Tanzania has both electric and diesel powered engines on their new SGR track / trains! In case of an emergency of power cut, the newly Diesel engines comes in to connect, drag and continue with the journey at same speed of 160 km/hour. Also electric engines have power bank, so, even if power cuts off, it will still be able to travel with lights on in all carriages without passengers to notice if there’s power cut! Meanwhile the diesel engine will only be needed if the electric engine is broken and cannot operate.

Our SGR has a carrying capacity and of over 80 containers single, and they may be piled on ibebe 160 plus. It may also carry 200 containers with two engines. Ya Tanzania can only drag about 30-50 containers. It uses too much electricity to make any economic sence... One Kenyan train can carry about four times the carrying capacity of the Tanzanian train Besides that, our SGR already has allowance Ya kutumia umeme. Yao ya Tanzania haina uwezo wa kuchukua diesel trains Unless ikue upgraded.

1st of all they only used 2hrs during this trials/test. 2nd Dsm to Morogoro the distance is 300km, To completion the train will only travel for 90' to destination, so, Acha wivu itakuua...
