Bobby Jay battery life is something that concers me. but the other 2 didnt have to explain amything since they're from the S7.

Honestly what's wrong with 3000-3400 MAh? Even the iPhone 7+ doesn't have 3000 MAh. Considering that the Galaxy S8/S8+ both have a low powered OMLED (LCD consumes like 10x more power than OLED) and have low powered efficient CPU's, there's no point in increasing the battery capacity any further. If they even can, honestly 3000 is a huge capacity to even fit within such phone. Ya'll shouldn't even judge the phone since it's not even out yet.
My phone has 8hrs+ SOT with 3400mAh.

Hey guys~ so the S8/8+ will both come with *EARphones/buds (the ones that sit into your ear, still AKG :) ), if you preorder, it comes with added AKG HEADphones (which cover the ears/has the band) along with the AKG earphones already in the phone box, hope this helped~

From what I know so far. The note line is probably pretty much done. In terms of the name at least. It might be renamed to be apart of Samsung's "S" line instead of its' separate Note line. So it might be called like a Samsung Galaxy S8 pro or something lol.

Wqhd setting is something s7 users know about, the nougat upgrade automatically set resolution to FHD and it's in the actually nougat OS to run at this resolution to save battery etc, not to do with samsung reducing resolution to promote longer battery life In my opinion

AeroCurrent its what happens when content creators try to be the first to release videos without doing full fact checks etc before hand, I love JM but MKBHD and LTT are by far the 2 channels I trust for actual tech reviews because they take longer to release videos but they're generally better informed because they spend time to get the right info rather than getting veiws from the flood of "galaxy s8" UA-cam searches

Do a little bit more research mate. Switching the resolution in the settings is actually a good idea. You have a choice between a gorgeous display with full qhd display or save a little juice and switch it to full hd+ when you need the extra battery life. And no. It's not "same" camera as the S7. The S8 actually uses a new Sony IMX 333 sensor. Also, the s8 should have somewhat of a similar speaker design/layout to that of the HTC 10. The only thing I could have hoped for would have been more ram and a bigger battery. Sure the fingerprint sensor is on the back. But facial recognition or the iris scanner should be a viable alternative.

"I assume the sole reason Samsung is doing this is simply to manage efficiency in terms of power." Nowhere in it did he say it was a good idea. Though we could assume he meant it in a positive way. And no, he said it's the same. he didn't mention it has a" new Sony sensor".He said "No advancements whatsoever in terms of the rear camera." So a new Sony camera sensor isn't considered an advancement? Going from a Sony IMX 260 from the S7 to the new IMX 333 on the S8 isn't an upgrade/advancement? People would assume it's the 'same' as the S7 when in fact, it's not.

Of course it's not exactly the same, but it's still 12 megapixels. Then, there's only one lens while Huawei, LG and iPhone have two lenses. It's really disappointing but I can't wait for another year for a new phone. Can't wait to get the S8 coz I'm using Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 with a cracked screen.

the S8 & S8+ all looks amazing, i hope the performance & durability of the phones are excellent as having that will be tough phone to beat
rashid azzan performance will be great at first but you'll have to stay on top of it to make sure apps you add don't cause lag. The edges won't be durable. One drop and you'll be done for. Former S7 Edge and Note 7 user here.

Aaron Mensah just got the s8 plus today and I love it so much, the things I can do with this phone is crazy. I'm so blown away with the technology in this phone. The resolution looks amazing when watching UA-cam in hdr 1440p. I jumped up from the s6 and it's nuts. Android is master race compared to apple.
Someone did some kind of benchmark and showed that the S8 does have an up to date camera sensor. The specs are the same but it is indeed a later camera sensor and the S8 has already been proven to take even better photos than the S7.

I just went with the s8 active because of the military grade drop resistance and the 4500 milliamp battery (40 hrs estimated on power saving mode but 3 days, 20 hrs with max power saving mode.)

Great video, I was at a Verizon store last week and actually met a Samsung representative who was promoting the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus and she informed me that the speakers were not in stereo. I haven't made up my mind yet but I might hold out before purchasing this phone. I guess I don't really see that great of a difference from the S7. Keep up the good work guys take care.

The 1080p thing is true about the s7 too, when I updated to Nougat I found in the settings it was changed to 1080p

i rooted my phones to get this feature manually. since android have this features "wm size *resolution*". I can save some juice, increased performance or get a crisp display. So not a bug
Flashoons it's not a bug, they included that option on the note 7 as well as with the nougat update on the s7. You can manually go between 720p,1080p and 1440p.

Why Linus in the thumbnail?
1. The camera on the S7 is excellent. 2. The screen being set to a resolution lower than advertised is not an issue as long as it has the capability. 3. Stereo speakers yes or no isn't an issue. It has a headphone jack. You are truly nitpicking aren't you??

if you wanna get updates for the next 3 years and or have iMessage and Facetime definitely the iPhone, but I would not wanna pass on the s8 infinity display. Also if your a big camera nerd the iPhone seems to have more natural looking photos while the s8 has it's saturation blown up, but it compensates for it's better low light performance. I'd say get the iPhone 7. At this point could say the iPhone 8, but I heard it'll be above the thousand dollar mark, so stick with the s8 or i7 instead haha

I just had to laugh at Linus Apple shit and Samsung shit line.
I personally cant confirm it with good references, but i went to a retailer and the seller told me that it does not have stereo speakers. I have a nexus 6p which does have stereo speakers and that is how we came in topic. The seller was at a samsung representative at the retailer.

My new Galaxy 7 Edge from 3 months ago came preset to 1080p instead of 1440p as well. I think it's for maximum battery life. Not a big deal, since the option to enable QHD is there.

Okkie Jansen those don't "consume" Bluetooth. Those are just connected. What Bluetooth 5 can do is, you can pair two Bluetooth headphones at once, which is pretty cool
Okay, I tried it: I opened the camera app on my Apple Watch, which steams the images from the iPhone's camera, I did this while my AirPods were playing music from my iPhone. While the camera was opening I heard the music stutter a little bit, but once the camera was opened and streaming to the Apple Watch the music just continued playing, without stutters.
I wasn't expecting this either, maybe my iPhone streams the images via Wi-Fi to my Apple Watch?

You made a good example about the bluetooth 5.0, it's one of the main reasons my wife and I both have Bose QC35 (they a feature to share audio from one pair of headphones to the other). So I welcome the addition of 5.0, it's a shame that seems OnePlus 5 isn't gonna have it...
Hey Jonathan, I have an LG v10 right now and I'm due for an upgrade sometime in the next few months. Do you think I should be gravitating towards the s8/s8+ or should I wait to see what Apple has in store with the iPhone 8 (not to mention the LG v30, Note 8, OnePlus 4/5, Pixel 2 etc.) The most important things to me are reliability, battery life, camera performance, screen and everything else. Thanks!
After Jonathan pulled the thermal paste joke I couldn't understand anything of the rest of the video because i was still laughing... even minutes later.
for the resolution thing so many people talk about how the battery sucks when on full settings. so for those people who dont know how to work their phone max settings dont matter as much so limited settings out of the box make sense. as for the Bluetooth there are many uses for being able to connect to multiple devices, Bluetooth headset and controller is one (VR). I have also seen in other reviews that the camera is different and takes multiple pictures in order to stitch them together in software.
The phone is probably set to 1080p by default to minimize lag. Samsung would never do anything like reduce the bloatware. Instead they're adding more bloatware like an assistant that is redundant with Google Assistant.
