- Loved this ride and it finally felt like Spring :D
100km, 2100m Elevation
(I also left my Go-pro mount in the car too so sorry for the lack of scenic videos and excess of my face! Need to be more prepared next time!)
See my Strava (linked on UA-cam home page) for route.
Thank you soooo much for watching :D enjoy your rides and stay safe,
A x
(I am wearing gifted SunGod glasses as an ambassador for this brand. As an ambassador for Raleigh UK they kindly gift me some kit, including the helmet I am wearing in this video.)
O boy no water no money, you done very well to get round. Thank you Lloyd.
You're enthusiasm is infectious 😊 I know exactly which way I'd be going if I'd forgotten my water bottle, back to the car. Then forgetting your card had to be a sign that you should've stayed in bed 😂. Great ride 👌
Haha yes I don’t know how I forgot both 😂 thanks for watching! 🫶
Great to see some audax content being covered! Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work! 💪
Such a natural. great ride Amy, great video and you are so lucky being able to cycle through such a beautiful part of the world.
Thank you so much for watching ☺️ yes I’m so grateful for how beautiful the countryside is 🫶
Yep. Julie's gloves blew off that viaduct on the Monsal trail...😂👍 I do like a dry stone wall. Nice ride
Oh no!! 😂😂 not the only one that needs new gloves now then!
Love the videos, possible idea for one is a gear check. Everyone seems to love those
A list is a great idea!
Cheap day out! Well done. Lovely to see the scenery. A great inspiration for me.
Thank you!! :D
OMG, I been there leaving my water bottle at the car or at home. You're looking so happy with the new bike.
Love the enthusiasm 😂!
Looks like a beautiful day! Love the Peak District - my old stomping ground. I really can’t believe you survived with so little water. Hope Kyle perks up and feels better.
It’s beautiful isn’t it! Yes he managed a club ride this morning so he’s feeling better :D
Feet and miles, all day everyday 👌🏻🤙🏻👌🏻
Talkin my language 🙌
You are so lucky to have great scenery, where you live. I'd be dancing and yippeeing all the time. Nice to know you were tucking into the honey pittas.. instant energy. I always have a load up on protein for recovery after a ride. Peanut butter and beans on toast, or a protein shake.
Loving the vids, keep safe
Thanks for watching! I’m super grateful for the scenery it’s soo perfect for riding (minus the potholes!) thanks for the tips :D
Amy : the voice of endorphins 😉👌
...that looked amazing, I need to register for some upcoming rides, thanks for the constant inspiration Amy, great video!
It was so fun!! Defo give it a go :D thanks for watching :)
Neanche le salite ti azzittiscono..😂 brava brava
Cheers, thanks for taking us along on your ride. I enjoyed that. Miles and feet🙂.
Thank you!!
Make a checklist so that you don't forget stuff. I have had to do that. Enjoy your channel.
Hi Amy, it just make me happy to see your videos🙂keep on Rolling 👍
Thank you so much for watching ☺️
Yippee. I'm definitely going to get my bike up to the peak district when the rain stops. Providing my cod loins can handle the hills
Yess go for it! :D
One of my favourite places in the country. Done a lot of hiking round Hope Valley. Stunning views from every angle. I also have a gravel bike and switch out to Schwalbe Marathons if doing more road riding. Bit on the heavy side but I’ll take the weight penalty over punctures! All the best☺️
It’s beautiful and I’m with you on that one about punctures! Thanks for watching :D
Great views 😎
Quality ride ! Goes to show you do not need a massive flat big distance event for it to be a great day out while still being a bit of challenge ..
the views on this ride were absolutely unreal
Awesome, with almost no water 😳
What a beautiful ride!
It was! :D
Great ride Amy, does look like the weather is improving in the Midlands. You will probably already know this but it is worth carrying emergency money, I always have £20 inote n my phone case, generally never forget the phone.
Thanks!! Good idea!!
Lovely part of the country. Remember some of those hills from the first Eroica. Wonder how long it will be before you switch to metric.
Haha I don’t know why I just prefer miles 😂
Loving all the AKAs and Let Me Tell Yas!
Haha it’s the trademark sayings 😂😂
You just reminded me to set up a payment card on my phone for those just in case moments……thanks Amy…😂
I need to do that!
