Technically speaking being pared with another ship who improves your performance even if there is no additional damage done is classed as gang and not solo, but i see great situational awareness and decision making by this player.
It also reduces your sig, increasing your tank. Assuming they were just skirmish boosting. He might have had siege boosts too. Not whining, but get it right, it's a considerable advantage.
With larger ships you need to kite or you're not tracking shit. Let them come to you with barely any transversal and you'll suddenly be nabbing kills quicker. It's what amarrian ships in particular thrive on. They just tend to lack the speed.
If you need carrier Logi against 2 tengus and a scimi, you should probably go back to mining, and Fielding a Nyx to deal with a BC and a Recon (Facepalm) Needed a good Onyx or broadsword pilot in gang.

If he was using links, who cares? A lot of people use links whether they want to admit it or not. It does say "small gang pvp" in the title as well as solo. Now that Retribution is out, crying carebears like you don't have anymore reason to say "IT'S NOT SOLO, YOU GOT LINKS!!1one" since they have to be on grid now.
Boosts and Links allow him to take much more fights, do remember he's in a T1 Battlecruiser facing off against T3s and T2s. I don't know why people get mad over these sorts of videos, unless it explicitly states "TRUE SOLO PVP" then you know its going to be with links, why click on it?
