My grandson has A and nystagmus. He’s three and has the noir red glasses which has been a game changer. I think the photophobia is the worse part. But he describes “colors “ like you. Everything red is black or yellow. I know he has no idea what they are.
How do you deal with glare ? Besides glasses.
He’s three so it’s hard having describe it. But runs and plays pretty normal. I can tell his depth perseption is off.
We watch him but don’t hold him back. I noticed when he has his iPad he holds it very close to his eyes.
Waiting on prescription glasses so he can tell what’s better.
But he love noir 93 shade.

Glare Is a tough one because it's everywhere. Like when we watch TV, look at a cell phone or are on a computer or Ipad. Luckily nowadays you can lower the background light which helps me a lot. Also no matter what we are always going to have to look at everything close. That's just our normal. I am so happy that you let him explore and figure things out on his arm. That is great for him.

@@elsavela5008 I do not treat any different than I did my boys when they were small. I just know he has some limitations. But he’ll figure it out. Just keep a eye on him when gets crazy running around.
Do you read close just because you can’t see the letters or pics from the tablet or book ? Sorry for all the questions.

@@morimoore I get close so I can see clearer. When I look at things from far away they do look a little blurry so when I get closer I can focus better. Especially if there is a lot of bright lights.

@@morimoore Yes I do. It's not obvious right away but my husband says he notices it when I'm really angry or when Im trying to focus really hard. He'll play around with me say, don't you shake your eyes at me. 😄
