Sometimes I'm glad I grown in a cold basement. Too much heat is never an issue. I actually still run heaters all summer at night time for young plants and seedlings.

Chris, consider deploying the Terraform as a dry/cure environment appliance as well. Using the same metrics as the Cannatrol would be an interesting comparison at scale.
Yes, this exactly! What are the cannatrol default settings to dry?
it would be interesting to see if it holds a stable temperature and humidity at 60/60. If there arre no crazy peaks or lows im in!
That’s what I did on my last grow and it turned out better than a 60/60 dry and cure. Seems to have more flavor which makes sense because it retains more terps at the higher dew point.

@@atnupacas 68 degrees 61% rh is 53 dewpoint. They recommend 54 for drying then 52 for curing and then back to 54 for storage but i figured in the middle would do and it worked great. Good luck man

Chris, I know you are in the desert, but please talk more about the dehumidifier function. That is what makes this unique.
All air conditioner are dehumidifier this one just allows you to turn cooling all the way off but you could turn any indoor air conditioner all the way down and bammo it’s a dehumidifier
@@shane5387 That is not how it works in practice. When you have 90% humidity and 90f the a/c does not remove enough humidity to do the job. Even if I wanted to use my a/c to control the humidity I could not get it low enough or I would live in a freezer. I would think that the amount of difference between the drips of water from an a/c and the gallons per day my dehumidifier creates shows a difference.
@@shane5387 my aircon increases humidity... unless i switch it to dehumidify, which then negates the cooling function.. meaning its pointless. it looks like this unit does not do both simultaneously which kinda makes it not ideal.

been asking for this for a while as it solves most issues i have deep in the south but 700 bucks is not realistic for most home growers .

Cool wish they send me one, 😃 this would solve having to run whole house at low temps could save you money in the long run if your in warm area. Rather then having a window unit hanging off window. the ducting into tent for cooling and dehumidify ✌

Im in the market for a grow tent temp control. I have all AC equipment now and this should work great in my tent..! Winter grows are not that hard for me but summer time I have a hard time with the tent getting to hot. Im definitely going to use that code. Im in a 5X5

I think the only positive is the round outlet giving the ability to have my ac outside of my tent. I have a cardboard box around my AC unit with a hole cut out and a tube hooked up to the cardboard lol

That unit, just like most portable ac units, is counterproductive. All the components of the unit that get hot are in the room. Cold air is sucked in from the room, into the unit to cool it, then exhausted to the outside. Most exhaust tubes are hotter than you want the tmps in your room. You get about 60% of the cooling, if you're lucky. There's a YT video about this. A mini split is the best option, but if that's not cost-effective, a window unit is the next best option. Every piece of equipment you put IN your room puts off heat, even the ac. The goal is to keep heat out of the room.
Right, no matter what there’s going to be more heat put into the room/tent..and at 8k btu ..one may want to stick with a 3x3 with 2 plants.
If this can only get to 60 - cool smh that makes it even worse… as you will fight that 70-75+ during flower. Guarantee

Unit needs to Use insulated duct to vent out hot air ..makes a big difference
Insulate vent tube.

Duct can be connected to intake air from outside of the room and exhaust duct the hot air outside of the room. Look back at when he shows in the instruction manual.
You should do a review or test on different under canopy and side lighting systems, comparing the results and efficacy. The only content creator that has made a video about UC lights is Terpy highs, I'd love to see results before getting any.
They won’t they are trying to get pre orders in right now they won’t come out with an efficiency test

my biggest issue with my portable ac unit i use for my flowering tent. is at night, the rh% goes 70+ due to the condensation build up on the vents going into the tent.
Please do some different configurations for this. Negative and neutral pressure, how it works with carbon filter also installed in the tent. I would love to get one for my small indoor grow but smell is a major issue for me. Cranking the ac in the lung room has been a headache for years now and this might solve my problems.
I’m thinking about using this to make my 8x10 spare room into a lung room for my 5x5, then exhaust the 5x5 to the outside…
I would think this could replace the fans, & cool it at the same time! My AC is 10,000 BTU. I need it for only about 3 months in Alaska. With that & the EVO10, plus fans & all. My bill gets almost tripled in the summer.

how big is the Watertank? My dehumidifier has 20L/a day (5,5Ggal) and 1,2 Gal tank and only uses 400W for less than 300 Dolloars it defintively would be great(with a huge tank or option to catch the water) because i dont have no venting outlet in my flat, and not allowed to change that ;-) like most Germans! You also should know that the cooling agent for the dehumidifying has to be checked and refilled after quite a while. That costs too
How much noise does it make, is it really loud, compared to setting 4 on a ac infinity 6" excust fan, is it louder than that? Thanks

I think I would run the ducting right into the tent rather than the room for efficiency. With a VPD trigger, can't lose.

So it will heat, cool, and dehumidifie by putting 3 hoses to the tent and ran through the controller
So if it gets too cold in the tent the heater will kick on and if it gets too much humidity the humidifier kick on if it gets too hot in the tent then the AC will kick on is that how this works or is it only going to be able to operate one function at a time

8k btu is pretty small for a portable ac. I’d say this one is more prepared for a 5x5 than a 10x10.

I would prefer the AC Infinity unit to be a combo unit Humidifier & Dehumidifier so later on when you get to the drying stage you can manage the RH perfectly to your desired 62%, 60%, 58% or whatever you like for that long slow dry.
