My wife and I who are 74 and 73 and my mother who is 91 to this day enjoy watching Lone Ranger episodes which are airing daily on feTV. In short the Lone Ranger and Tonto have always been an inspiration. Their personal lives seemed to emulate the roles they played. The three of us wish there were more people like them today.

As a drummer/singer/emcee/ announcer myself, I really appreciate this interview. Ms. Moore is rightly proud of her Dad, and relates his story in a straightforward interesting, yet warm way. Mr. Norwick did a fantastic job. Did you notice that he let HER speak and did not keep interrupting her to show how knowledgeable he is. Instead, he strategically picked his spots to interject. Excellent job by BOTH. BRAVO!

Enjoyable interview … informative, touching … I'm glad that you referred to him as Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger, instead of calling him 'the man who portrayed' the Lone Ranger. Thanks for that, this shows a lot of respect for the man.

it brought a tear to my eye, even at 76. Especially when she read that creed and when you read your letter.

Ms. Moore is a beauty. She was eloquent and poised without pretense. She is reminiscent of her father's appeal to his fans. I like the interviewer as well, Mr. Norwick.

An excellent interview with a very gracious guest. Thank you for creating this great memory of a great hero. A very enjoyable Christmas surprise. Thank you Dawn for sharing your thoughts and feelings with all of us. Most of all, thank you for sharing your Dad with all of us. He was a great icon in many lives, including mine.

Alex, thank you for reading the letter from Clayton Moore you received as a 5-year old. I found it a source of hope and inspiration - even in these crazy times - and actually teared up as you read.

The Lone Ranger and Adam 12 helped me to chose a 33 career as a police sergeant working the inner city trying my best to help all those I met. Years ago there was a book called COPS where a man went to police departments all over this country to see what they really did. He said the biggest thing he came away with was that every cop wanted to be Superman with a pension. It was amazing to see such a collection of men and women across this country that are deeply spiritual, caring group of people willing to lay down their lives for complete strangers. Each one a Lone Ranger in their own right.

Dawn I am so glad to finally see you in a interview. Amazingly I hate country music and westerns but young lady your father's abilities to portray to people so well made me watch his show every day with my grandma and was our special time together every day. We were so happy to sign the petition for him to have his mask back because it broke our hearts when they said he couldn't. Clayton and Jay will always and forever be the only true Lone Ranger and Tonto.💜💜💜 May they both Rest In Peace and may their spirits live forever. 💜💜💜

This is a wonderful interview and I found it by shear luck while looking up my distant cousin, Brace Beemer and his activities as the radio Lone Ranger. So glad to find this. Also, Clayton Moore, as far as I know, was a terrific ham radio operator a hobby he very much enjoyed. Its good to meet up with his daughter Dawn Moore now. Thank you Dawn and Alex for this very interesting history.

I enjoyed watching him on tv. The theme song was great and the school went to symphony they always played it, they knew it was only kids there. When I just saw him in the sunglasses now mad I got when they told him he couldn’t wear the real one.

Very nice interview! I loved the Lone Ranger Clayton Moore, could only be him! Awesome Jay Silverheels, Tonto and Silver all Awesome! As a child and now, I watch all the reruns and we tape them and wow he was so handsome blue eyes and what a great body! I wonder if Dawn ever saw her real father, or if He tried to ever see her, where she was adopted by Clayton Moore. No hate here just love and wondering if she even knew she was adopted. I am sure Clayton, loved her as his own!

I watched reruns of the Lone Ranger as a kid in the 70's. Both in black & white and the colorized versions later on. I never ended up dissapointed about the character of the actor who portrayed the role, unlike so many of the onscreen heroes of my childhood. And i am grateful to learn more about the man. Every child should watch the episodes of the Lone Ranger. They have held up well with very little, if any, political incorrectness to get in the way of their being fully enjoyed for the great entertainment they are.

Dawn Moore said that her father (Clayton Moore) was a better man because he played the Lone Ranger. I disagree! I think that Clayton Moore was great guy LONG BEFORE he ever bacame The Lone Ranger. Even when he was sued and forced to not wear the mask, he STILL had kind words to say about Jack Wrather. He was truly a kind and generous man.

Dawn comes across as a genuinely good person; not stuck-up or full of herself. One of the nicest photos in her dad’s memoir is of Dawn as a toddler, sitting on her tricycle wearing a mask and cowboy hat.
It was great to hear about her father’s health regimen; he had to keep in shape to portray the Lone Ranger. During that stupid lawsuit over the mask, the Wrather attorneys stated that Moore was old and out of condition. He retorted that his waist was 34 and he weighed 15 pounds less than he did during the TV series! Also, he was running and swimming every day.

The Lone Ranger was and is unique, portraying Biblical principles & values. Not sure if Clayton and Jay knew the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, I hope they did. They were great friends and a team together! They're show was family friendly, teaching morals, children right and wrong! Which is totally opposite of the mess, prophanity, of TV these days! Thanks Lone Ranger and Tonto! Hi Ho Silver and Scout!

The only really successful Lone Ranger shows were the radio shows, 😊serials, the 1940s-50s tv show and the Filmation TV show. The 1981 film is no classic but entertaining. And the Disney film, I liked the framework subplot of Tonto in the Wild West museum but the rest of the film was awful. Then there was a 2003 Lone Ranger TV movie which is unmentionable.
