I tried GMing for the first time as a one shot in a "one shot campaign" we have, with friends who are all more experienced than me at DnD. Basically we have rolled up for fun characters and everyone GMs sometimes - so everyone else gets a chance to play. The characters are all pretty hilarious and as a result nobody takes the game too seriously. This makes for great roleplaying between the characters and for a very light mood. My story wasn't incredible and my knowledge of mechanics is also rather full of gaps, but everyone was super encouraging and playing it was so much fun. It really made me happy to have tried and wish to try again. Thank you for the tips!
Lovley videos I’m currently on the prowl through a few of them I really enjoy the in-depth step by step nature of this content it allows my adhd brain to calm down when stressing about building a entire world and realize there is no need to write this entire world if they only want to explore one part of it so I think for my upcoming session I will definitely focus less on the broader world and more on how and where the players will likely interact appreciate the work 😊
@@dragonmindttrpgsI’m not picky and when your passionate about what you’re talking about it will always show and so far evey video feels brimming with passion to the hobby and that passionate vibe will definitely keep me tuned in to any future upload but if your talking specifics I’d love to see a video on your approach session prep and any more words of wisdom for aspiring DMs I’ve seen 10s of hours of videos on dnd and yours have definitely felt the most relaxing when trying to approach my options for my dm endeavors anyway thanks and keep up the amazing content
What’s with this theatre kid degeneration of our hobby? Does the world really need more videos like the ones you’re making regurgitating critical role’s philosophy. Why not make videos that are actually useful to Dungeon Master’s? Conflicts, encounter’s, NPC’s, plot lines, faction’s, trap’s; and one shots for people to insert into their game?
