There is a notable fluttering when some chords ring out in some of the demos. How do you relate to this detail when using the amp? It confuses me a little.
@@Goth108 can you point me to a video with a time stamp so I know what you are referring to? Haven't experienced anything like that myself, but if I can hear an example I can comment more accurately.
@@rpbrear right in the official demo, the chord he's playing at 4 seconds in is strongly fluttering dynamically. It's a matter of taste and tuning, personally I feel it might drive me nuts in some situations. Of course, it'll depend on the exact settings, too, I guess. I never understood why they only sell the twin channel version of the AD30 now. Unless I'm mistaken, you can't switch channels via footswitch so you have to flick the switch on the amp. I would much prefer reverb to a second channel, seems almost pointless. Still a great amp.
@@jonahparsons2965 thanks for the explanation. I just kind of hate that for whatever reason. I have a million overdrives, boosters, fuzz, distortions so why do I need an amp to act like it has a subtle boost pedal? I mean, I get it but I don't.
@@悪臭-p9p I don’t think that it was intended necessarily to be a boost although it can be. I like to run my eq’s quite differently On rhythm and solo channels. Typically I boost the volume, highs, and cut the lows and mids depending on the amp for my solo channel. This amp is really supposed to be modeled after a vintage amp. A lot of people complain that it doesn’t have a lot of the features that the rocker verb does, but it’s not supposed to. Every component you add to a signal chain changes the sound of an amp. This is a straightforward class A Amp, and it’s probably my favorite British amp. The sound of those power tubes cooking is worth the price of admission as far as I’m concerned. I look at the channel switching feature like a light in a stairway, typically there’s a switch at the top and the bottom of the stairs.
Best amp demo from a media account ever. EVER. You explored all the use cases of the amp, and all the sounds I wanted to know about. Great job.
I’ve been gigging this amp over last 5-6 years and I can’t fault it. This was my first EL84 valve amp. Safe to say I’m a happy camper.
Have owned one now for 16 years. This is the best demo I have seen, and I have seen a lot.

Best AD30 - review on YT!!! Thanks so much ☺️
The 2nd channel sings with the fuzz. Sounds amazing.
Amazing demo as usual mate.. also, that blues driver sounds amazing.. I was not expecting that!
I love the AD 30 my fav British amp and that East River Drive is a great pedal , this was a phenomenal demo , some wonderful playing , subscribed 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Would love to get my hands on the single channel version.
No benefit to it whatsoever. I promise.
@@jaycee30865 more mojo 🤣
@@markstraub1879 lower price!
@@markstraub1879 but I promise same thing. 2 channel has different 2nd channel.
But you can bargain harder for the 1ch.
Its just that theres really no need for a second channel. It's just kind of annoying to see two sets of the same controls.
Sounds good turned up all the way.And most importantly looks cool.
Hi Nick really wanted to check out this amp sounds immense great playing!👍
Hey, thanks!
Killer tone and playing, shweet
Killer amp! Its loud because its Class A! How Phat does that PRS sound...& definition. RocknRoll baby!
Wish this had an attenuator
Seriously, could you please share the demo with the processing removed, especially the reverb?
I'm sorry if I missed it... But, what cabinet are you using in the demo? V30 or Neos?
Edit: NVM... Got a closer look on the big screen.
Which one of the two channels would be closest to the older 1 Channel AD30?
Channel 1 is the same
Would you mind sharing the dry sound files without reverb, delay, EQ, compression whatever on top of the pure amp sound?
Why not running delay in fx loop?
What loop?
Can this amp sound good at bedroom volumes
I would say no
I would say yes. It has a post phase inverter master volume and it’s very good
Zeppelin didn't do a reunion tour, they did one show.
Jimmy Page used the single channel version.
The only amp that can do everything except metal very well.

Footswitch to toggle between channels is on the back of the amp. Super handy!
@@mtmusicgear what happens with the front switch, wouldn't it be incorrectly showing channel one is engaged instead of 2?
@@悪臭-p9p yea, but in a live situation, it doesn’t really matter as you’d likely only use the foot switch, the Orange branded ones have LED indicator.

the fact that this amp does not have an fx loop is a deal breaker for me
this was almost a dream amp
I have a OR50 and thought I would never be able to play without a loop, then you get used to it and it's a whole new world
Why would you need an FX loop on an amp being all about purism? To water the sound down?
I was just browsing, and..... I started thinking bout this chick....
Sweet guitar player
