    My Violin's E string broke today and this was very helpful, I'm a self learner and I have no music teacher, I'm only relying onto UA-cam tutorials at the moment and this was a life saver thank you so much💗

    Thank you so much for this. I got an electric vuolin for Christmas and had no idea how to put the strings on. I haven't played since I was 10, so this helped a lot.

    So as a Violinist myself, I recommend you use some Steel Wool for the fingerboard because it’s gets rid of that, just be careful to not touch the wood part.

    I saw my luthier change strings and he took two off at one time like you did. I was always told just to take one off at a time but as you say it's very hard to get the strings on top of each other. I was scared to do this but I think I'll try it today.

    Hello! thank you for the video! can you tell me the name of that tube to save the old strings for backup?

    • @ViolinDots
      @ViolinDots  7 років тому +1

      +Sephirus Oakborn Hi, the tube came with the case when I got my violin. I believe the strings tube are normally used to store gut strings as it's best to keep them uncoiled. Unfortunately, I have no idea if they even sell these separately.

    Nice job. Good explanations. Who made your violin. It appears to be a Strad copy. My reasonably new Gliga Gama has a similar age appearance. I’m an advanced beginner. Ready to change my Dominant’s E to a Warchal Amber E and see if I am able to achieve a warmer sound as others have claimed.

    • @ViolinDots
      @ViolinDots  3 роки тому

      Hi😊 I believe mine was crafted by Christian Gliga and you're quite right, it's strad model from the maestro range.

    Can I ask how do you take off the excess resin on the violin strings

    • @ViolinDots

    I just discovered that my E string is attached to the upper right peg and the A string to the lower right peg. Does this make a difference?

    what is your practice schedule like ?

    • @ViolinDots
      @ViolinDots  7 років тому +4

      +Jus Sensations sporadic to say the least. Still working on creating a more structured approach so will let you know once I figure out a good schedule. For now I do my best to get quality practice whether I have 20 minutes or up to 2 hours of practice time (which is normally 2-3 times per week due to work commitments). I do what I can with the time that I have. I would also love to hear what your practice schedule is like, thanks🙂

    Yo u forgot to mention wich directio nto turn the pegs I think ita different from string to string.some is clockwise and some is counterclockwise right?

    • @ViolinDots
      @ViolinDots  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you😅 yes that's right. On the left side of the peg box turn counterclockwise to tighten the G and D strings and on the right side turn clockwise to tighten the A and E strings. Good luck 👍

    • @Shadowthevampire
      @Shadowthevampire 2 роки тому

      @@ViolinDots so on the left side the strings should go underneet the pegs and on the right side they should go on top of the pegs?
      In your videos it kinda looked like all strings were ontop.

    • @ViolinDots
      @ViolinDots  2 роки тому

      All the strings should sit on top👍

    How to I replace a string if it snapped in half and my bridge fell

  • @artoriapendragonartoriapen7587

    im a beginner actually for everything that i purchase like ukulele acoustic guitar & piano but slowly2 i figure out how to play the piano & guitar but not as a pro more like a low level and suddenly i decide to play violin so scracthy and noisy really dificutlt to do vibrato teknick especialy if u learn instrument by yourself without any training or guide
    however i did manage to tuning the instrument i play im a left hand user that mean anything that involved my daily routine use left but eat using right hand but when i come to a musical instrument
    i actually could move around it pretty easily cause every instrument is basicly design for left hand its really normal and natural for me to hold
    whats dificult is how hard it is even so i could place my finger on the fret board
    it dint sound so smooth or any better seem such a stupid idea for me to play it however
    the only reason i play it
    is because i often download this musical instrument apk mix it with a mini speaker i realize i could make a song out of it so thats y i buy it the first string of violin snaped and loose i panic but thanks for the info

    I mean what's the worst can happen if you take two strings off really? do you think the bridge could collapse? I have geared pigs so they do not come out of the peg box
