shield depending on how long the game match is. And for me Hanabi was unkillable since she can't be cc unless she got burst by high damage.
as a Hanabi main, I kinda find her weird to understand at first, but at the end me and a teammate Carmilla did a maniac from nowhere so...we lost because other than me and Carmilla the team was stupid, but that was unexpected, we were some levels behind and still did a maniac
There are pros and cons about it. The old hanabi, you can poke enemies with bounce skill by hitting minion to tower to heroes or turn off the bounce skill to solo tower push Now the revamped Hanabi, you can either pick one. To push tower or to hit hero. You can’t do minion > hero > tower > hero in a safe distance or hero > tower > hero > tower. People see it as a buff but it’s actually nerf from the old hanabi. Old Hanabi can easily dominate the tower range. Any enemy heroes will afraid to hug tower due to the bounce effect of Hanabi. Just like Luna Dota. It’s actually very OP if you know how to zone enemies with tower. Dang!
due to her adjustments with controllable shield/immunity, she can be used to initiate a teamfight (if any ally is being chased) her turn-around mechanic is buffed at most, but her skill activation (soul scroll and higanbana) is nerfed so it's a balanced to me... she's also squishy af
Tried the new Hanabi and I can honestly say she's even worse now. 1st skill is an inferior version of her passive and her ult is now worse thanks to no zoning and just disappears on a miss. Overall, I don't enjoy playing her now at all. At least with her old kit I had fun, but now it's like trying to eat a bowl of glass.
@@ashura516 i mean why do you want an op hero i would say she is balance not a toxic pick not a ban pick just a average pick , the Devs can now increase her basic attributes according to meta like they r doing with alucard and stuff like that later on
One thing also i found out that when basic attack the minions if there is a enemy hero nearby it will bounce to it even when they are hiding in the bush
I feel like the main problem I had with her was her base basic attack dmg in the early game, compared to layla and miya they also had the same problem until they got revamped. Hanabi has gotten a revamp and I have to say she is better! Although I am a bit disappointed to see her basic attack damage being really low in the early to mid game. (For reference when elgin said time to take revenge on zilong he wasn’t able to kill him despite him being combod by both hanabi and atlas)
@@Isoolated_Irli’m not saying i want her dmg to be like the old beatrix but just for it to be slightly increased, think about what I said before replying!
Sad thing about her 1st skill, it wears off. They should’ve left it until it breaks so that hanabi won’t use it as a initial skill when attacking. The immunity will be possibly gone when you need it.
I think hanabi could still use a few adjustments to make her viable. -Revert range nerf -Decrease CD on skill1 but decrease duration -Convert shield to hp after skill1 ends to mimic old life steal
Yup, they're trying so hard to at least make Odette more popular in the game but honestly I like the leaping Odette more than the ult-then-dash Odette. Leaping Odette can dash through walls but the newer version can't. They should've just added an extra leap to the leaping Odette. If they don't want to give her immunity during ult, I think two leaps won't hurt. This way, she'll be more mobile, same with Valentina plus I think she'll be picked more.
Also i can Solo kill using her with the help of Insire also if you press Turet basic attack to push the turret her passive is not bounce so your 100% not detected
I think the normal attack not bouncing after hitting the tower is so that when you focus on the tower you don't hit the heroes so you don't get the agro from the tower.
looking at the splash arts side by side, it looked like Hanabi went on a diet: longer neck, more pronounced collarbone, and most importantly, a boba nerf...
As a main hanabi user, for me elgin it feels like I prefer the old hanabi. I think she becomes more weaker, the range is shorter and she’s slower than before. It’s my opinion only.
I'm just in love with the revamp she received... The only down i see if the lifesteal and mana recover that they removed, but they had to balance her and i understand that.
As a hanabi main I do like the new one altough there are a few points that I think should be different First of all I think her passive and her 1 skill should be in one Passively when learned you get bouch active you get the shield And maybe give her a passive that helps her with her lack of movement Secondly hanabi isn't effected much from life steal items compared to Layla or myia so I always felt like building it on her felt kinda useless so her build in life steal reduce removal is kind of a down Those are the 2 things I think could have done better but overal it's a step in the right direction
The downside of her revamp is her basic attack effects looks so bland, they should have kept the old enhanced basic attack effects and they murdered her collector skin and time limited epic skin, the effects now look like a common special skin.
