Those poor babies. My mom started putting me out at the age of eleven. Family members had to come and get me while I was standing outside barefoot. I was living in an apartment complex and one day my mom made me pack a suitcase and the only other option me and my friend could think of was breaking into an empty apartment. The police was called and I went to juvenile detention for trespassing. They never addressed her putting out a minor. Years later I was officially removed from her at sixteen. You never know what’s happening behind closed doors and nobody cares enough about kids to do something. I hope those kids are okay.

Me and my older have had to live back at home a couple of times now, and I'm 28. He's 44, and she never has a problem. Welcomes us with open arms and food. I will NEVER understand how someone can do that to their own kids. Like if your kids aren't literally beating the shit out of you, acting bad there is no reason to do all this

My dad forced me to be homeless at the age of 16. ON THE STREETS OF MEMPHIS. While he stayed in the burbs. He was abusive verbally and physically to me my whole life. Got away with killing my mother. And remarried twice since then. He only came to look for me after his church members saw me sleepin on a bench at a 24 hr walmart. Needless to say they stopped being members and my dad blamed me.
She absolutely is, as someone who has worked in mental health care for many years, there is no excuse for allowing minors to make their own bad decisions. The adults need to step up and get the child help.

The law requires that a parent provide a child with food, shelter, clothes and education. Sleeping outside no matter what time of the year does not qualify as shelter. The parents should be prosecuted.

What if it's deeper than what people think? What if the boys were molested by their father(allegedly) and didn't want to be in the house because of that? It's just something to think about. Yes, I would sleep outside with most family members if they had a mental disorder that prevented them from sleeping inside. At the same time, the parents have a responsibility not to give in to any and everything that the older son wants. I hope they get the help they need and soon because it's going to get colder.
This is all the way WRONG! And the explanation doesn't make sense. Honestly, I thonk it's even worse than what we're seeing. Let's say that the older son really is mentally ill. Even if he was, he would still want to be inside out of the cold/heat sometimes. He wouldn't choose to be uncomfortable every single day. I see homeless/mentally ill people at fast food restaurants, libraries, etc to get out of the weather all the time. Plus, if it's all his choice, why aren't the parents doing more for them? I could see if they had bought him a tent and were stocking it with new toothbrushes, soap, etc. And there was a stock of water and food and clean clothes in there. Then maybe I could believe that the kid was going through some sort of psychosis, but they still loved and cared for him. This honestly looks like he was put out and they not only don't care about him, but they get some sick joy out of being able to look out the window and watch him suffer. Also, I can only think of a couple of things that would make a child CHOOSE to suffer like that. The older and younger one at that. They all fall under ab*se. From what I see (and this is only based off my experience), the parents have been ab*sing those kids. The older (scapegoat) tried to speak up and was labled mentally ill. He wouldn't accept that label and now both sons (the scapegoat and the invisible child) have been put out on the porch to punish/humiliate them for not falling in line with the ab*ser(s). (I can tell who is who because Betty blamed the older son for being in this situation but only mentioned the younger son because it would look worse not to acknowledge him at all because we can see him too.) I know the word narcissist is spoken a lot, but in this instance it fits. From parading the golden child who makes them look good, to blaming a child for being in a situation that only the parents can really control, to still showing up in front of other people as this perfect persona, to having his flying monkeys (Betty, the visiting pastor, church women, etc) go out and smear the child's reputation while exaulting the culprits of this egregious crime. If those boys ever really get to get away from their parents (because I promise you they can't leave that porch and accept help from anyone without fear of the repercussions) and say what really happened to them, those parents would probably be under the jail if street justice didn't meet them first. I pray those boys open their mouths and start telling now. With all this unwanted attention on the parents right now, it will only get worse for them once the cameras aren't pointing their way anymore. 😢

This is all the way WRONG! And the explanation doesn't make sense. Honestly, I thonk it's even worse than what we're seeing. Let's say that the older son really is mentally ill. Even if he was, he would still want to be inside out of the cold/heat sometimes. He wouldn't choose to be uncomfortable every single day. I see homeless/mentally ill people at fast food restaurants, libraries, etc to get out of the weather all the time. Plus, if it's all his choice, why aren't the parents doing more for them? I could see if they had bought him a tent and were stocking it with new toothbrushes, soap, etc. And there was a stock of water and food and clean clothes in there. Then maybe I could believe that the kid was going through some sort of psychosis, but they still loved and cared for him. This honestly looks like he was put out and they not only don't care about him, but they get some sick joy out of being able to look out the window and watch him suffer. Also, I can only think of a couple of things that would make a child CHOOSE to suffer like that. The older and younger one at that. They all fall under ab*se. From what I see (and this is only based off my experience), the parents have been ab*sing those kids. The older (scapegoat) tried to speak up and was labled mentally ill. He wouldn't accept that label and now both sons (the scapegoat and the invisible child) have been put out on the porch to punish/humiliate them for not falling in line with the ab*ser(s). (I can tell who is who because Betty blamed the older son for being in this situation but only mentioned the younger son because it would look worse not to acknowledge him at all because we can see him too.) I know the word narcissist is spoken a lot, but in this instance it fits. From parading the golden child who makes them look good, to blaming a child for being in a situation that only the parents can really control, to still showing up in front of other people as this perfect persona, to having his flying monkeys (Betty, the visiting pastor, church women, etc) go out and smear the child's reputation while exaulting the culprits of this egregious crime. If those boys ever really get to get away from their parents (because I promise you they can't leave that porch and accept help from anyone without fear of the repercussions) and say what really happened to them, those parents would probably be under the jail if street justice didn't meet them first. I pray those boys open their mouths and start telling now. With all this unwanted attention on the parents right now, it will only get worse for them once the cameras aren't pointing their way anymore. 😢
