    I agree with Jill on having the double front doors. Gives it a more grand entry. Love that! Also she mentioned on the Perry home that the laundry room and pantry were on the small side. I feel the same way however I really liked the flow of the house. The tall ceilings make the house look a lot larger than it already is. All of the houses were beautiful and I enjoyed Jill's opinions on what she liked and things she would do differently. 😊

      @houstontexasliving33 i have a very long list, but just off the top of my head.
      Large walk-in closets for every bedroom.
      No double doors on the closets they take up floor space in the rooms.
      Large pantries, no a corner pantry is not large enough.
      Linen closets in all the restrooms.
      No microwaves above the range.
      All counters need to be high as a standard.
      All tubs in master should be at least 7 feet long as a standard.
      No double doors to master restroom.
      All doors throughout the entire house should be handicap width.
      No water heaters or tank less heaters should be in the attic. All should be in the garage.
      Every garage should have a side door to the back yard.
      The ac filter needs to be in an easily accessible area so one can change it once a month easily.
      Kitchen cabinates should go all the way to the ceiling.
      No open upstairs space to the first floor for noise reasons.
      Good dehumidification and cooling of the entire house with no hot spots.

    The prices are absolutely ridiculous
    I live in Eagle Idaho and I know the land per lot may be a bit more expensive than in Houston but not $600,000 per lot!!!!
    It just shows you how in some states and some builders completely try to rip you off while others try to make a buck but in a more affordable way for everybody

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  Місяць тому +1

      That’s a great point - the price differences can be pretty shocking depending on the area! It’s definitely frustrating when land prices seem to skyrocket. Have you considered looking into newer developments or communities further out from the city? Sometimes they offer more affordable options while still providing great amenities. What kind of features are you hoping to find for your budget?

      Well my comment was a year ago and we have decided to just stay where we are.
      We are near downtown Eagle and can walk everywhere.
      Like you said, you either have to move far away to make it worth it if you want to upgrade or have the convenience of being in a walkable area.
      If my family would go along with it I would love to move down to Texas and all those places you're showing me!

    I lived in Houston for 64 years. Born and raised in Houston I had to leave because the town has turned into a death trap. Crime runs rampant and the illegals are shipped in daily. I'm a TRUE TEXAN but Houston has gotten out of hand with all the democratic ways that it is being run. If you do move there, ALWAYS carry a firearm. Good luck!

      @lvbadboy Місяць тому

      For me the location being in New Caney/Porter is still growing and very much working/middle class area. The lack of amenities in that area. You can find much larger homes in that area for that 1 million dollar price. I understand master plan pricing is different ball park but for me the small lot, faux stone finishes outside , floors that aren’t real wood,basic closets, everything seems basic builder grade not custom, its very much standard layout. The finishes throughout are similar to most homes in lesser price range but this just slightly larger square feet. I feel in Houston area for million you can get more house if you look just my personal opinion. Lastly it being a model home I know to get it as shown will be a dramatic increase the final price.

      That’s a great point! A $1M home is definitely not in the budget for everyone, especially with today’s mortgage rates. It’s important to consider affordability when showcasing properties. Would you prefer to see more options in the mid-range, like $400K-$600K homes, or are there specific price points you think are more realistic for most buyers in Texas? I’d love to help focus on what fits your budget and interests!
