Great video. I'm getting a Vision Kamado. I cannot find a better price on a used BGE or KJ versus a brand new Vision Kamado that looks amazing. I wanted to like the Master Built Gravity series for the ease of use, but I don't feel it's going to hold up or have the versatility longterm like a kamado.

Another way I light is by burying and lighting isopropyl alcohol soaked cotton balls in the lump coal. For a smoke, I create a volcano shape and place the soaked cotton in the volcano hole. The coals slowly burn and spread out making it easier to control the temperature. I currently use an old Akorn, but now will likely get a Vision Grill. Thank you for the video!

One of the things thats really missing from the Kamado series is whether or not theres rotisserie options as its known to be a game changer on the K Joe line and allows for a whole nee way of cooking. Im set on buying a K Joe because theres very little info about additional accessory lines.

The best tasting food you can get off a grill. It’s just juicer I cannot explain why. 10 out of 10

Any issues sitting the Kamari directly on a concrete surface when building an outdoor kitchen?

Ours sits on a stainless steel kamado drawer, and many tables are made for kamado cookers that are wood on the bottom under the grill. I think concrete would be fine to set a kamado on as there isn't much heat transfer out of the bottom of the unit.

I'm looking at a new grill\smoker. Is it easy to add coal for longer smokes?

I meant to spatchcock a turkey this past holiday season but a bought a couple 30 lb turkeys from a music booster auction that seemed to large to try. In your opinion is a kamado style grill a must-have. Would char-griller from menards be great for a beginner?

Hey Curtis, 30lb turkeys, wow! Those are some big birds. The largest I've ever smoked was 21lbs, and I usually shoot for the 12-14lbs since the dark and white meat tend to finish about the same time in that size of a bird from my experience. I haven't cooked on the CharGriller kamado yet, but I believe the difference is that the CharGriller is a metal kamado and most of the others are ceramic. I have a friend who owns the CharGriller, and he loves it last time we spoke about it. Is a kamado a must have? That just depends on your style of cooking. If you want 1 grill that does everything from smoke to sear, pizzas on a stone, indirect and direct cooking, then a kamado is pretty hard to beat. There's a learning curve to them though, as it takes a few cooks to figure out how to control the airflow as it relates to temperature.

They were farm raised. Its hard to beat fresh, farm raised, all natural birds. Great for brining since no water or salt has been added

This guy looks like he’s more interested in eating the ‘experiments’ than evaluating the grill. Utterly useless review.

Nowhere in the title does it say review
