When you started playing, the sound made me think of John Abercrombie. Wow, Tony Motorola( I've only heard a few things, and there's a Mottola chord in John Damian's Chord Factory book). Thank you for the playing, description and the images of the guitar.
Mike are you going to buy Tony Mottola’s L5 that Retrofret has for sale right now? It was built for Charlie Christian (but he died before it could be delivered). Probably the first electric L5 ever built (more than a decade before the introduction of the L-5CES)?
@@Mikesarchangels It’s a tough call, but I think I’d choose the Gibson. I had always dreamed of an electric L5 with the script logo (L-5PES perhaps?) but I had no idea such a thing ever existed.
That is one BEAUTIFUL instrument!
Thanks!

I looked into it, but that price is out of my league. :)
@@Mikesarchangels yes that price is astronomical!
Yep. It’s just silly. Even half is high.
All else equal I’d still choose the Excel. :)
