I am forever grateful that I have this performance to return to again and again and again. With your passing, Debbie, I keep comin' back to think about you, to sing along with you, surrounded, too, by such talent. You are the best of the best! Your forever groupie in Minneapolis
RIP Debbie...........will miss you a lot!
Debbie Duncan knows how to swing it !!!!!! treat to my ears,
Show that angelic choir how it's done, Debbie. Swing in peace, amazing lady.
This wonderful woman could sing to me anytime, she's terrific!
Stumbled across this by accident... Glad I did :-)
Best version... I'd say she owns this song. Keyboard and bass rock also.
I have to do this song for my Performance exam... and her version is incredible. Thank you Debbie..
Debbie is amazing, a Twin city staple for years, a real treasure

Twin Cities got it going on....
What a fantastic video. I really enjoyed it. I was looking for a new version to sing for my CD and I can't possibly duplicate this and wouldn't try. Debbie is superb. Gave me a lot of good thoughts about where my version will go. Thanks for a great start. (missed the ending) donna-singer
Baby, you are massa!!!
Fantastic! I believe I had the opportunity to see her back in the late 70's in The Valley of Los Angeles, California. She left a real impression on me. Now I stumbled onto her tonight on my iPad. I am living in Ghana now & keeping Jazz Alive here. I would love to somehow get her here for a workshop & concert! That would be awesome ! I would also love more videos of Debbie Duncan to use as examples in the Vocal workshops I plan to teach. Please let me know if I can get some. My mail
YES you have been graced by Debbie Duncan , who was an inspiring singer with a beautiful and versatile voice versed in many styles, from pop RB dance to warm stylistic jazz as here.
Hailing from Detroit i had the fortune to playing sax in an RB dance and jazz lounge band with her that gigged in Japan then moved to So Calif, To follow up a record deal with Warner Bros. I will never forget when Debbie would bring me and the audience to tears and the ground with her rendition of Stormy Monday. She could tell a story. You probably know by now she has passed.. Carry On her spirit with your teaching!
Sweet and smooth style - for a great song
LOVE HER
Nice!
YESSSSSSSS!!
Yes...swingin'...
Don't do any bodies line fer God sake. Have inspiration from it. Have your soul. Music comes from the heart. I'm not having a go. I remember when I started singing, Sarah Vaughn was my Lady. Listen to the Beautiful lines, steal a few that's how music goes. Seriously, we could all steal a wee line from this Woman. I'm I jazz singer from Ireland. Do great scat. I Love her tone. Just Wonderful
Send in the Critics. If you don't like this version, listen to another one. There are enough to go around for everyone.
Ah, Debbie...there is no other.......
Además se interrumpe el video, agradezco subirlo nuevamente completo. Thanks
beautifull :)
WOW she really swings but just found her and now she's dead. great piano
Yeah.....swingin'.....
ihana biisi ja sitäkin ihanempi nainen !
A pitty that the song is not complete. It is suddenley cut. Could you please try to publish it complete? Thank you
What happened to the end of this video? It got cut off mid song at 4:46????
Same here. Great version but disappointed about the cut-off before the finish
I'm a pop/rock/country/classical keyboard guy. Is there a fake sheet somewhere showing what the keyboard lady is doing here? I hear it's in F major, haven't tried to hear the 'chords' and runs yet, or her left hand. Thanks. Meantime, I'll keep tryin' by ear!
Math Person Real book maybe? That's Mary Jane Knutson, one of Minneapolis' finest, on keys :)
Only half of the song?! what a pity!!!
El scat de Debbie no me convence. Mucho mejor Sussanah Mc Corkle dentro del espiritu de la canción I thought about you, muy melódico. No es canción para hacert tanto scat.
Lousy performance. Nancy Wilson's version is superior.
YESSSSSSSS!!