Crackin' Amy looked like a great ride, certainly won out with the weather. Lovely part of the Peak District, love Monsal Head! Did my first solo and only my second ever audax on Saturday over at Bolsover!😊👍🚴
Thanks so much for watching! 🫶 Monsal Head is so beautiful! Ahh awesome hope you enjoyed it and the weather wasn’t too bad for you!
@@amy.cycling.adventures yeah enjoyed it immensely. Now ready for another! Signed up for the Charnwood 100 next month. 👍😊
@@FreshAyers really glad to hear that!
Another lovely video Amy! And love that you keep it real and tell us the mistakes 😂 Sarah
Thanks so much for watching along Sarah! Yes I’m sure there will be many more mistakes to come but I won’t be forgetting my water anytime soon!
@@amy.cycling.adventures 😂
Great riding! Love the Peaks...btw there are much faster road tires available than Marathons...the Marathon Supreme is a great tire if you want good puncture protection...
You made those climbs look easy dear. You are as fresh as you have got out of your bed he he congratulations.
Ahh thanks! I think I make them look easier than how I feel 😂😂
Nice .. I need to cycle there at some point… it’s on the list
It’s soo nice!
Love your rides. So beautiful. What’s your Strava. Would like to follow you.
Thanks so much! It’s linked on my UA-cam page :D
Yes Schwalbe Marathon if you hate punctures although they can be a little bit more slippy on soggy ground! I did Bakewell yesterday as well and it was yummy! It said it serves 6...Mr Kipling is a lying so-and-so!
Nice hope you enjoyed your ride! Yes been lucky with the punctures so far!
@@amy.cycling.adventures I didn't really do Bakewell yesterday it was just my stupid attempt at being funny...ha bloody ha. Sorry I'll go now!
@@Noddingdog63 😂 as you can tell I’ve just got back from the club ride and am a little tired! 😂😂
Yes you can’t beat Marathon tyres I use 28m, 32m, 35m & 38m all good 👍 did I notice you need a new pair of gloves, finger tip sticking through 😆
They’re the best and yes haha has been a theme of the recent videos 😂😂 I need to get myself sorted!
A good option for long road rides are Schwalbe one tyres in 32mm. Light, roll well, grippy, good puncture resistance and good price.
Love your glasses what are they??
They’re SunGod (I’m an ambassador for them so I get them for free somehow!! 😅) they’re great!
Thanks for sharing. Will you and Kyle be on the ‘To the Chapel’ next month?
Yes we will be :D
Keep safe 🚴🙏

Great !! 👌🏻
Thank you!
I was wondering how you were riding so far on those Riddler tires. I finally took mine off too.
Yes first ride without them on, a lot easier! 😅
Hope's dead close to me. I need to be on the lookout for Audaxes (however that's spelled)
Do you have a link to the route?
Edit: read your description, looked at Stava route and NOPE... Thought you meant hope in North Wales.
Great ride anyhow!
Ahh haha! Yes that’s right! If you look on the Audax UK website you can see all the Audax’s that are happening :D and North Wales is beautiful!
Leaving the water bottle in the car? We've all done that once. (And only once). But smart move to drive to the start, in case the knee acts up.
I won’t be forgetting it again anytime soon 😂 yes I decided to be sensible for once haha!
Yipeeeee
Those views makes me want tk be there with my camera 😂
Love your top. Is it Le Col?
It’s Maap, I got it in the sale :D
@@amy.cycling.adventures - thank you - great colours
We record distance traveled in miles so please keep saying MILES.
Looks like you're making a checklist fore the next one 😅
Yes I have haha!
I made a checklist for my racing kitbag and laminated it so that I could tick off items with a dry-wipe marker as I packed them. Could I find where I put the checklist?
@Biking Dad haha yes got to get them remembered too!
Ahh so sorry to hear about your wrist, but you’ll appreciate cycling even more when you can get back on the road! Ahh nice job :D I’m a newbie in Finance but liking it so far!
Can I folllow you on Strava Amy 👍🚴
It’s on my UA-cam home page ☺️
Alright! Give me your address, I'm sending you a pair of gloves.
😂😂 I need to get myself sorted!
Thanx for deleting my comment
Oh so sorry I didn’t intentionally!
