i had one of these when i was a kid in the late 70's, early 80's that had been a race bike. the kid i got it from was moving up from the 125 class to the 250 class. it was a '77 like this one with a ton of race parts on it. it was 2 years old at the time and he wanted $1250 USD, eventually i traded a '76 yz80 and $500 USD for it. i sold it 3 years later to get rims, tires and headers for my '71 ford torino gt. i wish i still had both of them. these bikes are screamers off road, and in rough terrain will go faster than you really want to.
They are great bikes with great stories, for something their age they can still throw their weight around and much more without a worry, but they certainly were not made for the tighter rougher trails! absolute screamers.
