This is extremely important.
So I have a question: why is the Evangelion Symphony version of Borderline Case so drastically different from the TV show version? Was it to fit themes? There are so many scenes where this would have fit well
It's a mix of two themes
The first half was meant to be incorporated into End of Evangelion. But instead, only the second half made it in, relabelled as Escape to the Beginning.

@@felipemartins9050 A little late to the party, but he was talking about ng:e 3.0 + 1.0, there was a track used called "born evil" that is similar to the version played at the beginning of this video.
Oh and the scene it was played was when Fuyutsuki was talking to shinji.

First half is "A4 heavy version", a variation of A4 meant to be included in EoE, but later on dropped. It was ultimately used for NTE 3.0+1.0 as "Born Evil"

i keep being reminded of the end of evangelion
If I know everyone, it is normal to feel emotions in this type of music since it brings a sense of something important or epic. Many people feel insecure with these but it is totally normal.
i had been trying to find this song for so long when i heard it in the manga entertainment trailer, and i'm so happy i did

When seeing this scene again it made me wonder that this is what Yui would looks like with long hair but not as long as compared to Rei Ayanami when she was trapped in Eva-Unit01 for 14 years but still as beautiful as ever. Also RIP Fuyutsuki and his VA.

I have been watching Evangelion for years and I’ve never heard anything this beautiful play on the show/films. Where is this from???
Back in 1997, there was a concert held for orchestrated music selections of NGE called Evangelion Symphony. The music was produced by Shiro Sagisu himself for New Japan Philharmonic. The song titles are in the description

It was probably him trying to remember his mother. He doesn't remember what she looks like, so he goes for the archetypal woman, which includes longer hair. His memory is fuzzy so it's not quite there. It also seems to be a reference to Misato.