They really are insisting on heroes keeping up their niches on their roles, uh...Still, I'm quite happy with this since the "Bounce" mechanic of Hanabi is in her Core Gameplay now. Uh, wouldn't Carmilla be a good partner for her then?
As an hanabi user or Marksman user I don't recommend using attack speed build in hanabi , what I recommend is using the critical build because it deal more damage and you can solo lord faster. Revamp hanabi is giving me hard time to adjust because of the skill change especially the second skill ,hanabi old second skill have more advantage at checking the tall grass
I think they should make her 1st skill permanent just like chang'e's 2nd skill and make it unusable when the shield get destroyed just like zhask 1st skill after killing his ult so the shield won't be abused
The revamp is fine, the only thing i was disappointed is the skill effects especially the effect on her weapon when skill 1 is activated. I miss the old effect when i use my rakshesha and collector skin.
Honestly i feel she is still so-so with a full crit build after using her revamped version a few times. It makes me think she needs more physical penetration. I hope the devs can increase the width/hit box of the ultimate so it's easier (but not too easy) to hit enemies with it. They can also decrease the cooldown of her 1st skill because it's unforgivingly long hahahah
I've tried the revamped version on Ori Server, she's so much better than before revamp, and DHS + GS + CS build are viable for her now, makes her more versatile in item build. I think she's well balanced since she can die easily by one shot combo
This is really good. Hanabi has finally gain some respect again with this new revamp as Hanabi is one of the slowest and hardest MM to carry in early and mid. With this build she is able to stand a chance against pro MM like Beatrice, Melissa, Wanwan whom are all meta favourites.
As Hanabi main revamp damage still can't keep up in the early game and even on the late game. The permanent shield was gone and the spread of her ult. Pls Moonton consider them back 🥺
16 second cooldown of first skill at level 15 very realistic revamp done by developers. Some hero's has 16 second ultimate. That's why people were asking for dash skill and with inspire she will be way better.
I'd like you to make a video on the new adjustments on Natan. I can't find the correct emblem and builds for him. I'm just used with his physical build but it doesn't seem to work anymore
Bloomed a little than the old one. But this revamp is not enough for Hanabi to enter the Meta. A marksman without atleast escaping skill like Dash/Blink/Debuff would not shine in High Tier Rank. I know Hanabi is good at team fights because of the splash basic, but I'd rather pick Miya it is because of her escaping mechanism skill which you can easily position yourself unlike Hanabi when a team fight starts it's like all or nothing thing fight. I think devs should give Hanabi a Dash or Blink skill since she is a Ninja which is common to them.
My biggest concern before was pushing towers with the new passive if it always bounces from towers to heroes. Welp, if it doesn't then the plan is simple spam Hanabi.

Wrong. This is worse, 2nd skill is for slow and checking bush... Now they can easily attack her while hiding in the bush.
@@raymondramos1502 you can still check it, becuase it can still bounce to enemies inside the bush even though you threw the kunai at the minions or something.
i used her in rank, the cooldowns for her skills are terrible
Ult damage garbage
@@chiaraagain super long. I actually think pre revamp hanabi has better survivability
My opinion from the new Hanabi:
1.) They should atleast make her first skill shield permanent like chang'e's second skill or reduce the first skill cd for every attack like moscov's passive or reduce the first skill cd because seriously, 18 seconds?? We want Hanabi to have more chance to have survivability yet her first skill is kinda useless
2.) They should put back the ult spread when the ult is missed, I think it's better when the ulti skill is missed the ult spread will activate, but when the ult skill hit an enemy the spread will not activate, I want hanabi to have a chance to atleast immobilize and scare enemies because missing it is such a waste unless they put the ulti spread back .
1:46 seems like I'm not the only one having those weird ingame hero models huh 😂
I like it how vexana is just T posing the whole gane
2:25 Vexana T-posing is the best thing I've seen today
2:22 pov: vexana
It would be nice if they also make her passive just like Odette's where her basic attack can bounce on herself, it would be good in 1v1 situation....
