it's great to see that you and other youtubers from your "youtube generation" ( like tyler oakley, dan howell, phil lester and others ) give less importance to numbers and more importance to their personal lives (and keeping it private), to growing as people, and it's amazing to see you be generally happy with yourselves and at peace in a way? you just do your things, talk about what matters to you and don't really try to please the algorithm
i think we all felt a bit lonely this year, i moved out from my parents in September to start my first year of uni but it ended up being fully online so i am away from home but also didn't meet anyone so it's a bit tough, but vaccines are coming so who knows :)

I watched a pre-interview T did about it like a day before it was released so I knew it was about them and because I had spent so long dedicated to that ship, I literally just saw the whole string of events flash through my brain as I was listening to the song and I got really really emotional every time I listened to it for like a year.

@@henrique_pais - the one question that most fans would love to know is what caused the breakup in the first place. That's one question that we'll never know the answer to unless it's answered in a future biography maybe 40 years from now!
@@showmoke i know it's kinda invasive to speculate about a relationship that had nothing to do with me but i have a few theories:
- their relationship was unhealthy and TS was over it (bl*e n*ighbourhood pretty much says it all)
- TS felt like he had 'outgrown' connor or felt like they weren't compatible anymore and simply fell out of love with him (his song plum)
- a combination of both of the above, i think this the most plausible one
- they were both insanely busy and TS was blowing up around the time they broke up in feb 2016, he had just started his world tour at that point and they just couldn't prioritise their relationship with all that going on
@@okaypearl - yes, your analysis of the situation sounds totally logical. I felt SO sorry for Connor though as it was obvious from his videos that the breakup was completely and utterly devastating for him. My view on the Jacob situation is slightly different in that I’m pretty sure that it was Jacob that left TS. Looking at T’s videos at that time showed that T was on his own for ever longer periods of time (apart from the dog). When T realised that the relationship wasn’t a thing anymore and with COVID just about to hit, T packed up his stuff and moved back to Australia with his family for a while until he got himself his own place near his parents. Again, I think the relationship just sort of fizzled out, with Jacob needing to travel a lot for his modelling work.

you prolly won’t see this but still- 2012 i took a year off school preparing for the exam of transferring to an art university. i was so confused and frustrated with life, the only thing i can do is keep drawing and painting. that’s when i found you on youtube. whenever i feel bad your smile makes me so happy and inspired. lately, there’s lots of shit going on with my life. i’ve been depressed for months. i cant pass a day without thinking of suicide. but with help, i’m still here. trying my best self to face every single day.
long story short. seeing you getting better and BETTER by every coming video REALLY makes me feel so happy & proud. seeing you become so comfortable and genuinely happy in yourself has been beautiful journey. most of all, you giving me the strength to continue.

what i’ve realized from watching many of these videos from different ytbers is that while being a yt fan years ago was fun i kinda perfer everyone being a lil more grown up and chill ☺️this is just a fun lil corner of the internet now and i love it !!
I love that this is a trend going on with the creators I entered adulthood with. None of these answers are ever unexpected or anything crazy. It's nice to know that ya'll are finally in a place where you're settled enough into yourselves where these things aren't as stressful to talk about anymore.
Gives me hope that me feeling more settled into myself as an adult too isn't just some house of mirrors thing. Like, I am actually getting some (just some) of my shit together.
