The Certo bottle held pectin for canning jams etc. The words were upside down because you would use a half bottle and it would show an arrow and a line to where it measured the amount. The dads dads dads bottle might be Dads Root Beer? Not particularly valuable but interesting on the Certo bottle. Hope you can deal with the bees or wasps. Bees, good - wasps, bad.
Some nice finds. Especially the chalice in the original box can generate a pretty penny, if it´s silver. Don´t be afraid of bees and wasps, in most cases they only attack you if you attack them. Hornets are a little bit more tricky.... 😁 Stay cool, hydrated and have a phantastic sunday ! Greets from GER, U.
Recently watched a video from Taco's channel where he was out magnet fishing and left a comment about an "antique bottle graveyard" (Yes, they exist. Who knew?) that I found while out hiking local creeks hunting for geodes. Found dozens of old apothecary, soda, liquor, and perfume bottles scattered along the banks after some recent flooding exposed them. I didn't find the holy grail bottle to retire on, but some of them sold for as much as $20. Literally buried treasure!
I used to go "old garbage pit" digging when I was little at old dump sites in the woods. It was so much fun seeing what had been thrown out, digging up the past!
We got to go to the dump 2 times a week! Great finds for 6 yr Olds! The we would stay till dark and watch the bears come out to eat garbage! 😆 circa..."1976" and on till they shut the dump down, cleared it out and put in a regular dump. I've always wanted to go back there and dig around in the woods!
Before indoor plumbing, people would toss their old glass empties in the outhouse, and when it was time to move the outhouse because it was getting too full, they would fill the rest up with dirt...burying it all. Then they would place the outhouse over a brand-new hole and start over. I've seen some great youtubes of a guy who digs old outhouse sites he maps out from the 1800s and early 1900s. They work in the city proper...New York, etc. They find some rare treasures!
Glad to see the Ball jars. My uncle worked for them and even wrote a book about collectors guide to Ball jars. The grave digger shirt was neat since they are from North Carolina.

"Why can't they makes stairs easy?" I wish! I have been stuck in my tiny flat for more than 10 years now because I can't get down the 3 flights of stairs that separate me from freedom!😭
Isn't there some sort of public agency that could help you with accessibility there or find you a more suitable place to live? You need fresh air and choices!
Always enjoy your findings in what seems to be a hoarders attic & basement. The amount of useless junk is overwhelming. We rarely see the hard work of hauling the junk outdoors. I got to believe that is hard hard exhausting work. Plus I’d think they’d be another sorting outside before throwing into dumpster.
I have a few videos where I do show hauling stuff out to dumpsters. For this house, we are not doing a cleanout... If we were to, it would cost the owner a considerable amount of money for as you said, to haul that stuff down, using a staircase that has some stairs waiting to break and also clean up all the outside with the buildings and piles of junk everywhere. It is a lot of work!
I'm glad you don't have to take everything - that makes it a lot easier. If this were a cleanout, I would definitely charge a hefty fee for the job, in addition to keeping the sellable items.
If this were a cleanout, I'm not even sure what it would have cost... With all of the garbage items in the attic/basement, plus the outbuildings and if one had to remove all the scrap vehicles... Not cheap!
Love the T-shirts. Pink Floyd & Gravedigger. Two things that make life worth living. They made a whole movie about killer bees in the '70s. Back when disaster movies were big - and could be seen on network TV. Towering Inferno. The Poseidon Adventure. Earthquake. Smash Up on Interstate 5 (with Buddy Ebsen). Pirhanas. And all the Airport movies. You could "reboot" the trend. Filming from a distance. Oooh - what if they are Murder Hornets. That'd be sweet. Except we have to call them Northern Giant Hornets now. Entomologists think they got a bad rap & hurt feelings from the whole "murder" thing.
I should have recorded the buzzing! It was loud and easily heard. I had been moving some items a few feet in front of the "window" and so think that I stirred them awake from their slumber. I've been stung by your regular bees before, but I didn't want to find out what would happen if I was swarmed. Think I'd rather stick to the hole in the basement versus a swarm of hornets! Haha
Ms. Renae I think yer just cute as a bug!!! I cannot for the life of me put an age on you!!! Haha! Yer PAM is awesome! Love watching them all! Yer hair is awesome short or longer! It sets you apart from other youtubers! Yer adorable....keep it up!!! Annnnddd go PINK FLOYD!!! 🤘

Sorry I didn't have a chance to comment on the other 2 videos yet, it's crazy over here 😜 I'm sure you will have a lot of happy customers thankful you saved all those retro treasures. I noticed you didn't go back down into the basement 🤣🤣🤣 I was sure there could be a village of mole people down there 😉
A Devil Shake bottle sold on eBay a few weeks ago for over $100. It was a larger bottle with very little wear. The one we found will definitely go on eBay!
Certo is added to fruit when you make jam- it makes the fruit jell. Too bad about the bees - maybe when you go back it will be a cold day and they won't be active. But still it looks like you found some goodies!
Hi Renee. WOW! I had fun at the clean out. The things you found that is awesome. And I hope to see you there real soon. When is the next clean out. In what area. God Bless you. Mari'a. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀💗💖💝💕💞💓❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💜💚💛🧡
The Roger Waters version of Pink Floyd after they fell out. I went to see the David Gilmour version of Pink Floyd at Manchester city Maine Road football ground in the nineties. Great gig with flying pig, seagull etc.
Devil shake by Pepsi was Pepsi version of Yahoo to compete with their market but they had a problem because of short shelf life and had to buy rights from Yahoo for long shelf life ..tricky combination lol
I don’t know if anyone mentioned it in yesterday’s video but I was thinking: if they had some kids (or anyone) that was into rocks (which there were quite a bit laying around) or digging, they may have designated a spot in the basement for “the digger” to dig, hence the big hole. They may have even dug up the bottles you found in todays video. Just a thought….
I agree - the bottles most likely came from around the property. Hmm... maybe we can take a walk around the property and see if there are any old garbage dumping sites. That would be awesome to look at!
have you ever found a calamity Jane and (or) her horse. i got that for my 5th or 6yth birthday '68 or '69. she came with a purse that held a compact and lipstick. no worries about small object and small children back then.
Would you perhaps mean a Jane West doll? I had a Jane doll with her horse, and my best friend had Jane and Johnny West dolls with horses. We played for hours. So many tiny accessories. I think I remember a saddlebag, but not a purse right off. It was kind of cool they were jointed and could be posed. I am cleaning out a storage locker, my own, and know I still have her somewhere...I hope. Of course, I could be totally off track about your doll. In that case, Oops! P.S. I think I got mine for Christmas in about '67 or '68.

Said in the first was a hoarders house situation, I feel sad for situations like that. But just like abandoned lockers, something has to be done. Glade you can save things from the dump. 👍👍
Foreclosure, so not sure how much time they had to remove stuff. I knew someone who was in foreclosure & waited until about 3 months before to move stuff out. They took what they wanted/what meant the most to them and left the rest. As you said, it is a sad situation and/or something that we don't know the whole story too.
