Gutvald Diomedes had help from Athena though otherwise he would not have been able to beat Ares. Never read the Illiad(just going by wha people comment on about it) so I am not sure if he had help from Athena when it came to Apollo and Aphrodite but I know she helped him beat Ares. Diomedes sounds badass from what I hear but I think people tend to overhype him when it comes to his accomplishments as he had help from the gods(then again, almost every major chaacter in the story had devine help from time to time). As for the demigods quote posted by yoboyrob201, Achilles was indeed superhuman(stronger than Ajax the Greater who himself was most likely superhuman, faster than Ajax the Lesser who was pretty darn fast, ect.) but not to the extent of TRUE superhumans like Hercules and Kratos who are both physically capable of KILLING the olympian gods\godesses while other demigods are just able to simply stand up to them and, if lucky enough, hurt\wound them.
Well I don"t think Greeks stories are enough precise to really make a sort of top 3 of heroes you know, it's not Marvel . I just remember that Diomedes, with the help of Athena, can see the other gods on the battlefield, and hurt Aphrodite, and then flee in front of Hector and Ares. *demigod, well actually on the Illyad, Hectors flees when Achiles is coming for him, the chase was so long that they went around the city walls (yes the whole city) 12 times and after that Hector faces him and an epic fight ensues which ends with Achiles impaling Hector with his huge spear (according to Homer it was 5 meters long). Aside from the chase the fight is quite true to what was written.
Achilles was full of shit. Never fought for a cause, was arrogant because his mother dunked him in a river making him nearly invulnerable. Hector was the real champ.
Watching this scene again you realize that Hector was doomed from the beginning of this fight; he's totally distracted by thoughts of family, brother, dreams, even Achilles final words: No pacts between lions and men is a taunt. Typical example of honour vs glory. Achilles may have been the better warrior, but Hector was the more honourable human. Very similar to Djokovic and Federer. Djokovic may have won more titles, but Federer is the one who is loved by all
I think this might be, the closest scene to being accurate when comparing to the Iliad. Even after knowing the Iliad I was rooting for the Trojans the whole time. In the movie it's even stronger. When the invasion force was on the beach, they gave an heroic music for Achilles and not rightfully so. It made me rooting for the Trojans even more. In this scene, sure Achilles was furious on Patroclus but nobody forced the kid to come anyway.

The OG ‘Is this your king’ moment
Achilles: Hector!
Troy: Archers
Hector true warrior protected his brother carried on his father's name Achilles just too much but you got to love hector for what he did.
Inspiring lines from a pure soul.
"Hector, no father had a better son."
His old man had no faith he even stood a chance. Lol
No father had a better son, so true words 😢
That's what trump said this his son Eric 😅😅😅
This scene make me cry😢 ....say farewell to your beloved wife and son...
The Hectors father was a son of a... he could destroy Aquiles
I loved Hector and was hopeful he'd win. Even though i knew he died.
СМЕРТЬ НЕБЫВАЕТ/ЧЕМО-ЛУЧШЕ чем сохранить жизнь.
One of the best movies ive ever seen
“HECTOR”
“ALRIGHT he’s fkn coming calm down!”
Background music was awesome
I'm not sure why but I thinks Achilles wanted to see Hector '-'
What makes you so sure '='
Dude hector killed Achilles cousin so Achilles was mad and boom! All this happened because of his bitchy cousin
Whaaat, I thought it was Hector wanting to see Achilles so bad at first place '-', but he was shy he didn't call so Achilles has to pay back a visit in proper way in front of the door '-'
No father had a better son..what a words by father before a son goes for his last fight..
Achilles admitted in the movie your son was a worthy opponent I was unsure for a moment if I could kill him his death was honorable you may take his body
Hector was a G tho.. he just crossed a Bigger G
brave Hector , he is a great man
We are brave..in whatever we live...live free..u were the best eye thought..😉
These two could have handled this war differently if 1 didnt lose close friend or family.
As much Achilles was a war lord hardcore warrior but tht woman (presails) took his heart back to sense of love, peace, relationship and good life feelings.
While Hector as a Man who's good hearted and peaceful who love his people was only disturbed by this War which was started by his lil Broe
If only hector had the Excalibur, Achilles would not have had the chance.
HECTOR!!!
When you pull up out front your friends house to pick them up
