Ok,I've got it going well as a carpet in high light,no Co2. I would tell your customers that with frequent pinching, you can keep it to roughly 2 1/2 inch high. Looks great..like a Zoysia grass lawn..like you could walk on it. I don't know if in a large aquarium this would be the main carpeting plant like a Monte Carlo but it does give the tall grass look on a golf course to the putting greens look of Monte Carlo and Baby Tears.
How to trim = basically virtually cut it all way. Great tutorial
Do the trimmings do well by just planting in the substrate?
Number one all over please.
Why u Take IT all ouț?
Does grow like weed for me, but roots and lower leaves turn black. I have to keep replanting tops and pulling out the rest, which is a shame as I can’t get the bushy growth.
It does have that peculiar tendency. It might mean- more light is needed. It also has this symbiosis with an algae that is like a scouring pad. Others have told me it gets that also. You don't mention that so I guess,it's only a problem with higher light! But you can pick that algae out..sort of part of keeping a living thing.
maybe just let it or give it more boost like fert , phosph, calc idk check its shame and lame
Just leave the bottoms alone, they will produce side shoots after the top is gone 😊. Leaves going black could be not enough light or not enough ferts, maybe even both,
It’s a common trait of the plant for the leaves and roots to turn black at the back. It doesn’t mean that anything is wrong with the plant. If you leave it alone for awhile it will grow bushier. Mine does the same thing. I know what you mean though as this does make it look like the lower leaves and roots are dead or dying.
You need to let the light reach the bottom leafs otherwise they will turn dark