HAHA at 01:15 . I think they did not mention in the revamp too that Vexana will walk like a mannequin if she is near Hanabi. 😂😂😂
There are pros and cons about it.
The old hanabi, you can poke enemies with bounce skill by hitting minion to tower to heroes or turn off the bounce skill to solo tower push
Now the revamped Hanabi, you can either pick one.
Dang!
@Elgin what's the "ok" circle thingy appearing on your screen?
due to her adjustments with controllable shield/immunity, she can be used to initiate a teamfight (if any ally is being chased)
her turn-around mechanic is buffed at most, but her skill activation (soul scroll and higanbana) is nerfed so it's a balanced to me... she's also squishy af
The absorption of the tower on her basic attack just makes sense, she won't be the turret's focus when pushing.
I love the new hanabi, makes me feel like a ninja too with her first skill and her fast movements, I love the revamp.
Her ult is so hard to land other than that she is really good
True, it disappear when it doesn't hit on enemy
For me she's still weak because she is still easy to counter like if the enemy is using hanabi I'll use Brody
@@ashura516 i mean why do you want an op hero i would say she is balance not a toxic pick not a ban pick just a average pick , the Devs can now increase her basic attributes according to meta like they r doing with alucard and stuff like that later on
@@hkrishnananda2350 Weak ML players want every hero to have dash and to be op as heck...those kind of players have pretty much skill issue
Did anybody notice Vexana standing like a stick ?
One thing also i found out that when basic attack the minions if there is a enemy hero nearby it will bounce to it even when they are hiding in the bush
Hey elgin please do a video regarfing to m4, And the math on getting prime skin. haha Thank you
The turret absorbing the petal bounce means I can focus attack the turret without worrying about bounces giving me turret aggro, so yay.
Because he is using crit build. For better early game do corrosion + demon + golden combo
My man want early damage also late damage 😂😂
@@Isoolated_Irli’m not saying i want her dmg to be like the old beatrix but just for it to be slightly increased, think about what I said before replying!
Sad thing about her 1st skill, it wears off. They should’ve left it until it breaks so that hanabi won’t use it as a initial skill when attacking. The immunity will be possibly gone when you need it.
Like Chang'e
5 seconds is too little, for a 18 seconds cooldown skill, it's shit.
Edit: and a lot of CC skills deal damage more than her shield.
@@theflyingwhale5778 or they could’ve make it like moscov’s first skill where the Cd reduces when attacking.
It wil be OP. It will make every setting tank useless in ganking her.
It would be tad better if it also didn't give shit mov speed and is actually high
I think hanabi could still use a few adjustments to make her viable. -Revert range nerf
-Decrease CD on skill1 but decrease duration
-Convert shield to hp after skill1 ends to mimic old life steal
Hanabi's first skill was all the Odette players dream
Sadly Moneytoon dont agree
Yup, they're trying so hard to at least make Odette more popular in the game but honestly I like the leaping Odette more than the ult-then-dash Odette. Leaping Odette can dash through walls but the newer version can't. They should've just added an extra leap to the leaping Odette. If they don't want to give her immunity during ult, I think two leaps won't hurt. This way, she'll be more mobile, same with Valentina plus I think she'll be picked more.
1:19 if hanabi's basic atk bounced after hitting the turret, it would be triggered to attack
Also i can Solo kill using her with the help of Insire also if you press Turet basic attack to push the turret her passive is not bounce so your 100% not detected
I have a high hope to see all her skin revamp just just other revamped hero , but they didn’t do anything at all and nerf the effects instead .
@@zackzoom8779 but the range is shorter it’s hard to fight for some heroes like fighters
@@zackzoom8779 and the shield, my god it’s useless and cd is too long
@@radthenurse8329 1 shot from a Lesley with berserker's is enough to destroy the shield🥲
I THINK THEY REVAMPED IT FOR HER LANING CAPABILITIES SO THAT SHE CAN SOLO HER GOLD LANE
one thing hanabi lost is that, the skins wont give a cool effect anymore while using her first skill
Zilong: ah revamped hanabi, our fight will be legendary!
Elgin talk about hanabi meanwhile vexana is chilling out T posing
I'm just in love with the revamp she received... The only down i see if the lifesteal and mana recover that they removed, but they had to balance her and i understand that.
Hahaha 😂😂😂 what happened to Vexanna?! At 4:54 did she git resurrected?!
The revamp is good nothing major for her to join the current meta. As an old Hanabi main I'm now enjoying playing Clint.
As a hanabi main I do like the new one altough there are a few points that I think should be different
First of all I think her passive and her 1 skill should be in one
Passively when learned you get bouch active you get the shield
And maybe give her a passive that helps her with her lack of movement
Secondly hanabi isn't effected much from life steal items compared to Layla or myia so I always felt like building it on her felt kinda useless so her build in life steal reduce removal is kind of a down
Those are the 2 things I think could have done better but overal it's a step in the right direction
SHE NEEDS A DASH SKILL. MOONTOON GET YOUR HEAD TOGETHER.
I try hanabi as critical damage and it was too weak. So I used new attack speed items to help my game. It works well.
yea, tried it with a enemy hanabi with full damage build,it seems like it didnt work very well.
I think you should use her second skill to mark enemy so the crit damage can bounce too.... Maybe it can make crit build better
@@shining3759 no i think critical damage can't bounce back.
@@IAARPOTI man...that's suck
@@IAARPOTI what do you mean?
Honestly i feel she is still so-so with a full crit build after using her revamped version a few times. It makes me think she needs more physical penetration. I hope the devs can increase the width/hit box of the ultimate so it's easier (but not too easy) to hit enemies with it. They can also decrease the cooldown of her 1st skill because it's unforgivingly long hahahah
I've tried the revamped version on Ori Server, she's so much better than before revamp, and DHS + GS + CS build are viable for her now, makes her more versatile in item build. I think she's well balanced since she can die easily by one shot combo
Hi Elgin, is it possible to get the former M-skins in the pass shop with just the normal pass?
7:05 T pose vexana
They also nerf the immobilize of her ult from 2 sec to 0.8
This is really good. Hanabi has finally gain some respect again with this new revamp as Hanabi is one of the slowest and hardest MM to carry in early and mid. With this build she is able to stand a chance against pro MM like Beatrice, Melissa, Wanwan whom are all meta favourites.
Hoi Elgin,
Any idea why M4 event is not in the advance server yet?
Giving me Sivir vibes from LOL. I am glad with this revamp, she can now protect herself in battle.
from hanabi to hanabae :0
As Hanabi main revamp damage still can't keep up in the early game and even on the late game. The permanent shield was gone and the spread of her ult. Pls Moonton consider them back 🥺
one quick question about the m4 pass, does the premium one stay discounted until you buy the next pass or is there a time limit
Have you guys seen in [0:06] Vexana's buggy running animation on the left side of the game screen?
Lol epic bug
16 second cooldown of first skill at level 15 very realistic revamp done by developers. Some hero's has 16 second ultimate. That's why people were asking for dash skill and with inspire she will be way better.
what is the "OK" coming out near the wind chant icon..??
I'm waiting for Elgin's video on M4 pass
She needs cd reduction on her first skill when her petals bounce (similar to moskov)
I'd like you to make a video on the new adjustments on Natan. I can't find the correct emblem and builds for him. I'm just used with his physical build but it doesn't seem to work anymore
5:39 vexana be like:🧍
Lmaoo💀💀
Love the revamped hanabiii!! I think the revamped hanabiii is much better🤩🤩 I love your videos keep it up ❤️
Bloomed a little than the old one.
After she has a few items on her she is an excellent lane clearer. I also noticed she attacked faster
I always forgot to use her 1st skill when in team fights, still not used to it
My biggest concern before was pushing towers with the new passive if it always bounces from towers to heroes. Welp, if it doesn't then the plan is simple spam Hanabi.
Is this ori Or advanced server... I really like the tap below map that shows us our achieved items so far... Really good details there for me
